This local curry shop is owned by a super sweet couple that are always so welcoming! They really treat you like family. Moreover, the food is really delicious. I’ve back so many times!

Among the finest meals I had in the area. I rarely return to the same restaurant twice when traveling, but I made an exception for the incredible food here. I admit I skipped the vegan menu, but my entire family left very happy and very full twice. The owners are so gracious, speak wonderful english to make up for my broken Japanese, and went out of their way to make sure everything was too notch.

I love this place !! Everything is TOP-NOTCH; the cozy atmosphere, the service, the staffs, and most importantly THE FOOD. The food has a very amazing unique taste and it's quiet healthy as well. It's super convenient as it's close to the Okubo station. Visiting regularly.😊

Very tasty Nepalese style 🍲. Generous portions, attentive staff, Vegan options, small, cozy, table and bar seating. Drinks available including teas, juices, beers, and other alcoholic. Located accross the main entrance of the Okubo station 🚉. Neighbourhood is heavily commercial. You can visit while shopping. Very much worth a visit.

Having eaten there three times now, I can say Jahpal is a special place. You can choose Nepal or Indian cuisine. The Indian choices are very good, especially the Naan bread sets. However, on your first visit, the Nepalese choices are encouraged. Jahpal is great for vegan diners, just explain your requirements to the staff. Highly recommended!

I absolutely loved this place. The owners are a husband and wife team that work so hard to bring you a healthy and delicious meal and accommodate everyone (even picky kiddos). They are so friendly and kind. Highly recommend!

Food is extremely delicious, the owner and staff are very friendly and hospitality. The atmosphere is absolutely peaceful. A highly recommended spot for the small group or couple.

This restaurant serves unique Nepali/indo and japanese fusion food. I loved the authentic taste of spices in the various Curries. All the foods I ordered were very delicious and the most interesting thing was that the vegetables they use were all from organic farming. They also serve brown rice and Nan. The food were very healthy and nutritious. The owner and the staffs were very humble and nice. If you come to visit Kyoto, you should definitely visit the restaurant located near Okubo station. Nearby there is a very famous 10yen Dama temple and museum. If you catch a taxi, it will take around 10mins and definitely WORTH it !!
