Had a terrible stay at tamasha. Really not sure how it has such good reviews in general, I feel they must be fake. Hostel was dirty, the common area is a big bed where staff sleep. Our room wasn’t ready till 2pm when we were told we’d be allowed to check in at 11am. Nothing on the top bunks to stop you falling off which is odd. Lastly, they ruined our clothes in the wash - they mixed up our separated bags so all whites came out green and grey, and must’ve washed it very high as lots of things shrunk. At least 15 items of expensive clothing were ruined which was really upsetting. Not only this, but the hostel denied having done anything and accused us of lying, despite the fact that we didn’t ask for any compensation just an apology. This became a heated argument when Elivia the owner brought 2 males for ‘backup’ into our private room and started filming us while my friend was getting changed. Following this intrusion of privacy we decided to check out early, after one night. However, when trying to leave the staff locked us into the hostel, trying to overcharge us for an extra nights stay and threatening to call the police. It was all a very stressful and scary situation, and I don’t recommend to anyone especially not girls.

Best Hostel in Udaipur to stay Affordable and very Enticing lake view from all the rooms and dorm also. I stayed here for three days and the hostel started feeling like home. The staff is amazingly sweet and supportive. They made me feel like family! The rooms, services, food as well as common areas are fabulous. I absolutely recommend it! Be it solo traveling or with family and friends, this is your place!

The best hostel in Udaipur. Amazing experience and adorable lovely host. Clean rooms with all the necessary amenities. Walkable distance to City Palace, Jagdish temple, Ghats and other special tourist attractions.Blindly go for it if you want comfortable happy stay!

Tamasha is one of the nicest hostels I've stayed at during my time in India. Elivia has done an amazing job of creating a space with good vibes and a welcoming atmosphere. Her and Vikas were amazing during my stay. The room was clean and comfortable, the view from the terrace is incredible, the location is very convenient and the food on offer was delicious. If I come back to Udaipur I won't hesitate to book again with these guys, and I highly recommend it to anybody going to the city!

I had an incredible experience at Hostel Tamasha in Udaipur! The rooms were comfortable and clean, and I loved the friendly atmosphere with fellow travelers. The highlight for me was the delicious Maggie and tea they served – it was the perfect comfort food. The staff was extremely hospitable and made my stay even more enjoyable. Staying at Tamasha Udaipur was a great experience. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the waiting area had a pleasant ambiance with a view of Lake Pichola and City Palace.There were multiple games to play with friends and the vibe was really relaxed. The rooftop kitchen offered decent meals and the service was good. They also had connections with rental bike services and provided helpful contacts. Overall, tamasha Udaipur is highly recommended for both solo Travellers and backpackers. It's a great place to spend time, take in the view, and make connections with other people. The staff were helpful, and the atmosphere was inviting. The kitchen could have been better, but they still provided great food and a good service.

The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the wonderful host, Elivia. She made me feel incredibly welcome and at home, going above and beyond to ensure my comfort. In fact, I started referring to Tamasha as my home during my stay. All in all, my stay at Tamasha Udaipur was a delightful experience. From the warmth of the host, the delectable food, and the stunning views, it's a place I'll fondly remember, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Udaipur.

Amazing hostel in the heart of Udaipur. The place is nice, clean, bright and comfortable. My room was perfect. The staff is very kind. The chef is a friend. The view from the top is stunning. You can eat, talk with other guests, relax and enjoy a breathtaking view of the city and the lake. The owner is an amazing person who will make you feel like at home. She is also very friendly, helpful and full of information about Udaipur. I loved my days here!

I had such a good stay at Tamasha. The staff are all super welcoming and accommodating. The view of Udaipur and the lake from the roof top terrace is insane! The food is great and with beers flowing and boardgames to get through its very hard to leave, I even extended my stay here.

I stayed here for 4 days , i even invited my friends just because I loved the vibe of this place. The hosts are very nice and Cooperative. You will never feel far from home if you're staying here, it's just like a home away from home. This place can be anyone's escape plan while witnessing amazing sunset.

Spent best time here with friends. It is one of the best hostels I have visited this year. Good staffs and spontaneous food service. The view is amazing. They have games which you can play at the garden terrace. Staff takes care of everyone and try to make it a memorable stay.

I had the most remarkable experience during my recent stay over here where I booked a bunk bed. The room I stayed in offered a mesmerizing panorama of the surrounding landscapes, allowing me to soak in the beauty of the area and start my day on a high note. The hostel also impressed me with their culinary offerings. The food served at their restaurant was delightful. The facilities were well-maintained and designed to ensure maximum comfort for guests. The bunk bed I booked provided a cozy space to rest and recharge after a long day of exploring.

This hostel is absolutely superb, the staff are friendly, helpful, full of local knowledge. Tasty food in cafe, with an amazing view at the rooftop. So peaceful and worthy. The dorms are cleaned and comfortable. Had an amazing time, its the perfect location, wish I could have stayed longer.

It's a amazing place with homely vibes and great hospitality. If you are a solo traveller or a bunch of college friends this place would be perfect for you. Rooms are clean, spacious and well maintained. Hosts (Elivia and her sister) were really friendly and helpful. Common room evenings were the best part of the experience where you can find all sorts of games and music. 💫
