We have done a private 4-day tour from Tupiza to Salar de Uyuni. The biggest problem is that some of the promises that they made before the trip they didn’t accomplish. There were not enough water and snacks for us (and they said that we will have “plenty of water and snacks “). We received 4 cookies and one juice in the morning and nothing more in the afternoon! Besides that, they have said that the guide would give us wine every night. The guide give a bottle of wine just in the last night and because I start talking about wine; if I wouldn’t do that, they wouldn’t give us the wine. Ok, we didn’t need the wine, but the problem is that they promised and we indirectly pay for it and we didn’t received it. The Itinerary includes Laguna Verde, but since the first day, our guide express his will of not wanting to go there. Again we payed for a tour for this place and he didn’t want to go there. Well we insisted and he took us there (but very mad! He drove very fast to the Laguna!). I have to thank my husband because he insisted for us to go there, because that was the best place that we visited in this 4-day tour. In the Salar, the driver didn’t want to go far away because he is afraid to harm the car. In result, we spend 4 days in a car trip to see the Salar, but the driver took us just a few km from Colchani. And the tour included the company of a cooker, but we spent most of these four days in hotels that have dinner and breakfast, so we didn’t need the services of a cooker, and besides that they promised us the “exquisite Bolivian cuisine”, but all we received for lunch was cold meals, like rice cold, meat cold, spaghetti cold that she did the night before. This was far far far away from an exquisite cuisine. Another problem is the loud music that the driver insisted to play all day long. It was always the same style of music and he didn’t do a break for our heads! When I asked him to put the music just in front of the car, it got better, but we kept listening to the same music until the forth day! And the tour didn’t make it clear that the prices of the hotels are not included in the price of the tour, so you have to take care and make sure everything that is included or not included before you pay it.

After six months of traveling, the 4 day Uyuni tour with Alexandro was on of our absolute highlights - there is not a single thing that we could critique: our guide René answered all our questions and was always supporting us with taking great pictures, safe driving and jokes, the 4x4 was of high quality with seat belts, the accommodations were always clean and comfortable, and the meals by our cook Marta were delicious ! We leave this experience with incredible fun memories and photos of one of the most beautiful landscapes of the world Thank you, Maxime & Marco

Very unreliable communication unfortunately when it comes to Uyuni Tours. The office is most of the times closed and via WhatsApp messages get ignored. I put down my name for a Uyuni tour and was told that normally they take place and that they will be confirmed the day before. However, I didn't hear anything back, even after sending some reminders to know the status of the tour and to know if it will take place. This way I was not able to leave the day I intended to and had to stay longer in Tupiza, waiting a whole day for a reply and thus not looking for other alternatives. The night before the day I wanted to leave I went to the office of another agency and got a confirmation for a tour right away. The routes are more or less the same for all agencies, as are the prices. Pity I didn't go there in the first place. I also did a horse-riding tour with Alexandro Tours around Tupiza, which was great with guide Ariel and I can highly recommend it.

10/10 my girlfriend's first time riding a horse and fantastic views. Proudly provided by the easiest booking process through Alexandro Adventure tours. Would recommend 👌

We had a great time on the 3-hr horseback riding trip. The Inca Canyon is beautiful and worth checking out. Our guide was really friendly and made it easy despite me not knowing much Spanish. The people in the office were also very friendly and gave good advice.

We did a tree hour horse riding tour. The views were amazing. The horses were really calm and well trained (we could ride them with 0 experience). The guide was friendly as well as the people in the office.

We took a bike tour with Alexandro and we would highly recommend it. You leave by SUV from Tupiza and go up a local mountain. There you go out and take the bike all the way down. It was really chill and with beautiful views! Would highly recommend doing this for a day.

Alexandro and his team are great in offering a unique experience into the Uyuni desert. Along with my group of 15 people, in August, I spent 5 days and 4 night in Uyuni desert: from Salares to Ciudad encantada, from Laguna blu to Laguna colorada. The cars were well equipped, all the team is experienced, professional and flexible. A special thanks goes to Veronica and her sister, the best cocineras in Bolivia (for all the needs, including vegetarians and vegans).

We did 2 days with the horses and it was a great experience, the people on the agency we're super nice and we had a great time in the trip. Beautiful landscapes and very authentic villages on the way. Can't recommend them enough. They even kept our luggage when we we're away.

We had a great horseback riding tour in tupiza. It was easily arranged and well taken care of. And the views are stunning! Recommended for a nice morning. We also booked a tour of the salar here. It was incredible! So much thanks to Froilan for taking us on this amazing journey. Everything was very well taken care off and organized smoothly. Plus, amazing cocktails! We visited sights when there were little other tours and even some additional visits were added which was definitely a plus. The car also worked properly and we felt very safe throughout the tour. This compared to other agencies we saw having trouble. Generally just amazing views 24/7! Absolutely recommend alexandro tours. And shoutout to Helen from the office for organizing everything for our last minute choices and finding a nice and fun group. Great service!!

We are back from the 4 days of the classic tour of southern Bolivia. We would like to recommend our guide Julio, from this agency Alexandro Tours. He made our stay incredible, thanks to his kindness, his advice and his flexibility! We will remember it and him for a long time. He will know how to inform you about what you see, we eat well, he drives calmly (and this is important, be prepared for the altitude), and he is smiling. We even had the right to little surprises like an aperitif on the salar at sunset. The agency is also competent, offers complete and flexible tours according to the desires of each. You can contact them to have the programs in PowerPoint. You can go there without any fear, with the right guide!

Great experience with Alexandro tours! We went on a 4 days trip with a 4x4 through the Sud Lipez and Salar de Uyuni with them. Our guide Rolando was the best we could ask for, very attentive, giving explanations, listening and answering our questions and doing his best to fulfil our wishes! As you can see on the picture, he's giving everything to get the best pics 🤣💪🏼 It can sounds normal for a guide to do all of this, but trust me, the tour would definitely not have been the same without Ronaldo! Ask for him if you can! At last, the tour was complete regarding meals and snacks, we had Juanita, a very sweet and smiling person as a cook! Highly recommended :)

Our driver German was careful and professional, very kind as a person too, but he was not English speaking even thought the agency told us that the guide would speak English. As for the food, the portions were huge, but as for my tase, it was not varied at all and often tasteless, probably because the cook was not travelling with us and we had to rely on the cooks from the hotels we stopped for the nught. The tour was great anyway. The views are worth any inconvenience you may need to face during the journey

We booked a 3-hour horse riding tour and are very happy with our experience. The people at the office as well as those who accompanied us during the trip were very friendly. The Inca Canyon was beautiful, they brought snacks, made photos and videos of us, and at the end there was an opportunity to galop.

We decided to choose a departure from Tupiza to finish it at the Salar de Uyuni; since 80% of the trips usually start from Uyuni itself. We took the good decision! We did 4 days of trekking and 3 nights. All organized by Alexandro Tours, from the transportation (confortable jeeps for 4 or 5 people + driver + a cook) to the catering and accommodation. Everything has been perfectly organized and we couldn’t expect to have such a lovely team. Palermo was our driver and Katy our cook. Palermo is a very talented driver and loves hitting the road with enthusiastic music. He is also very funny and helping (my boyfriend and I didn’t speak good Spanish, but Palermo never made us feel like it was a problem to communicate, which was very pleasant). He is very passionate by his country and give the best impression of it ! Katy was also very supportive, cooking good and sufficient meals for everyone. She was a little bit like the mama for the group. The explanations of Palermo and Katy about places we visited were detailed. They helped us a lot to take good pictures as well depending on the sun position or the reflection of the lake etc. I highly recommend Alexandro Tour and the staff for this 4 days trekking starting from Tupiza to Uyuni. For us it was the best way to visit this area (not too much people on the road, finishing with the great Salar de Uyuni, having lunches outside in wonderful landscapes and staying in local accommodations with local families as hosts). If you choose this tour, please keep in mind that you are not doing it to find the comfort of your house, but to see extraordinary views, feel completely in line with nature and discover the way of being in the countryside of Bolivia (yes, you will be cold, no you wouldn’t shower everyday, bus yes it is definitely worth it!) If you have to choose 1 trek to do in Bolivia and want your financial investment to worth it, go to Alexandro Tour and pick this 4 days tour.

We took the four day, three night Salar tour to Uyuni with Alexandro Travel. The overall price was good (1,150 BOB per person and approx 250 BOB extras like entrance fees and showers). We had an excellent time and would highly recommend the tour. The timings work much better than going from Uyuni so you see much less tourists and arrive at better times at the sights and accommodation. For our tour we had Nelson as our driver/guide/photographer and Paola as our cook. Both were absolutely excellent and really ensured we had an amazing tour. Nelson was very informative and also has a great sense of humour. He ensured we also arrived at the right time at the sites, before the big crowds. He also took some brilliant photos and videos for us. He is a very safe driver and we felt very comfortable with him. Paola cooks us very nice food and was also helpful with our questions. One of the highlights of the tour was the drinks we were given. We had wine and cocktails each day (expect day one) with our meals, and the best part was the wine, cheese and olives platter Nelson set up for us on the last night while we watched the sun set. He ensured we arrived first for the nicest spot, and that we left last after we had plenty of pictures. He also brought us to the island for sunrise on the last day, which proved an excellent choice as there were only four other people there watching with us. Alexendro tours really stood out on price and quality. I highly recommend them for the Salar tour, and ask for Nelson as your driver too.

Tldr: Alejandro tours is exceptionally professional. It’s easy to be good when everything goes smoothly, but service is best judged when troubles appear. Here, you’re sure to be in good hands! —- We first started with Nelson, a truly great guide profusely praised on various forums. Unfortunately, his car had a problem from the outstart - in spite of having been checked-up a couple of days earlier. Both Nelson and the office did everything they could for us to stay on schedule. We made it to the first hostel, and they somehow managed to get someone to drive from Uyuni in the middle of the night. Because of the pandemic, the pool of staff in the whole region is greatly reduced - so that was a real challenge. Alvaro, the only replacement available, unfortunately really didn’t match the standards of Alejandro’s, and we talked to the agency about that as soon as we got signal. Indeed, it had been a one-time contract to help us out, and it confirmed what we had heard about Uyuni guides (as opposed to Tupiza) sometimes being very rude. Once again Alejandro’s staff were attentive and responsive, sincerely apologizing for the issues encountered. Sometimes, in spite of the best intentions and efforts, it’s just a matter of luck… As for everything else, the regular team, the cook, sleeping arrangements - it was all really really good. If we ever come back, we’ll know who to turn to for sure 🙂

Definitely the best company you can choose to do a tour to the salt flats. We did the 4 day tour starting in Tupiza and ending in Uyuni. Alvarho our guide was amazing! He's really passionate about his work, the nature and the animals. We learnt a lot on the trip and could not have had a better guide! We also had an amazing chef who prepared great bolivian food. The only thing we would really recommend is to hire a sleeping bag or bring your own! Unfortunately the company didn't tell us and the nights were freezing.

👍👍 We just finished a fantastic tour with Rubén Cazon and his wife Ada. Over the last four days we visited coloured lagoons, enchanted cities out of sand, slept in a very nice salt hotel, saw flamingos and lamas and of course the stunning salt flats. As two vegetarians we were very happy with Ada's me...
