They have a good selection of products, but customer service is not good. Waited forever for some help on a product, which was kept locked up. When the guy finally showed up he was surly and knew nothing about the product. Make sure you do lots of research before you get there.

Perhaps more than one home Depot employee could be assigned to helping customers in the electrical section. This is ridiculous waiting 30 minutes for some help and having to walk out because I don't have that kind of time to waste. These supply stores are getting more and more user unfriendly. Someone needs to step in and get this place in check.

I will NEVER buy anything that is not on the shelf from Home Depot EVER Again. The crappiest customer service EVER. I got a call the morning of delivery saying there is a dent and because she found a dent they have to reschedule the delivery of the same item! This was after I already had to cancel my doctor appointment(s) and other daily scheduled life matters… because Home Depot emailed at 4 pm (less than 24 hour notice) with a HUGE window for delivery FROM 3 AM TO 2:59 AM THE NEXT DAY! On the call about dent She ensured that if I accept the delivery I can call Home Depot (gave me a number) and ask for new appliance or I will receive a nice discount because of the damage, but I have to make that decision only while the crew is at my house making the delivery. So I thought: what do I have to lose? I am given a chance to check it out, either I get a discount or get a new appliance. I was told I can get a replacement in 7 business days if I wanted a new one. So, even though rescheduling for a new day to receive delivery after cancelling all my life for that day sucked, I agreed to see the appliance in person and decide whether I’ll take the discount or rejected and return it for a new appliance. Once they finally got here the damage was HUGE, MUCH bigger than what I was explained OR SHOWN in photos. At this point I am actually concerned if it is dysfunctional but I have to take all the tapes out and install to test it but the crew won’t stay for that… I called the number to see what kind of discount I would have. Welp I had to wait 10 minutes for an agent on the phone. Then I was told The delivery crew were not allowed to wait for me while I am put on the waiting list! Home Depot said I have to remain online to talk to an agent but they wanted to leave immediately. so I was not given any option for discount because the delivery crew did not handle money anyway. ALSO Now I was told if I decide to return the appliance, they have no idea when I will get the next one. It could be as late as 45 days because she couldn’t see where she could locate an available one nearby until I rejected the item and the 7 day promise was bogus! The only reason I ordered from Home Depot was because I am in desperate need to replace the stove! If I wanted to wait 45 days I would order somewhere else! What pushed me over the edge was that the delivery crew told me Home Depot does this ALL THE TIME to get away with damaged product. At this price point if you think I will spend another dime during my home remodel on Home Depot you are SOooooo MISTAKEN and STUPID.

have never been treated so good by an employee. Justin Moore is his name, I think? Please give Justin a Raise. He was so kind and willing to help me find exactly what I was looking for. ReadEmployee, Justin Moore needs recognition for his outstanding positive attitude and professionalism that he gave me. I left the store with a smile on my face and even though the product I was looking for wasn't in stock, Justin treated me so well, that I will be coming back to this store a lot more often. Thank you Justin Moore.

I usually love going to Home Depot but this was the worst costumer service I have ever experienced! The lady at self checkout name of Kelly was so disrespectful and rude to not only my friends and I but also to lady who was disabled. This disabled lady told me she was waiting 20+ minutes for someone to help her. Kelly wouldn't even acknowledge she was there. I bought my items without issue. But when my friends found out they didn't have enough money to buy both a plant and a fan I volunteered to buy the plant (I did) they asked to void the payment so that they could get just the fan. Kelly rudely told her "You can't cancel you can pay and then return" my friend explained to Kelly that her card hasn't been charged since she didn't have enough and wanted to just get the fan. Then she cancelled it and said "Whatever guys" my friend also did not have enough money for the fan and once again asked to void it. Kellys response was "You really want me to do this again!?" With so much attitude. She said yes please. Then I gathered the items I paid for and we went to leave. We were almost out the door when Kelly yells at us "BYE GUYS GOODBYE!!" for no reason. Never experienced something like that before. She was so rude!!!!!

First time and last time using home delivery. This was my concern going into home delivery for wood and of course, the person filling my order was kind enough to give me the shiplap boards that obviously no one was taking because they're garbage. Look at the pictures, the rest aren't much better with many imperfections. They don't need to be perfect, but come on people.

Made a return, return became store credit. Attempted to use said store credit for purchase within the same HD trip. Checkout would not allow. I had the store credit card, the brand new pin I had just scratched off, the ID I used for the return but for whatever reason the system would not accept it. My options were to wait 15 minutes for the system to reset and try again or use another form of payment. Why wait another 15 minutes for a potential for a store credit to work? And all this for a less then $5 credit. This return/store credit security process is ridiculous. Do better Home Depot!

This store is a mess! Not enough lumber carts for customers. They are almost all being used by the store. No one in the paint department knows what they are doing. They can even match their own stain. It took 4 employees to finally figure it out.

I had to replace a roof on a large building I own. I went to the pro desk at Tumwater HD and provided my list which totaled just under 5k. I was hurt and demoralized, no lie. Then he said he would submit it to the bid room to see if I could get a discount. I did! Just over almost 1k of a discount. That made my day! This was after I had visited the blue big box store in Olympia. No discount there. When I shop at HD, I always go to the Tumwater store. Not for any reason other than the employees there are just nice, accommodating and generally make great effort to help you out. Other stores just aren't as helpful. I've always walked out of that store satisfied.

It's not the best customer service. But online is great, and have it shipped there for pick up. I was able to take advantage of their 50% off furniture. This is a lovely vanity for your hair and makeup. You definitely need your patience pants on to put together. It took us 7 hours! My husband refused to take advantage of the $20.00 fee to have someone come to your house and put it together for you. I love this vanity.

The same thing has happened to me twice at Home Depot: ask a person dressed as an employee where an item is. Employee points the customer to an aisle and a bin number. The item isn't there. The customer asks a second employee (after a search for any employee) about the item. Second employee sends the customer to an aisle at another part of the store, where the item actually is. Then, the customer gets to walk some more, in search of an open cash register. It was probably such a long search because the customer visited Home Depot on a weekday.

We caught an excellent sale on Primroses @.99 and bought ten. We found plastic patio cover materials and lumber. It was a good day!

I have been to this location twice in the last year and the customer service with exception to Stephen who helped us with our order, is horrible at best! It took over an hour to get our online order loaded today. The manager was less than helpful and clearly doesn't know or care what customer service is, if you tell someone you will be out with the rest of their order in 10 minutes don't make them wait over 30 minutes I will never come back to this store, not that they care!

I did not like having to assist with lifting my freezer. Although it was medium size...my knee and hip were bothering me. Other than that...the customer service was fair...based on the associate appearing not to trust that I had the financial resources to pay for the item. Apparently, people in this area commit larceny to a disturbing degree. I'm so lucky to be in Tumwater...?!? Really miss the Tampa stores. RE: Much nicer service. And I discovered that my freezer was scratched when I removed it from the box. I would have returned it...but again, my knee and hip said, "Nay-nay!" So I kept it. Sigh.

So most of the time I have to find everything on my own here but today I met two employees that were amazing. One helped me find my product and walked me there. The other employee his name was Bob was super knowledgeable and explained fully how to fix my screen door. Great employees out there. 5 starts to home Depot and their helpful employees. Screen door fixed.

This is a well stocked Home Depot and Patti at customer service helped us out. Had got a window like 6 or 8 weeks ago but never took it out of packaging, when I finally was ready to install and opened it, the window had a crack across the corner of it. I knew it didn't happen since I picked it up, and they were great about the situation and exchanged it no problems. Patti was very helpful and knowledgeable both of which is rare in my experience with HD employees.

I huge shout out to the nice lady that answered the phone for tool rental in Tumwater on Dec 30. We needed a truck and tractor, unfortunately their tractor was stolen. But she was so awesome and helped us find another location that had what we needed. Thank you!!

Well I'm giving it a 3-star rating only because I have to split up the five stars allowed between two different home depots. I would prefer to use all of my stars for just one home Depot instead, however I don't think that's going to be possible. If I were to get it the right review then that would be a total of 10 Stars possible between the two different locations. However, you know now that I think about it I don't usually use the word however that often, however I have no choice but to continually use it over and over because of the fact that I have two different home depots now to review. Okay now I'm just frustrated. Because all I wanted to do is place your simple review on the website, and now they're asking for a second one. Don't they have other things to do besides to keep asking people for reviews? As far as The store goes though it's a great place to shop, if you're in the market for things that they carry. And the employees are really nice. And helpful. So I guess I could have just said yeah it's a good place to go shop in the first place LOL

My experience was great. I went in and needed to use the restroom, which I was quickly given easy to follow directions to. The bathroom was clean and the toilet paper was stocked. I was able to wash my hands and dry them without touching anything. After leaving the restroom, my stomach let me know I was getting hungry so I headed to the front for a bag of MnMs. Those were also fully stocked right next to the self checkout. The self checkout worked well and took my $2 without any issue. When giving back change, however, it was 1 penny short, but I digress. I headed back to the cabinet area to find my boyfriend unhappy with his service. He scheduled an appointment, but after 30 min and 2 calls to the employee, noone showed. He said we had to leave, but that ended in my favor because he wanted a drink, which meant we got to go out. So all in all, ok day at the home depot.

They probably have what you are looking for to tackle most home repair or improvement projects. Problem is that Home Depot has become an exercise in self help so don't expect knowledgeable staff to answer your questions or help you find anything. Once you find what you need you would think a nice friendly person in an orange vest would at least be there to scan your items and take your money. Nope, you get to do that yourself as well. I hate self check, can't even buy a can of spray paint without waiting for approval. Then there's that voice from above "Customer needs assistance in self check area." It's unrelenting!

This is a clean, organized location and I came shopping for chain link fence parts. Dude you really need to look over your chain link fence area and restock the parts. Sure you got poles and fence but there are no connectors no tie wire, no post caps. It's one section of the store that I'm sure can be forgotten but it really needs to be restocked. I drove all the way from Aberdeen because it said you had nine shovel handles in stock but when I got there it was empty. So please update your computer system as well. Customer service side you get five stars, as for actually having the stuff your customer needs you get zero Stars for an average of 3 stars.

Only 2 employees spoke to me the entire time I was there. After checking out my materials no one helped me get them in my car. Another shopper helped me. I don't know if it was lazy people or racist people but the experience was horrible and I will not shop there again. On top of that I'm filing a complaint with corporate

Absolutely the last time I go to Home Depot instead of Ace Hardware. They literally just dropped off 40 pavers and paved sand at my truck for curb side delivery and said “there you go”, turned around and walked away. Leaving my 7 month pregnant wife to help me load up 700lbs of pavers. No offer to help, just turned around and walked away.

The store is great, but possibly understaffed? (Like everywhere right now) employees were friendly and tried to help, but we spoke with 3 different employees and were sent to 3 different locations of the store before we found salt for our water system. First we were sent to the garden department, then plumbing by the water heaters, then next to the front of the store (where it was finally found) suggestion: if employees don't know where something is, it is perfectly ok to get on the radio and ask. But the store is large, clean and well stocked. The only indicator that they may be short on employees is that every shopping cart was in the parking lot, and the store was not busy.

A pretty nice area for a H/D. I still say the very best part of home depot is that if you pull up that particular location H/D on the cell phone APP. And for evry item when you browse, it will tell you exactly WHERE that item IS in THAT particular store. SO awsome.!!!! Saves countless time on trying to find what your looking for. I'd love to shake the hand of whoever came up with that particular feature.

Very good store, biggest problem - lack of leadership. Lots of staff walking aimlessly around. Self checkout line of 10 people going down aisle. One checker by door line of over 10 people too. Help desk standing around same with boss pit. 4 people at boss pit talking (stood by an listened- talking non work related stuff). Don't work their or get paid to use self check out.

DO NOT BUY APPLIANCES FROM THIS STORE! If I could post with zero stars I would. I made the mistake of buying a fridge from here, the store system was really bad and it took the associate a very long time to complete the order. No issues with the associate who helped us because it is not her fault the computer system was horrible. The fridge model we chose required each panel to be added on separately with customizeable colors. When the fridge was delivered, the top two panels were for a different model and did not fit. The delivery crew called in to inform of the error and someone from home depot was supposed to contact us within 24 hours to schedule a delivery for the correct panels. 5 days later and no phone call, we called the store first with zero help. They said we should have called the number on the delivery receipt and couldn't help us. So i called the number on the receipt and again they did not want to help. The person on the line was very rude and informed me that the order was canceled as if i should accept that as resolved, WITHOUT having the panels on the front of my refridgerator. He was confused as to why I was even calling with a problem. The best they could do was tell me to reorder the panels myself. Guess where i will not be making a large purchase at again?

This is such an amazing place. IF you're ever in search for any household items, THIS IS THE PLACE!!! In the probable future we're looking to move and we thought it would best to browse for any said affordable appliances. There were several on sale. As time will arrive (someday) we will know that's where we will shop.

😠 I went in Monday at 4 pm and there’s like 7 aisles blocked off in the auto and tool section. I couldn’t even get what I needed. This happened too many times and now I’m finally fed up and writing a review. This blockage should not be during the day. It should be at night.
