The location is perfect.. In the middle of the downtown.. However for a five stars hotel.. It misses a lot. We stayed at hotel africa for three nights. There was a problem with the cooling system inside the rooms.. So we waited for around 4 hours till I had a room with a working Air conditioner. All with a very slow service and not very reactive. They were finally nice enough to upgrade our room when we talked to the manager. Also you would feel that the cleanliness is not up to a five stars hotel.

If you want a hotel from the 90s, this might be for you. It's very old and rundown. My sink and shower were plugged, so I could not use them. Almost overpaid until I asked for a receipt and got the original price. I got one of the worst suite rooms ever. I recommend Novotel in Du Lac II, which will meet your expectation of a modern hotel. One good note, I want to thank the baggage attendant for helping me recover my phone. Otherwise, it's awful.

The hotel staff were friendly. However, I must express my disappointment with the overall experience at the hotel. It did not meet the expectations one would have for a five-star establishment. The cleanliness of the rooms fell below standard, and there was an unpleasant odor. Additionally, I encountered a broken window, which was unfortunate. The breakfast experience was also unsatisfactory. Overall, my stay at the hotel was quite disappointing… I do not recommend this hotel

to start off, the corridors have a stinky smell, also the rooms, uncomfortable beds, room service enters at 7 am without knocking on the door, no running water in the bathrooms, bad internet, expensive and not worth it breakfast, not working air conditioners the service at the reception was very slow and unpleasant experience, they employ very unprofesional people, I don't even know how they got a five star rating! and the room service are have a heated argument right at my door. would recommend the hotel right by it, Carlton hotel, its much much better for the price paid. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

I haven't visited the rooms but the hotel is in a very good shape, kind of luxury with security guards always at the entrance. Nice building with many flags on top. The hotel is located on the bourguiba avenue near municipal theatre.

The hotel was excellent. The rooms were clean, and the staff was amiable. I enjoyed the morning view, located in the most famous center in Tunis.

A+ staff, very clean room, stayed in ambassador suite. Amazing food for room service. Nothing they won't accommodate. Ask for non smoking if preferred. Slightly dated but it's still very nice. If you are american ask for more toilet paper. Fairly comfortable bed and hot showers. Will stay here again for sure. Location cannot be beat!

3 stars. Nice cafe on the promenade. One of few places in Tunis with wifi. The other one is restaurant in Novotel hotel. Not sure why wifi is not available in all cafes in Tunis...

The overall service is bad. Except couple individuals who tried to really do there best. Such as Mohammad Fadi on the reception, the room service lady and the bill boy. The rest of the team is below average. It should not be rated a 5 stars hotel at all. No amenities, old rooms, horrible AC, breakfast is very basic.

Room was old furnished; smelling cigarette smoke; bed was awful and uncomfortable! I stayed there 4 days and my money(USD 400,€ 350) was stollen at room. The Hotel Management ignored, and my complain was rejected! They denied my claim. Please keep away from El Mouradi Africa!.. My experience was absolutely catastrophe!.. :(((

    · Wi fi connection breaks every 2 min or you don't have. In room there is not coffee or sugar, fridge doesn't cooling down. Price is too big for what they don't provide in hotel. Also cheating in changing money in hotel.

** Not Recommended** 2 STAR HOTEL AT BEST Visited the lobby cafe for coffee. The order was forgotten. Received the order on the second request, finished the coffee, and was about to leave only to be abused and accused by THE SECURITY GAURD for not ordering anything. Asked for the Manager and was told by the DOOR MAN that he is busy and cant come, without even asking him to come. Day 2 - Tried to give it another go as i have a meeting nearby; Told the reception that the lobby is ridden with mosquitoes and he just smiled it off. Killed a mosquito and took it to him and asked if he can spray the area. It seems to be ignored.

Excellent hotel for enjoyment and tranquility. Wonderful views of the city. perfect location. Excellent room cleaning service. The staff is very respectful and attentive. The restaurant services are very good, the breakfast exquisite, the restaurant staff very professional, communicative and attentive. In general, I consider it a very good hotel, perhaps some small details such as that it does not have a swimming pool, a spa room, or a games room, but it is also worthy of its category.

I recently stayed at the Hotel Africa and was pleasantly surprised. Having read some of the reviews I didn't expect much. But my room was very comfortable, clean and looked current, except for the TV which was an older model but worked just fine. Overall the hotel is in a great location in the city with an easy walk to the Medina and train station. The restaurant staff were extremely professional and took great care of us, especially Balhassan and Billy, they were exceptional. The breakfast and dinner buffets had a good variety of well prepared food. There was a comfortable bar and the lobby was attractive. Finally there was 24 hour security at the entrance which made me feel safe. I would definitely stay there again.

I spent three nights in this hotel.. It is considered one of the most expensive hotels in Tunisia. The location is good. The services are very average. The elevator is a disaster. The food is tasteless. Frankly, there are different types of food, but zero out of ten. I hope the management will improve the taste of food.

We didn't stay at the hotel, only had coffee at the outside tables. The coffee was surprisingly expensive for Tunis. Not bad, but definitely overpriced. No wonder when we sat down we were the only customers... and a local couple walked by twice, obviously she wanted to sit at a table but he was unhappy about the prices.

There are just not enough good things that I can say about this hotel. I can say without hesitation that the staff were most competent, professional, and helpful I've ever had the pleasure to deal with. No request or query was too much. My room was silent, immaculate, and well appointed. The bed was extremely comfortable. I recommend this hotel as highly as one possibly can.

Being close to sensitive government buildings makes it a bit worrying. Although it has a nice walking area and many coffee shops and stores.

a very good place where to stay, next to the old town and to the modern city centr,e this 4 star hotel is one of the best places where to stay if you are in tunis for few days. Rooms are spacious and the staff is nice, breakfast good too.
