Kawi is probably one of the better bars I have been to, worldwide. The cocktails are seasonal, locally sourced, creative, reasonably priced and delicious. They can be accompanied by some great bar snacks and the atmosphere is quiet and intimate. The bartenders are chatty and so enthusiastic about what they do, and there is a great little view out onto the local fields which compliments the relaxed ambiance of the place. This is simply a 'must visit' place in Ubud if you are looking for good food and drink.

Visited after seeing reviews and wasn't disappointed. While the cocktails are pricier than other options around, the atmosphere is sleek and intimate, adding to the pleasure of tasting their unique creations. Probably the best place in the area for a date, it sure is worth stopping by for the drink experience.

Me and my girlfriend had a wonderful experience here. It is like a hidden bar admixed with a little bit of modern Japanese vibe. All the staffs are very friendly. The atmosphere is surprisingly cozy and not overly crowded. Really recommended this place. Yay 🤠

Amazing creation from mostly local products and influences. A whole experience that starts from the design of the room, the kindness of the staff, the perfect balance of tastes. All our 4 cocktails were very subtile, simple yet complex. The barmaid were both very passionate and gave us all the information, all the recommandation they could to offer a perfect experience. Expert mixologist cocktails, hands down the best cocktail fine drinking experience in Bali. Highly recommend the Pisang and Pandan cocktails. If you're in to something super smokey, try the Teh (but with caution!). We walked past the entrance twice without noticing, so keep a lookout for the pictured entrance. Everything is locally sourced or inspired. We went on a Thursday in September 6-7pm and were the only people here. Expect a super secluded feeling atmosphere so may not be to all tastes. We started here and then moved on somewhere busier.

A stunning new bar that I hope continues to thrive. Not only the best in Ubud but one of the most stellar establishments in the world. I had four drinks and a few snacks—all excellent. The staff are so friendly and the spatial design was impressive. Can’t wait to return.

One of our best bar experiences in Bali. The cocktails were very tasty and well balanced (my favourite cocktail was the “Teh”). The bar concept pays homage to Balinese culture and felt very original. Each cocktail has a story and uses locally sourced ingredients. The ambience is very intimate and calming (the music fit the vibe so well - calming yet fun) and is a great change from the busy bars in Ubud town. Extra points for Wayan, our bartender. We had great conversations with him. He was attentive and very good to talk to. He provided great suggestions and took great care of us. Talking to him made us feel like we were at a bar with friends! If you’re in Ubud and are looking for excellent cocktails and a warm, relaxing ambience, go here.

Gorgeous cocktails in a stunning bar. The bartenders were great conversation and really friendly. We visited twice in two evenings because we wanted to try as much of the menu as possible.

Such a great find, the place has a good and warm atmosphere. Service is excellent and cocktails are superb. We returned there twice during our trip, definitely highly recommend! A little hidden so have to look out for the place!

The cocktails are perfectly understated! Bartenders were genuinely passionate and proud of the cocktails which were made with local flavours. Interesting to also learn what Kawi actually means.

One of the best bars I’ve been to. Really interesting cocktails using local ingredients and alcohol. This is the kind of bar you can go to and order any drink and you’ll like it. No matter what kind of alcohol you like, or don’t like. I’d highly recommend this to anyone that likes interesting drinks in a low key, chilled setting

Amazing cocktails. Mixology level blending and design. Real treat while in Bali if you appreciate high level mixologist grade cocktails. Great use of local ingredients and produce. The cocktails are very interesting and non-standard here👌 the bartenders are very friendly and open to tell about the drinks they prepare (it is really important- that means the are really interested in what they do) The place itself is minimalistic which is also a big plus also to its stylish concept willing to come back again)

One of the best bars in all of Bali, such delicious and creative cocktails with really passionate bartenders. It’s right off the main road exactly where google maps says but it’s quite hidden and there’s no sign… adds to the fun!

This is a very special bar. We were thoroughly impressed with the carefully curated menu, the outstanding service, and the one-of-a-kind cocktails. The ‘Tomat’ cocktail stood out as a personal favorite – a unique blend that we had never tasted before. Another surprise was the quail eggs, offering a new and exciting flavor experience that we hadn’t encountered before. This bar is definitely worth a visit, and we’re already planning to return on our next trip to Bali!

One of the most beautiful bars I have ever been to. It is hidden among the local commerce, with no obvious signs, but when we arrived at the place behind a brick wall with holes in it, we were greeted by a friendly bartender who invited us to come in. Beautiful architecture between minimalist and traditional with a beautiful large window overlooking rice fields. The service is first class, very good English, the signature drinks are special and make you want to try them all. They also have some very special snacks. Absolutely recommended, a hidden international gem in Ubud.
