Nice food acceptable price big dishes love it

After my LONG flight from Seattle, my wifes aunt took us to this restaurant for lunch. At first, i thought it was an Egyptian restaurant (because of the name, and all the Egyptian stuff), but it's only "Egyptian" by name. The atmosphere is relaxed, and there is a monitor that has a video introduction to wines on loop. The restaurant has a varied assortment of wines and beers from different locales, and the menus are both english/thai (which is good for those like me!). Unlike most restaurants, they offer both thai and European food as well....including steaks. I went with the seafood hot plate, and it was very good....containing a generous amount of seafood and vegetables, all in a flavorful sauce. We also had the fried beef and stir-fried vegetables...and everything was quite tasty. The service was adequate, albeit a bit slow (as with almost all restaurants in thailand), and the staff was pleasant and helpful. We went there during lunch hour, but i can easily see many people there during the Evening as well. I would definitely recommend this restaurant....especially for going with family/friends.

This place is good for having dinner with family and friends. The price is moderate. Nice wine and alcohol available. The Indian Rotie and green curry is special.

Great food, when and if you receive it. Waited 45 minutes for them to tell me that my order went to another table that did not order it. I saw my order go by me 15 minutes earlier, and it took them a quarter of an hour to tell me about their mistake. That is unforgivable. Previous visit, my order did not arrive until everyone was finished eating. Not sure I will ever go again.

Have been going here for over 13 years, since they were a small storefront cafe adjacent to an exterminator. They have grown, evolved, and expanded over the years into a very pleasant location for a quality meal. We're not talking "Bangkok fine-dining quality," but this is my family's go-to location for good food/service/drinks/price for many years. All of my reviews of establishments in Udon Thani are colored by the reality that we're not in a big cosmopolitan city--and we're not paying those prices. One will not find Michelin-starred restaurants in Issan. Diners who get bent out of shape because the dishes weren't served in the proper order, etc, should be aware that there's a good chance you'll be disappointed--and that goes for most every dining establishment in North East Thailand. We like the soups, fries, garlic bread and other appetizers. Pasta carbonara is a favorite with the kids. I like the California salad, sea bass, and my wife usually orders Thai dishes.

Faro has poss the widest menu choice in Udon. It's a mix of Thai & International. Has a wide range of international beers & Wine's to accompany the wine

Ordered fried Vietnamese spring rolls, green curry fried rice and German hock! Very well done! Third visit to this place and standard is consistent.

My favourite restaurant in Udon with a wide variety of food, steaks, pasta and Thai food of course. Had a lovely lamb shank with mashed potato's

Called numerous times as hospital near by, this occasion all male staff were lazy waited over five minutes for drinks only six people dining in the restaurant, eventually took food orders half of the meal arrived , my mother-in-law and nephew finished theirs I had to ask about ours after 15 minutes so ordere extra som tam it arrived 12 minutes later it was disgusting could not eat it. I won’t be calling if only male staff working shame letting the place down

Everything was fine except the lobster priced at 2800 baht was frozen and had no taste or texture. Will never ever buy lobster again

Unfortunately food was pretty normal. Very much like any bar food. I had the crocodile steak and the rest of them opted for beef and etc.

Some food are ok but some food are not. The service and the place are good.

We had a pizza and the pastry was a bit burn and dry and no much flavour. I found the place nice,the staff was pleasant and helpful. Good selection of beers. Overall I found it a bit pricy
