I had high hopes for this place although it felt just average in the end. I got the nasi goreng and it was just something to fill you up. It wasn't anything special. There is also an option for chicken. The rice had a coconut favour to it which was nice. Okay sized portions although it can be bigger.

This restaurant has a very interesting menu. By default everything is vegan and you can pay more to add meat as an add-on. In an imperfect world restaurants add vegan surcharge to make food vegan although it costs them less to make food if they remove the meat. Pushpa Warung just demonstrated that all food can be made vegan and you pay for the meat only if you want it. Great idea. I sincerely hope majority of the restaurants change their menu this way. It is good for the environment, planet, animals and also for ourselves . Most people will give a try of ordering 100 percent vegan if the menu is going to be like this !

A great homemade food in the ubud. Very central location, delicious local food and very budget friendly. The owners were extremely polite and we loved our food specially the traditional soup SOTO was so yummy. The menu is limited but everything was fresh and tasty. Totally recommended

Food was really good, especially the glass noodles. We also got the jackfruit rendang and kung pauh tempe. The portions are generous and the food display is pretty. The prices are cheap. They put ice in our coconut bc we wanted it cold and they only had fresh (non refrained coconut), which we appreciated. The environment is on a pretty quiet street (at least in the evening), the yellow lights at night are cozy, and area is breeze with overhead fans. Bring bug spray as it is outdoors and open-air warung style. They take credit card payment and don’t charge % fee. Only recommendations are to have better bathrooms and to change the cushion on the seating bc it slides when you sit and doesn’t feel very comfortable.

We loved this little local gem! Found on one of our first nights in Ubud and we went back pretty much everyday for the next week. Staff super friendly and welcoming, all family run. The breakfast smoothie bowls are delicious and really good value for money! We tried lots of different dishes on the menu and everything was gorgeous. Our favorites were the guacamole (best guac ever!) and the delicious homemade gazpacho soup. We often ate here on an evening and enjoyed their 40K cocktails - strawberry mojito is the best, so fruity and fresh. The dad of the family also has a small tourist information desk next to the restaurant where we booked our transfer to the Gilli islands. He was really helpful and it was the best value transfer we could find, even better than booking online and included a free taxi to the pier from Ubud. Couldn’t recommend this place enough, support local family run places in Bali - it means the world to them 🙏

Very very nice and simply place to enjoy authentic Balinese cuisine in a simple yet passionate setting. They serve food cooked in coconut oil and focus on keeping things simple and fresh - which is so rare in today’s world. The prices are also very reasonable and the service prompt. We had the Nasi Goreng, Nasi Campur (veg), yellow chicken curry and the Gado Gado followed by Balinese rice cake with syrup. Each of these was perfect and made us experience home food after a few days of travelling.

Best warung since arriving in Bali! Nasi campur, gado gado and mixed satay were all delicious. Mains were served with red rice which was really tasty. The pumpkin cake wrapped in banana leaf was a pleasant surprise - not too sweet and served cold. Definitely a must have! The mango sticky rice was on special and also great.

First time I tried warung puspa and it was during COVID. The menu is quite amazing unless the availability, not the menu is ready. I ordered jack fruit rendang, curry, corn fritters, and one mango juice. It takes 45 minutes to made maybe because they served fresh food and fast food (as in their tagline). Mango came first and it taste weird, color looked like mango but there is no mango flavor, for me it tasted like you pour mango juice into unclean glass (still with light detergent). Corn fritters came after corn fritters and curry & jack fruit came together. I like the curry style, it was thick with fresh vegie. The jackfruit was super smooth with Ok taste. The rice portion is quite small, for some people maybe needs double portion of rice. I was spent 150k for all the foods&drink I ordered and from my perspective it was expensive consider the size of portion and the warung’s service.

Found this hidden gem by chance. Had to stop and take a look because of the amazing food smell coming from their kitchen. The lovely lady talked us through the menu options even though we weren’t eating at the time. We went back later that day for dinner and it was sublime!! A very unique Indonesian restaurant, serving authentic local dishes freshly made by the lady. Ordered pesto rice with Chicken (they also have the vegetarian option). Everything is freshly cooked and so nice.

Found this awesome little Warung via a blog online. They did not lie about it! Apparently, the owner has learnt all her cooking skills from her mother and you can taste it. We had some spring rolls, yellow Curry, jackfruit Rendang and some Satay (with very nice authentic coconut peanut sauce!). It was tasty and inexpensive and had super friendly staff! Place was quite full with tourists but that didn’t take away from the experience. You’ll pay around 200k for 3-4 meals accompanied with a drink. Puspa is my go to warung when bringing people to have some authentic Balinese food. I’ve had the jackfruit curry, mie goreng, and nasi goreng (veganised) and it tastes so homely and flavourful. Service staff are friendly! It takes some time (20mins) to cook everything as they do it freshly for you on the spot. It’s a small place, so note that it can get crowded at dinner time.
