Food: great. Prices: cheap. Service: extremely poor and rude. If you value cheaper prices rather than good service, this place is for you. If you want to be treated as a paying customer, them avoid. Waitresses seem very busy, just running like headless chicken, move table, put table, asked 5 times for bread. Main arrived before starter. Given a table for 3 when we were 5. My son being told off for touching the cutlery in the table we were given first (but it was impossible to fit in 5, in a square table for 4, not difficult geometry!) I can go on and on but I will stop here, good Piedmont food, cheap prices but pooooooor service :( if you can afford, pay more and be treated like a human (and hopefully a paying custumer)

Very happening and nice view to the church. We were very lucky to get a table at 7pm after that people queued. Very good house wine (we had red) and the food was also well prepared and tasty. One star less since the service personal didn’t bring ordered items and took also a while to come to us. But since the local was pretty busy this issue should be addressed by the management by getting more staff. The biggest highlight was at the time to pay, it was great value for money. If we would get back? Very probably

We first came here for a lunch, and what a surprise it was when we’ve seen a queue of 20 people waiting for the entrance there. We came to the waitress and she kindly said that unfortunately she can offer us only dinner, so we booked the table for 7pm and returned later. So my advice is to book the place in advance, always. Anyways, the popularity of the place is quite understandable. Prices are super fair! We had a vitello tonnato, and second dish for each of us, meat was really good, potatoes too, the taste is really great, portion is nice for this price as well. Personally for me vitello tonnato is top. We had also desserts there and 0.5 of white wine. Paid 13.5 per person, really surprising in Torino! The experience is excellent, serving is fast, waiters speak English. To return!

Do not get discouraged by the queue. It moves pretty fast, and the food is definitely worth the wait. It is a true gem of the gastronomy in Turin. This place is a dream, the menu is limited, but every item is delectable and the price is unbelievable. The photos don’t do justice, but the crowd should tell you that the place lives up-to its hype.

The true Italian spirit in a single meal. The food options vary, so don't expect to have the same menu over and over every time you get there. Usually, it's busy, but waiting at the line, it's definitely going to be worth it. And it is also very cheap. So enjoy! 😉

I think this restaurant must be very famous because it is always full of people about 30 min after opening so you should book a table beforehand. Even though their menu does not offer too many choices and no pizzas actually, their food is amazing at very low price (coperto of only 1 euro). Very fast service and friendly staff. They also offer Piemontese food that you must try when visiting Torino (tomini al verde).

Be ready, the queue is really long after 7pm, but the prices are the lowest in the city. There was a limited choice on a fixed menu. The food itself was very good. However, it was all at breakneck speed with a fast turnover: they want customers to clear off pretty quickly. The serving takes 2-3 minutes and everything is taken from the oven, hot and fresh! It is the best place to try piedmontese food. Always full of people so is a must try if you ever been traveling to Torino.

Delicious! The queue is long but it’s worth the wait or you can do like us and ask the host to reserve a place for the next day for example. We took the tasting platter, meat with mushrooms and the pasta. It was very good and the prices are just so cheap. So definitely must try!!

Classic family cuisine from Turin. We came for lunch during the week, and the place was packed. We queued for around an hour, but thankfully were able to get a nice spot on the terrasse. As you’d expect from most restaurants in Turin, the food was delicious. Highly recommended, but come early or be prepared to queue if you want a table!

mind that if it’s 22:00 you will be forced to leave because they’re closing. Nice food, great prices, even better nice little spot. Staff is helpful and kind but unfortunately many of them don’t speak english and will avoid your table if you don’t know italian

Great tasting food. Very busy so service was a little slow...square had some live music and street entertainers. Nice beers. Wines and great selection of pasta/ravioli with veg options. Would visit again!

One of the best local restaurants in Turin to try Italian and Piedmontese cuisine, Its always crowded so you should wait in the queue for a while, dont forget to try their wine and Tiramisu

Piedmontese cuisine represents an important portion of Italian cuisine and in this local restaurant you will appreciate it to its essence. It’s very simple food with cheap price but the quality is at its tops. Highly recommend antipasto mix, you can forget about the other Italian food while having it. If you ever in Turin, come and taste for yourself, just remember to go early, there’s gonna be some table waiting but it’s worthy it.

difficult to find a place to sit. the appetizer not to my taste but good. the spaghetti delicious. then we tried the polo with potatoes, that was also excellent and in the end a coffee and panacotta. A very few seats inside. most of the tables are in the open. i don't recommend it in winter

Amazing food! Every dish we had for dinner was quite memorable. It felt like grandmother’s kitchen and the taste of the food was like the best homemade cooking you can get. The service was great as well, no one rolled their eyes due to our little spoken Italian language. It was a bit chaotic in the restaurant as it was busy, otherwise, a great atmosphere as well.

Popular with tourists and locals alike, this place is a great al fresco dining experience. Local dishes at reasonable prices. Be aware that you can’t make reservations over the phone but you can go early in person and put your name down for a table later in the evening.

Molto buono! My local friend recommended this place and I’m glad I went. I had the carne crudo, tajarin ragu, and house dessert (I think that’s what it’s called?). I suggest going early, because it gets filled up quick (and there’s a reason why 😉)

A genuine restaurant that keeps itself as adherent as possible to local tradition even though it is starting to become touristic. I would suggest to order only Piedmont's specialties and to leave aside the other "generally Italian" dishes. Pesto is not local, neither is the parmigiana. I have especially liked the atmosphere and the service, all gave a homely feeling to the experience. Their prices are unbeatable in this area of Turin. This is still a gem you must try. This is definitely a place I will come back to.

Book a table in advance!!! A great place in the beating heart of the city centre with a great small Menue of four courses. The meals are delicious, fresh, and come in good portions. The prices are perfect. The dessert Menue has four to five items. The service is friendly. And the ambiance is superb. Highly recommended!

Really lives up to the hype, great place for aperitivo, dinner or anything in between. Try the sampler and then come back for the thing you liked most. Pastas are also choice and the food comes fast for such a well visited spot.

I can recommend this place to everyone. They have different dishes every day, the waiting time is short, the staff is nice and the prices are very affordable! Coperto costs 1€, all the first dishes are 6€ (but for me the first dish alone was enough) and the second dishes are all 7€. Nice location.

You don’t come here for service. The food is insanely cheap the quality is great. Feels like a real local gem. Never disappoints. You come here and it’s reliable. Fast pasted, bad service, great food, cheap bill. We had two starters, two mains, 0.5l of wine and a dessert for €34

  • 4/5 Mihai B. 2 years ago on Google
Place your order, eat your meal, and then leave... There's no time to waste because the lunch rush is insane, with many people queuing for a table. The food is adequate but not particularly noteworthy.

Truly amazing food. We came around 2pm so we had the midday menu which was a combination of an antipasti plate, one primi or secondi, wine, coffee, a digestif, unlimited water and bread for 25€ per person. It's one of these places that's always full because the locals go there as well. The food is high quality and the waiters were very kind and welcoming. Absolutely recommend eating there!

Hard to get a table ,seemed very popular but honestly I didn't get what the fuss was about it. As the place was extremely busy, staff seemed tired and everything had to be ordered in a rush..the dish I wished to order was not available and the waitress was rushing me to get something quickly instead so I did and ended up with a very sloppy plate ..no wine classes, no fork..but this is what you get when your main costs 7 EUR I guess. Remember, pics always look better than reality and I did my best to make it edible by covering the dish with a few packages of parmesan. But that was just me, my friends were ok with their dishes :)

A great place to try Piedmontese food. You get to try all the different classic regional dishes. Very friendly service - waitress explained the menu in English that greatly enhanced our ability to choose. Seems to be very popular.

Great place, especially outside at the piazza. Fast service, authentic piemontese food, delicious and unreasonably cheap.

  • 5/5 Quynh Anh N. 2 years ago on Google
A nice surprise. Very fast service and helpful staff. The waiter in caro shirt even spent time to explain us the menu in English despite how busy the place was getting. Food was exceptionally good (mostly cold and small dishes) and cheap! Make sure you arrive before 19:00 or expect a line of queue.

Convivial atmosphere in a nice square a few steps away from the main square, fast service in fact probably a little too brisk. Food is wholesome and very reasonably priced, the piemontese version of slow food served quickly. You can't linger on for a whole evening as you are expected to leave your table within 2 hours but that's understandable given the prices.

Excellent place to have a dinner. But better to book place in advance, or you can wait near the restaurant. Very cheap!

  • 1/5 shahin m. 2 years ago on Google
The quality of food was acceptable. Very bad service. We finished our food but still had some wine to drink. They told us that we have to leave the table as soon as possible because we don't want to order food anymore!

Placed in a charming square in Turin, this place offers typical dishes of piemontese tradition at cheap prices.
