Fantastic experience! All dishes were wonderful, from the small bites, to the amuse and the a la carte items. We did not choose the set menu and we did not regret it! My favourite dish was the sweetbread, probably the best sweetbread I ever had. The winelist is extensive and the sommelier gave us really good advise on the South-Africsn wines. Highly recommended and we will definitely come back!

SAAM is a wonderful restaurant with wonderful staff. Even the south African touches in the bathrooms are amazing. The food was all absolutely outstanding, and the SAAM tea cocktail is something I'd highly recommend before heading on to their curated wine list. We enjoyed the 4-plate menu and each course was just amazing. The sour dough with the haring butter is to die for and the sweets that accompany the coffee too. Being on the water in the Dutch "country side" is always a treat as well. Absolutely absolutely recommend this to everyoneπŸ™Œ

Best fine dining experience we’ve had in the Netherlands. The food and wine pairing are perfectly balanced in terms of flavour, combinations and proportions. Fantastic service. Simple, elegant interior and warm ambiance. Loved it all.

I enjoyed my dining experience at the restaurant. The ambiance was inviting, and the service was excellent. The seabass, scallops, and ice cream were especially tasty. I highly recommend this restaurant for a delightful culinary experience.

We went for the Sunday Roast, the food was just amazing. I fell in love with the decor of the restaurant, so classy but funky. The Bloody Mary cocktail was the nicest I’ve probably ever had! Service was very good too, the lady who served us was so lovely and really made the experience all the better. Thank you! We will be back for sure, however, perhaps when the local road works are done as it was nearly impossible to get to the restaurant via public transport!

Wauw, next level experience! Great wine selection, knowlegdable crew. Food was heaven. The aubergine was amazing and the main course duck with the curry embrases the whole South African culture. Well done getting this in a menu.

Awesome place. Amazing food. Attentive service. But at that price I would have preferred consistent gaps between courses, seemed a bit random and we waited ages at times. Still recommend!

Excellent food quality, great and friendly staff, enjoyed my evening there, a bit pricy, for us was around 110 euro p.p for almost only food

Been to SAAM a few times and again food very good. My thoughts this time is that we were not given the option between the set menu or ala carte (or maybe I missed this). Personally I always prefer ala carte, but ok was still good. Sadly the SA white wine we ordered which was exceptional, was the last bottle. For this calibre restaurant I would expect to be informed upfront that this is the last bottle or take it off the menu until stock is replenished. Not a massive complaint but a note that I find annoying when ordering a wine and thoroughly enjoying it and looking forward to another bottler (there were 6 of us) then its disappointing to be told there is no more. At approx E180 pp its a special occassion restaurant.
