Owino market is the largest market in and around Kampala, Uganda that sales fresh food stuffs, clothing and many more other home use items. What I noticed about Owino market (also known as St Balikuddembe market) I that the place is too much congested! Limited parking for vehicles. But the place has cheap but good quality items especially food stuffs. Visit Owino market one day

If you are touring Kampala, it is one place you have to visit! It's full of life and vibrations of culture from locally sourced and manufactured items to fabrics and arts! Whatever you fancy, it's all there. It's also a great place for window shopping. The vendors are so friendly and wholesome! The products are of the best quality and the prices are pocket friendly.

What kind of travel is that if you aren’t visit a local market of Kampala of the capital of Uganda 🇺🇬. Actually I’ve visited two big markets one is Owino and the second is Nakasero . (Nakasero is mostly vegetables and fruits ) however Owino has all kind of goods (shoes , clothes , food and furniture ). The walking tour takes approximately 13-20 minutes. A distance between Owino and Nakasero about 10-15 minutes by walk

A variety of commodities and sellers to choose from. The prices of particularly the second hand clothing and bags are affordable. Most sellers offers both cash and quantity discounts on bulk purchase. The hustle and bustle of the place is noticeable on first glimpse!!

If you're looking for groceries, clothing, tools or equipment, look no further. Owino has got you. This market has a variety of almost anything you could think of. Did I mention the affordability rate? The prices are outstandingly low and affordable. A solid four star place for me. But though, hygienically, there's more effort needed. Besides that, the place is a must go to if you're in need of an affordable item.

The rent too expensive hence the price of commodities very high and the setting of the shops confusing sometimes. At least they would organized like children clothes different from men or women clothes so you don't waste time moving looking for what you need.

You can buy anything here 😂 😂... At a really affordable price. If you don't mind the noise, crowd and pickpockets, everything here is cheaper especially groceries. You need to know how to bargain since there's price discrimination. The traders can quickly judge and know how much they can get out of you and they'll charge you according to how much they believe you're worth. If you can, go with someone who knows the place well. The place is mostly known for second hand clothes, shoes, bags etc...

(Translated by Google) Market mostly built in wood, you can find all kinds of products. The most striking are the stalls with large piles of books or paper and those that sell salt, on large rocks or crystals. It is quite chaotic and a bit dirty, but it is worth visiting as it is like a trip to the past.

Comprised of strolls selling all kinds of local foods, spices, poutry, farm animal products and multiple venders of clothing. Owino Market stands the position of the most busy and biggest on ground market in Uganda. For anyone who is look for a multiple choice selection farm produce e.t.c ,this is a place to go to. Not forgetting that its suitably located in the heart of Uganda's capital city (kampala) But topping on that, remember that b'se ot has a wide range products ,it is conjested al most everyday throughout the year.

  • 5/5 Kabigumira Samuel a. 3 years ago on Google
Too congested and above all market leaders are self-centred, they tend to collect money truck drivers and allow them to park along the way hence causing traffic Jum. This is unfair due to fact that, the space where park, was originally meant for passing cars and the market itself had own parking yard but it was turned into emidaala by so-called leaders. In this regard, we feel that the market leadership and government have not done well

  • 3/5 Aguma J. 2 years ago on Google
I visit it to buy dry goods Viz millet, rice, peanut, beans, dry fish and such like. Fresh foods ,greens , fish, meet and tubers are also on offer. It is considered the cheapest open market in Kampala. I used to obtain my supplies of old magazines and periodicals such as Newsweek, the Economist, Thenew African , Africa Now and such like from the market. The market also has vibrant second hand goods, cooked foods, Ganda traditional crafts /products and manufactured goods sections. Almost all basic products can be obtained from the market. It has the disadvantage of being crowded on most days. It tends to be muddy on rainy days. Prices of some products tend vary with the location of the seller's stall

  • 3/5 Khaleil S. 2 years ago on Google

  • 2/5 Rizik J. 1 year ago on Google
It's too crowded and so dirty. On the other hand many foodstuffs are real cheap and very fresh most of the time .I would not recommend it because its really unsafe but if u are on adventure, go check it out.

Owino market Is not bad but there is no parking for customers. Though there are many goods such as fruits, vegetables, clothes and shoes at affordable prices

  • 4/5 George X. 1 year ago on Google
If you prefer low cost goods, then Owino market is the perfect place for you. There's a wide range of commodities to enhance your life with an average budget.

  • 4/5 Nammasi J. 1 year ago on Google
Good but congestion is high, fair prices but be aware of fodgery and be extremely careful there is alot of fake items. Above all use your phone 📱 carefully before it's snatched away from you by street thieves.

  • 4/5 Being s. 1 year ago on Google

The biggest market place in Uganda. You can practically get everything you need in life from this place. A market that covers more than a square mile is really big and busy. Go there it is worth the adventure, but be careful with your treasures.

  • 2/5 Kawuki D. 1 year ago on Google

Same old clutter and rowdy vendors jungle. Just the place to find the rare and the mystical cultural antiques and trendy hand me downs. Owino Market is a winners paradise where there is something for every one in the race of life.

  • 5/5 Shafil g. 1 year ago on Google
Place is just so busy, vendors everywhere but has very cheap prices, items are affordable

  • 3/5 Sarah N. 1 year ago on Google
Great place to purchase everything, from fresh fruits and foods to all those stylish dresses, shirts, trousers, Jackets but of course all second hand ( I mean the clothes not the food!!). And it gets crazy, be willing to be pulled to people's stalls and mind your purse. Enjoy shopping at Owino Market.

  • 3/5 Nyivuru R. 1 year ago on Google

Much cleaner than before and less congested. Looking forward to see more developments centered on the market. Would be great to have a facade like Wandegeya Market.

  • 2/5 Paul Kentigern K. 1 year ago on Google
95% Chinese apparel for New items, and mixed sources for 2nd hand clothes and items. Interestingly, the 2nd hand market provides you with the best chance of getting first class material, good workmanship and durable stuff. When bargaining, start half way the stated price 💵

  • 5/5 SSEMWOGERERE D. 1 year ago on Google
    Quality products at cheaper prices

  • 3/5 Owen 11 months ago on Google
It's an "outdoor" market. Packed so difficult to navigate and somewhat intimidating. On the plus side, there are many items there. Price varies depending on how savvy you are 😬

  • 3/5 Alinda I. 10 months ago on Google
One of the most busiest parts of the city, being vigilant and focused on your business. Prices are the best 👌, more so friendly as all kinds of people can find whichever they need to buy right from agricultural products to textiles,

Owino market is a place I can quickly run to get any thing I need for home, from vegetables, to cereals, clothes and much more. It's a central place to buy almost everything. The challenge is that the place is too congested.

Its the biggest local market down town, Kampala Uganda. Mostly sell off second hand clothes, shoes and sandles, bags, belts, all types of cereals and fresh food and vegetables. Its very busy and operating 7 days a week upto 7pm from 5am

  • 3/5 liam i. 5 months ago on Google

It's such a busy and populated market. Though it's worthy shopping from it ,it has all the vegetables, fruits, peas ,all Uganda's kunda foods are verily available

  • 4/5 RENZJAY S. 3 months ago on Google New
The place has good stuff on the most affordable prices you can get them for in Kampala and that's the point. Even though parking and the fact that the traffic conditions are poor which I think is not that concerning.
