We had a fabulous time on our canal tour. What a great way to see how people live outside the big city. There was such peace and tranquility in the small canals. We stopped and purchased food and drinks from several floating vendors. I loved every minute of our adventure.

We did the Classic Bangkok Tour, and it exceeded expectations on all fronts!!:) Even though it was a bit more expensive than other similar tours, it was more than worth it. We chose our 4 places (Wat Arun, Pak Klong Talad, Canal Temple, and floating market), and each of them were great, but then they went the extra mile and took us to more spots that we also loved. For lunch, they took us to a local market, and had us pick 4 dishes, and everything was amazing. Our guide was knowledgeable, personable, and fluent in English, and our canal driver was great and incredibly accommodating too. Finally, they use very small canals that can go where the other bigger tour operators can’t so we got a very private and authentic view of some of the places in Bangkok. 5 out of 5, will recommend to family and friends.

A plus operation. I messaged them for a tour on WhatsApp - got it set up right away - then we needed to switch the day, also no problem and easy to do. The tour itself was low key and very charming. We opted for the shorter two hour one, without a guide but still our boat captain was so friendly - stopping to point out monitor lizards and birds. Wonderful start to finish! Oh and, he also bought us snacks! Pictured. Really great

This boat tour was one of the highlights of our stay in Bangkok. We had the shorter 2 hour tour with no guide but our boat driver was very friendly and showed us around. Recommend this to anyone looking to see an authentic side of Bangkok. 5/5

We did a private small boat teak adventure tour on June 8, 2202 and it was one of our favorite things we did on our trip. Our tour guide, Vit, was really great. His knowledge of Buddhism was extensive and we really learned a lot from him which helped us throughout the rest of our journey. We saw MANY Monitor lizards and dined on a delicious lunch at the artist cafe. We throughly enjoyed visiting the giant Buddha and then getting to see the very small temple in the forest. The speed of the boat created a cool wind so sweating was not to the extreme. The meeting spot by the BTS skytrain station was easy to find the the directions were perfect. Communication between us and the vendor was immediate and questions were always answered. We would definitely take this tour again. The only thing worth mentioning is you do need to be a bit agile as sometimes climbing in and out of the boat onto the various docks was a bit tricky, but none of us ever had any trouble and the captain was always there with a steady hand. Book this tour, you won’t be disappointed :,)

If you think Things to Do in Bangkok, I can say Canal boat is one of best things to do list up in Bangkok. This small teak boat canal adventure is my friend recommended. they said best tour company. Yes it is true. If I will go back to Bangkok for my next trip, I will book with this company again.

Six years ago for our honeymoon we did this tour with our guide Khing at the time and loved it. So we decided to repeat this trip and got Nui as our guide and had an equally and unique experience. Our favorite highlights this trip was the noodle boat which is rare to come across, the Buddha and the overall length of river causing between the different locations. Nui will drop some knowledge and history on you and not just that of history books but some personally gained knowledge and overall love for Thailand. Highly recommend this tour to all looking to gain a completely different perspective that cannot be found on the streets of Bangkok.

Since I was only in Bangkok for a weekend I didn’t book a tour. On Sunday I decided I would try and get one if I can. Last minute theses people managed to organise a boat and a tour guide on a day when they normally don’t do tours. Since I was on my own it was more expensive but this is normal as even the piers charge a minimum of 2 people fare. Ann (the organiser) was very accommodating on this part also without saying too much. I didn’t really know what to expect at first. Now me being me, I decided to turn up early as after the tour I was heading straight to the airport. I would say aim to arrive at the time they give you because there isn’t really a waiting area or anything at the meeting point and no stall/signs anywhere. It’s just a convenient location from where you can walk to the boat. I met Nui (my tour guide) and she began to ask me a series of questions about my interests, what I would like to see and get from the tour and so on. Let me just say this, Nui is a type of person you never forget. She is so considerate and thinks of what you need before even you know that you need it! The way she explains religion, culture, and projects genuine pride in the heritage that is Thailand is like non other I’ve ever seen on any other tours anywhere thus far. She would make sure I experienced the real Thai experience with everything but especially with the advice on food at the floating market. 100% recommend this tour to anyone who wants to learn and know know rather than just look and understand nothing.

I could not recommend this tour more. My wife and I met our guide Nui in the morning and we were off to the boat and into the canal. Our first stop was a temple. The temple was not crowded with tourists and had a beautiful green glass sculpture. We spent time here talking with Nui about Thailand and learning about different custom. She was very willing to answer any questions we had and gave great insight. After this, we moved on the artist house, flower garden, and weekend floating market. All of the stops were must see and the food at the market was exceptional. Excellent tour, excellent guide! 5/5

Tour guide showed up an hour late. We enjoyed a private tour of Royal Summer grounds in old capitol. Took a boat tour of old moat waterway and stopped for lunch at one of the few restaurants yet open after pandemic tourism crash. Our guide had good English fluency, and driver was experienced at navigating Bangkok traffic during peak periods. Overall, tour felt a little unpolished, perhaps because we only booked the day before and our guide wasn't able to answer some of our basic history questions. Got the feeling he was either filling in for a more experienced guide or was just available on short notice. Friendly and accommodating, though.

Nice tour and an amazing experience to see the old timer Bangkok from the canal. Nui is a funny and nice guide, was a pleasure to spend our time with her. If you wish to see something authentic and real I highly recommend to join them.

We went for a private boat tour around the canals from 3-5pm without a guide. It was brilliant. The boat man was professional, friendly and caring. He will take the time to point out various places and slow down for pictures. We had a great time, it was nice to discover Bangkok. The operator was brilliant at communications.

Compelled to write this as I noticed someone had left a one star rating. Same applies for different business titles Bangkok Boat and Pandan Tours which I believe to be the same. We had a wonderful small canal trip with our guide khun Kop who was really great. From the start, the contact was very easy and we were able to tailor our own trip without following the normal route. We’d already done enough wats for the meantime and we just wanted to have a look around the smaller canals and see how people live. I can only believe the 1-star ratings (there’s one on each of the headers mentioned above) refer to other service providers. For us, these guys were great. They’re perhaps not the cheapest but their whole service was fantastic. Tuk-tuk drivers and other scammers will get paid for bringing customers to the scam boats. Take the time to organise your boat trip calmly in advance. Paying for boat trips which are far shorter than stated and sometimes getting dropped off at piers where you have to pay to get out are well known scams especially around the palace. "The palace is closed"; "the monks are eating" and several other excuses are used to drag you off for a quick boat trip before the palace re-opens. Be wise and don’t be scammed but don’t paint all boat companies with the same brush. These guys were excellent. We’ll do something else with them next time we’re in Bangkok and I’d be pleased to recommend them.

We had the great sunset tour. Ask for Nui if you book. She is genuinely interested in showing you the Bangkok life and a great person to be around. She is also a amazing photographer! I would highly recommend 🛺

We had a wonderful canal tour with Tom. It really made a difference to have a guided tour explaining us details of the culture and history of Bangkok. 100% reccomended!!

Did the Canal tour July 2022. The best tour so far of Bangkok. Painless to organise a last minute well organised longtail boat tour with one WhatsApp message! Great fun as a tour seeing a very different side to Bangkok with the added extras of the orchid farm and fish feeding which was fun. The boatman (Mr Kop) was excellent and so knowledgable and friendly we didn’t miss a guide. Felt safe and well informed throughout.

We had a great time on our tour arranged by Pandan Tours. Our tour guide, Nui, was really awesome. She speaks English very well. We loved going to Chinatown and learning about various local ingredients and dishes. The boat ride -- on a small, traditional Thai motorboat -- was a very special, memorable adventure. We recommend this tour over the large boat tours; we appreciated the fact that this tour is personalized and flexible.

Very highly recommend this company. I lived in Bangkok many years ago and took a number of longtail boats for short tours around Thonburi during that time, but never did an official tour with a guide. I didn't know what to expect with this, but it was such a fantastic experience. Our guide, Ginger, was incredible. She was knowledgeable as most guides are, but she was also really thoughtful and intuitive. When we asked about things, she didn't hesitate to deviate the tour or stop to show us more. When my partner asked what the pink eggs were, she explained and when she saw we were curious, without hesitating she bought one and we ate it later at lunch time (it was a century egg and was one of the strangest things we tried). Ginger is great, and based on what I've read, it sounds like Pandan chooses some excellent guides all around. The tour itself was fun. I wasn't sure what we'd do over so many hours (I'd previously only taken much shorter boat tours), but they do a good job of breaking it up with stops at temples and markets and farms, so you're not just sitting all day. The views are as good as I remember. It's really a wild, green side of Bangkok that you only see in Thonburi and only when you're on the canal. If you're in Bangkok for more than a couple days and you're interested in history and seeing what most of Bangkok used to look like before they paved over most of the canals, I strongly recommend taking a tour of the Thonburi canals. You won't be disappointed.
