Well this is a bit of a mystery that perhaps someone can answer. This is an attractive area and has a bit of a unique feel to it. It is quite an extensive area of water and has many different views and looks to it. You are not to far away from the Bulb Fields and of course an essential visit to Keukenhof when the flowers are at there most vivid. The water tower is an unusual structure and quite dominant in its place. Now here is the mystery. Standing near the tower you could see a really large vessel with a silver metallic sheen to it and in the shape of an Arc. As far as I can tell now it has gone? It looked as though it was based there when we visited. It looked at little on the large side to be towed out of the lake? But I know the Dutch are very good at this sort of thing and it would be interesting to know where it went to. With the sun on it, it looked quite impressive. Pictures to follow.

The water tower in Al-Samir..is considered one of the most important symbols of the city. You can climb to the top of the tower and enjoy the view of the city and the view of the lake. An impressive annual celebration is held from the day of its founding. I advise everyone to visit

Wir waren bei schönstem Sonnenschein da. Man kann wunderbar spazieren gehen. Der Turm ist etwas für Technikfreaks. Die Aussicht von oben bombastisch.

I have extreme fear of height so it was a little problematic to follow my partner and climb up to the top of this monument but we did it (well almost did it :) According to my partner the view was stunning. They gave everybody a binocular which enables you to see all the way to Den Haag, Utrecht.. etc. It worth a visit.
