Nommo gallery serves as the National art gallery of Uganda and operates closely with the Uganda National Cultural Centre (UNCC). It is located close to State House Nakasero along Victoria Avenue and one has to partly go through the Presidential Unit check points to access this art production and exhibition place.

why I generously gave it 4 stars: because the art is moderately priced, and also moderately artistic. Kind of art for everyman/woman. You won't find great art here, but lots of naive art, and all of it done with the heart.

It's in a good and safe location, around the state house, you will meet security check up. They are rotary and Rotaract clubs that meet there from Tuesday to Saturday especially evening hours from 6pm

We tried to access from 3 different locations (suggested by Google Maps), all closed by military, sending us around another corner. After the third we got bored and left the area.
