Charming local trattoria that was within short walking distance for our hotel. We walked past during dinner hours and noticed a long queue outside which made us hesitant. However, we were seated quickly - the place is massive ;). Food came quickly and it felt homemade and simple, service quick and attentive. Definitely worth a visit if you would like a different option for dinner.

Pizza was so sweet it tasted like a dessert pizza. Took one bite out of one slice and was told by our server that too much of it was eaten to send it back and get something else. Tried to salvage what we could of the meal, but even scraping the soggy onion topping off, there was literally no other flavor underneath besides sugar. Onions were cooked into an unidentifiable jam-like paste. Just a really gross pizza overall and way overpriced for something inedible. Two stars for ambience (very cool building) and the drinks, 0 for wildly disappointing food and service.

Di Silvio Trattoria in the Getsemani neighborhood is an awesome Italian restaurant. I love the rustic but elegant atomosphere with good background music. Meals are large. The tres leches for dessert was one of the best I've ever had.

We ordered the Di Silvio pizza two salads and two pasta entrees. The pizza was amazing, crust perfect and a good combination of ingredients where nothing overpowered the other. The only thing I would improve is the bread that comes with the food. I don’t know if they make it themselves, but it looks and tasted like cheap supermarket bread.

And service was average at best for colombia, but definitely below average for Cartagena, as I experiences very good service in most of the places I went. I’m giving them 4 stars because nothing was bad, but nothing was great either. Not worthy of a second visit for me.

What I will say is that I wonder if it was a wine keg vs bottle because of how chilled it was. Also, notice it’s cheaper by the glass than the bottle ($20 mil/glass or $96mil/bottle). If I go back I’ll try the bottle and see if quality is better for the higher price. - 🍝 Marinera pasta (squid, shrimp, mussels), you get to choose both pasta type and sauce. I chose penne and pomodoro (tomato) sauce. Here’s where I was let down. Entirely over cooked! I mean in every capacity. The pasta fell apart from sticking the fork in it. The squid I couldn’t even eat, rubbery. And the shrimp was edible but also over done. - 🥖 Bread is complementary but didn’t come with olive oil or butter. Wasn’t even toasted, it was just slices of Italian bread. Would I go again? Yes! The vibes alone are great, but next time I’ll order the pizza.
