Very basic room. Could do with a clean up and renovation. My stay here was ok. I guess it is very cheap so you get what you pay for. There is no water or fridge provided. Our bathroom had a really bad smell so we moved to another room but had the same issue so the plumbing needs some work. The location is very good, it's in the middle of everything and there are nice warungs along the alley leading to the hotel πŸ™Œ. Would recommend if you are just wanting somewhere cheap to rest your head at night while exploring Ubud.

Honestly amazing value for money. It's in the center of Ubud but down one of the non-busy roads so it's nice and quiet but a really easy walk to the busier areas for food and shopping. It's also only around 25 minutes walk from the monkey sanctuary so no need to bother with taxis. The room is very spacious and clean. The bathroom is essentially a wet room but that's fine since there's enough space between the toilet and shower that you don't have to worry about water going everywhere. AC works fine and there is also a fan under the AC to help blow the cool air around as well. Do note there's not many plug sockets though. 1 by the bed which is used by the bedside lamp - you'd have to unplug the lamp to get use of a bedside plug. 2 remaining plug sockets in the corner of the room. However, one of those plug sockets is used by the fan so really you only have one other plug socket access for charging anything else.

Really nice owner who provides pick up service from the airport. Large air con room with plug-in anti-mosquito unit. Hot water for shower and simple breakfast provided. Slight leak in toilet only real downer. Good location, just off Ubud main Street, easy access to lots of gluten-aware restaurants. Good value.

Appart from the dampness smell in the rooms, no natural light and the fact that I had a small misunderstanding with the owner (she didn t want to give us the room we agreed on anymore, but it worked out in the end), this is one of the best value for money places in ubud.

This is homestay Pros - 1. The place is at the centre of Ubud, all nearby places are easily accessible. 2. The owner couple is nice and caring. 3. The owner can help in renting a bike etc 4. Rooms are an economic and clean environment. Cons - 1) drinking water is not provided., you have to buy your own drinking water from nearby hypermarket. 2) initially we felt a little uncomfortable as a safety concern as this was our first homestay and this home is little inside from the main road where the car can't go. 3) no proper bike parking, you have to park in front of the gate. 4) no car parking at all.

Just off a side street, this is a great value in a quiet setting. Lots of food options nearby and right near the Palace in center of Ubud. Great Service by the owners.

Nice room, big, super cheap-8$ a nite for a suite type room!. 1.5 km from downtown Ubud. Owner was nice enough, she was there at 12:01 telling us times up, basically get out. Keep that in mind. Likely not flexible on check in/out times.

Immaculate rooms, with a desk which is good for workaholics like me. AC was very effective, there's a bug repellent device you can plug in but I just shut the doors and that way I keep another plug socket available. Friendly and accommodating staff (did have issues making contact with anyone to check out as we needed to store our luggage for a few hours) but aside from that one hiccup it has been a very good place to stay, quiet, personal and yet so close to everything. I had a day where the drain in the bathroom smelt a bit but in south east Asia that's pretty common so didn't bother me too much. I highly recommend this place, and for it's cost it's a really good deal.

An absolute gem. Clean, roomy, aerated, light and good service. The young man wont go of his way to make your stay even more better. Breakfast is basic but delicious. The location is in the heart of ubud, yet you wouldnt hear a noise. Complete silence and serinity.

The best place we've stayed in all of Bali. Great value. Cheap beer. Nice rooms. Nice staff. Cheap scooters, and reasonable price for all services. Would definitely come back.

Our stay in Pondok Mundeh was perfect. Everything exceeded our expectations for this place. We came with 3 other friends and stayed in 3 of the rooms. Out of all the 6 places we stayed in Bali this one to our surprise being the most budget friendly was actually our favorite. Many reviews mention needing more variety and size of breakfast need to be larger but I felt the breakfast was delicious and more than enough especially considering the price you are paying. Other reviews also mention the bathroom not being large enough which is surprising because I feel like we got more than what we paid for. This place is a gem and within walking distance to Ubud market and restaurants. The rooms are extremely large in comparison to the other places we have been. The rooms were cleaned with care every day. The bed was extremely comfortable and had amazing pillows. The service was above and beyond here. Surya helped us arrange our hike to Mt Bature and it was awesome. He also took us on tours around Bali for a few days and we are forever grateful for his kindness and patience. When we hiked Mt.Batur and got our shoes and clothing extremely dirty. Some of us even considered throwing out our shoes but when they did our laundry to our pleasant surprise it came back smelling amazing and the shoes came back looking brand new. We are in awe of the exceptional service we received here. Better than any 5 star hotel.Thank you so much Surya and Adi for your incredible hospitality. We cannot thank you enough for being such gracious hosts. We cannot wait to visit Ubud again and stay at this wonderful place. We love love love it.

😠 Run away from this hotel. On arrival I asked a cup of hot water to make myself some coffee (my water, my coffee) and the owners told me I had to pay to use their kettle.
