This place is worth a visit. Very nice garden and good service. For the pretty low prices you get a more than average quality of food. Yes, its not a michelin star place, but high value for money. Paid 160k for a wholesome meal for two. Indonesian soup and salad were authentic and tasty, BBQ was well prepared, but felt a little "mass produced". Anyway, would go there again without hesitation.

They get five stars for everything, plus another star for the surprise factor! So many times we've walked by and saw the food cooking on the grill and didn't think much about it. We did not know that there was such a large eating area in the back and the food was so amazing and reasonably priced! The ambiance and music were very Zen, a very pleasant eating environment. The ribs were spectacular, and we will definitely go back again.

One of the best, authentic, and tasty restaurants in Ubud. Well priced, good portion, and great menu selection. Love the atmosphere, relaxing, intimate, and very much Balinese. Food can take a while to prepare when you dine during the peak hour.

For the environment it’s 100/10! The environment was so chill and peaceful !!! This restaurant was hidden at the back. We was attracted by the sate that they’re cooking at the front door and we got really amazed about the environment and the food For the food, everything taste really really good ! It’s 10/10for the food. You may come here for dinner if you’re out of option to eat in ubud bali!

This amazing garden restaurant is located in an unassuming street and as soon as you enter the main gate, there's a beautiful seating area. Well shaded and there's covered seating area too. The food tasted so fresh and delicious. Definitely one of the hidden gems on the streets of Bali.

It's like a hidden gem in Ubud. It looks small from the front, but wider on the inside. Menu varieties are not too much, but everything that I tried tasted good + affordable prices. The ribs were so tender, the sambal also tasted good. For the drinks I recommend you to order the one using coconut water as the base. The reason I only gave 4 stars is because the service that kind of slow, the food came one by one, and I ask for sambal twice but in the end they forgot to gave it to me. I think they need more employees.

One of our best finds in Ubud if you are fan of Balinese cuisine and on a budget. Very close to the Royal Palace, the menu is limited but everything we tried was yummy. Do have their Original Coconut drink with Mint among other things. Staff is very courteous. Note - they close by 8pm.

A bit hid from the main street. This place surrounded by traditional style Balinese house. Food was tasty and the price quite reasonable. Love the greenish ambience💚

So good. Don't know much about Indonesian food but this is definitely tastes so good. Everything we ordered was delicious, They have a little garden at the back which is a very nice atmosphere -(the front of the restaurant looks very small but it's not)

Amazing! We’ve stayed 6 days in Ubud and ate 6 times at this place. The food and staff are amazing. And it feels like a local restaurant. It’s a easy chose to make if you want some good local food for an amazing price and service.

The food was average so was the desert. I ordered a coconut 🥥 and it didn't taste good and was worm. Value for money is good. The atmosphere is romantic and zen. The service was good and the place is easy to find and at the same time its hidden from the street.

Super nice warung in Ubud. We ate here several times during our trip. Food was delicious and price was affordable. Their ribs and coconut juice was yummy. From the outside it isn’t impressive, but stepping inside, you’ll see a beautiful garden.

We enjoyed a delicious authentic Indonesian meal. I highly recommend coming here. We came here at 3pm and we had to wait 45 minutes for an available seat. Service was very friendly. We plan to come back tomorrow 😁 As a note: the tables need to be wiped better.

Don't be fooled by how it looks on the outside. Just go inside and enjoy the calm dining environment inside the garden. This place is very close to the flea market. Ordered pork ribs and nasi Goreng babi with honey mixed with arak. The food was delicious but I would request them to reduce the honey in the arak since it took the taste away. The food was priced very reasonable for such a nice place.

Never judge a book by its cover or a restaurant by its facade. Warung Makan Bu Rus is simply a hidden treasure behind its own kitchen. The garden is a wonderful spot to have an amazing dinner, a spot you’d never expect by seeing the front.

Initially skeptical when we got there and put our name on the wait list as it looked nothing like the pictures from the outside. Im glad we decided to wait it out (roughly 20mins speaking with other tourists = 5mins) just for the food as we were totally caught by surprise on the quaint and authentic atmosphere inside this restaurant. This home turned restaurant, gives off a super homely vibe which paired with some good & authentic indonesian dishes make it a perfect place for dinner. We tried their Nasi Goreng which was a solid 9/10. With inexpensive dishes and authentic feel to this restaurant, its a no brainer to add this to your must try restaurants in Ubud.

The food is nice. The environment is very relaxing. Got cat too. Even though the cat goes to other table. Very nice for people who just want to take time. Notes that the pig rib grill take some time to cook. So not people who is rush. But ideal for people who got time to kill and relax.

From the road the resto seemed like a small venue, but once we walked in, there's a very pleasant and cozy venue to dine in. The service was excellent and fast, maybe also because we went there on the late afternoon around 3pm. Everything we ordered were delicious, we end up ordering some takeaways. Prices are decent, and the portion sizes are sufficient. Pork satay is very good. The arak madu is also worth to try.

Here you can enjoy the Balinese cuisine without breaking the bank. Extremely affordable, tasty and well presented food at very good prices. The place is very cozy and offers different seating option and are a small oasis well shielded from the noisy road.

Tasty and fresh food. Warm welcome from the lady chefs at the entrance. The location is very nice, quiet and calm. You can enjoy a real Indonesian food next to the ubud centrum for a very low price. Please be sure to leave some tips for them because they deserve it 😊

We came here several times during our stay in Ubud. Each time we had a delicious meal!! The taste and quality of the food is really good. Chicken sate was my absolute favourite. Never had such a good sate. And loved the fresh juices as well. I loved the environment with all the plants and tropical vibe.

The wooden design inside is very good. The food we felt was okay, rice was nice but we didn't like noodles here.

Cheap and delicious local food. We especially liked the bihun goreng. Sambal can be a little more spicy (we like it spicy). There are also 3 lovely cats in the restaurant that would interact with you and "beg" for food. Would come here again when we're in Ubud again.

Definitely the best food in Ubud, no wonder that it was always full during the diner times. We ate there every day for 3 days and everything was so tasty ❤️ Their garden is like an oasis in the middle of Ubud traffic and crowds and the prices are cheap. We really recommend this place and can't wait to come back! 🤤

Fab tofu and Tempe curry, the Soto ayam was great too. Lovely food that has a home cooked quality. The garden is really pretty too. The food was so good that I’d still go if it was a hut in the mud, but in any case, it is so far from that - beautiful scenic gardens with tables outside. Great food, reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend

Food was delicious, we ate here multiple times on our trip. I follow recommendations from reviews.for the duck but actually found mine to be quite dry and not as flavoursome as other dishes. Highly recommend; Pork Ribs, Grilled Chicken, Chicken Sate, Sate Babi (Pork Skewers), Nasi Goreng, the juices (especially watermelon) and they do a killer mojito.

This restaurant was really close to where we were staying in Ubud so thought we'd give it a go and it was great. Food was tasty and at a very reasonable price. From the front you might be put off but once you get through into the hidden garden it's a lovely setting. Would definitely recommend for very reasonably priced Indonesian food.

Delicious and affordable local Balinese food! The place gets very crowded in the evenings, so expect to queue or try coming for lunch instead. You can write your name and leave your number for them to call you. The wait is totally worth it for the food and ambiance! Located inside a garden, it is a traditional Balinese style architecture. Despite the long wait, once I sat down, the food came out quickly. Highly recommend their special!

Excellent place for a quiet and relaxed dinner. The food is good and the atmosphere is awesome. I'm not sure if it was a mistake, but only when I got back to the hotel I noticed how cheap it was. I paid Rp 136K for a meal for 2 😳

Dine in the garden, I love their plant collection, food is delicious too, especially the satay 👍 affordable, friendly staff. You can park your car at Ubud Central Parking.

Our best find in Ubud. There is Balinese cuisine with very good price and cozy garden, authentic atmosphere. No extra taxes and services to pay. Just be careful when paying the bill, because casher is not very good in math 😄

  • 4/5 Tessa S. 1 year ago on Google
I've just had the pork ribs delicious. Beautiful garden setting. The reason for 4 stars versus 5 is that my french fries were luke warm. I asked for hot ones and they were immediately replaced. Will come back.

We had to wait a bit long but the food was really good and the place seemed anyway busy so it was understandable. The atmosphere was amazing too.

👍 Ordinary food in a spectacular location, in the middle of rice paddy. The crispy duck is really crispy, a bit too dry. The sate lilit is delicious. The gurami goreng bit bland / tasteless.
