This is the spot of the 4th haarlemmergate made in Amsterdam. This specific gate was made in the early 17th century. Unfortunately, mid 19th century it became poorly maintained and a replacement gate was making it the 5th gate. A nice spot to relax and watch people go by.

As far as I understand, it is the western gate of Amsterdam and was also used as a train station for a while. I think it's a bit dull in terms of an architecturally fascinating city.

Love this place. Esp the water dance they do there all day. Kids enjoy this place a tons. Plus I'd say it's a nice place to take a pic with ur girl/boy friend if u're passing by. Just be careful not to accidentally walk in between especially if it too cold you don't wanna be wet on a cold day.
