Very good and authentic food...we absolutely loved butter chicken and rice. The garlic naans and kheema naan were soft and wholesome too. Looking forward to trying more items.

Went back today. This time tried Paneer Chilly, Pav Bhaji. Both were fantastic. Paneer Chilly was nice, Paneer was nice and soft and dish was quite saucy. Pav Bhaji was bit different than the Mumbai style, it was very buttery (that makes it more tasty). Then ended with Daal Makhani and Aloo Paratha. Their taste seemed the same. The ambiance was more lit than last time, thanks for considering the feedback. -β€”β€” 06/09/22β€”β€”- Went for Dinner on a quite and lazy Tuesday Evening. We had ordered Vada Pav, Paneer Tikka Roll, Dal Makhani, Aloo Paratha and later Falooda. While waiting for the food we were served with Papad and 3 Chutneys - Tamarind, Mango and Green-Mayo. Liked the Mango one better, other 2 were ok. Vada Pav was good in taste, the green chutney was quite good, would have been better if the dry red chutney was also used. Vada's crust was bit too crunchy. Paneer Tikka Roll was nice. Dal Makhani was the tastiest of all and Aloo Paratha also good. Falooda was too sweet and the ice cream was quite frozen and felt more like ice. Overall we had a good experience, Bharat was very kind. Their Menu is also pocket friendly. This cozy restaurant is newly opened and was really interesting to see how they managed to maximize the seating in such a compact area, kudos to that. Also the interiors/cutlery/crockery were cool. Although little more lighting would be better. Would definitely comeback and would like to try and check how the Dal Makhani tastes when the restaurant is fully packedπŸ˜‰ β€”-04-04-2023β€”β€”β€” After like visiting 20-30 times, this has been my go to place for Indian Food Never disappointed… Food & Service always amazing… Moving the rating from 4 to 5

During my recent dining experience at Pakwaan Indian Food in Amsterdam, I had the pleasure of savoring some delectable Indian cuisine. While the food impressed me with its rich flavors and authenticity, the service provided by the staff left much to be desired. Here's a comprehensive review of my visit: Let's begin with the highlight of the restaurant: the food. Pakwaan serves a diverse range of Indian dishes that truly capture the essence of the cuisine. From aromatic biryanis to flavorful curries and delectable tandoori preparations, the menu offers a wide variety of options to cater to different tastes. The quality of ingredients was commendable, and the flavors were bold and authentic, making for a memorable culinary experience. However, the service provided by the staff was average at best. While they were generally polite, there was a lack of attentiveness and promptness. It took a while to get the attention of a waiter upon arrival, and even then, the service felt rushed and lacking in personal touch. Requests for additional condiments or water refills were often forgotten or took longer than expected to fulfill. There was room for improvement in terms of attentiveness and ensuring a seamless dining experience. The ambiance of Pakwaan Indian Food was pleasant but fell short of being exceptional. The decor was simple and lacked a distinctive Indian flair that would have enhanced the overall dining atmosphere. The seating arrangements were comfortable but slightly cramped, particularly during peak hours. While the noise level was generally manageable, it could get a bit loud during busy periods, affecting the overall dining experience. When it comes to pricing, Pakwaan Indian Food seemed reasonably priced considering the quality and flavors of the dishes. The portions were generous, offering good value for money. However, given the average service and ambiance, some patrons might expect a slightly more competitive pricing structure. In conclusion, Pakwaan Indian Food in Amsterdam offers a satisfying culinary journey with its flavorful and authentic Indian cuisine. While the food is undoubtedly the highlight, the service and ambiance could use some improvement to elevate the overall dining experience. With more attentive and personalized service, along with a touch of Indian ambiance, Pakwaan has the potential to become a truly exceptional Indian dining destination in Amsterdam. #DishtApproved

Greeted by a friendly owner and co-worker. We were provided a nice table in the corner. Food - Good variety. Aloo tikki was as crispy as possible. Crunch in every bite. Dahi Bhalla was fine. Chana Bhatura was the best dish. Not very greasy and sumptuous. The chana portion matched the bhaturas unlike other Indian restaurants. The Kebabs were fresh and could almost melt in your mouth. Overall, the food portions are good. Falooda and Mango lassi were out of stock. For next time ;-) Service - We were served by ever smiling lady who always has good recommendations. Would love to visit again during day/evening time to enjoy the snacks. Worth a visit!

Went for dinner without much expectations and it turned out to be good place to have indian food. Taste was very good compared to other indian restaurants and price with quanity is also very good. There is a street free parking for 2 hrs near by so coming by car wont be an issue. Only con was that there is only one lady surving and taking order which makes everything very slow. And you will have to wait for long to get your food. Aprt from that everything was good.

Just a quick try out on their second day for a "snack for two". We had the Vegetable and the Chicken Samosas, the Pani Puri and the Ghobi Pakoora. The food is non-greasy, not too heavy and soooooo, flavourful. We will return...

Amazing taste after so long. Good portion size for the money. Hope they don’t change it after a while. The hosts are very cheerful and the ambience is also nice. Pahadi chicken, Paneer tikka and Rasmalai are highly recommended. Free tap water was cherry on the cake 😊

Food is veryyy delicious and the staff is friendly. Already been there 3 times and always had a good experience. Their daal makhani is the best I've had in NL, would highly recommend. Not a lot of options in the main course menu (atleast for vegetarians) but whatever we've tried was really good.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this fantastic Indian restaurant, and I must say, it was an experience that delighted my taste buds! The Dal Makhani was an absolute standout - rich, creamy, and incredibly flavorful; it was simply delicious, leaving me craving for more. Pairing it with their Garlic Naan was a stroke of genius - the naan was amazing, perfectly cooked and served as the ideal companion to the Dal Makhani, enhancing every spoonful of its delectable taste. The Soya Masala Chaap was another highlight of the meal. It brought a burst of flavors that was simply outstanding. The spice level was just right, adding an extra kick to this already fantastic dish. The overall dining experience was exceptional, and these particular dishes stood out for their quality, taste, and the perfect balance of flavors. I highly recommend trying these specialties when you visit this Indian restaurant.

Food and people were very nice, good location , tasty chicken malais and very cream and rich dal. I liked the saffran in the lassi, very nice touch! But they need to invest on their extraction/ventilation systeme because you walk away from the restaurant all your clothes smell the tandoori spices.

The best Indian food in the Netherlands. I have been living in NL for 2 years but this is by far the best Indian food I have had here. Service by Konchok reminded me of the hospitality of Rajasthan. The food, the vibe and last but not least music is amazing. A must visit to get the authentic Indian taste.

We were looking for trying new options on a Monday evening and a friend recommended this place. We found the meal fulfilling most of our expectations. We had paapdi chaat, which was well balanced in taste. Followed by chicken curry which was tasteful outside the taste of just onion and tomato curry. Naan were super soft. What made it a 5 star was their Rasmalai it was fresh and tasty, something I really miss in Netherlands
