Most famous place of worship of ujjain on the banks of river kshipra. Ram Ghat is a bathing ghat on the banks of Kshipra River. The evening Kshipra aarti is one of the best attractions here. There is a wide range of temples located at the ghat, out of which the temple of Chitragupta is the most revered one. Watching the sunset from the Ram Mandir Ghat is one of the most enchanting scenes you'll experience.

I could have given it 5star. Because this is the best place in ujjain. You can feel the sprituality of ujjain on the bank of kshipra. A mosque is also located here which is the beauty of india. Temple and mosque together. Ancient maratha architecture of it's bank and red marbles are putting incredible beauty on Ramghat. But people are making it dirty day by day on the name of worship. The river water is extremely polluted. We all should understand this issue, and we must keep our rivers clean as we consider them mother.

As it holds so many values to our culture I was still shocked to see its situation in October 2023. May be due to Ganapati Visarjan or other it was very dirty and even I wanted to take a dive in Shipra Rivers holy water I couldnโ€™t because it was stinking and so many plastic begs and garbage floating in it. It was really sad to see a holy place in such situation. I hope it gets better soon ๐Ÿ”ฑ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

I' m from Ujjain and writing this review makes me feel bad. To be honest, the water present in the river is not drinkable and not for taking a bath as it is too dirty and polluted. Sometimes sewage water also gets into the river directly. I saw people drinking the water too which is full of moss. There were no proper toilets installed across all the ghat so people urinate wherever they wanted to do so. Also the ghats are not clean. Municipal and other authorities need to pay attention here. At night people come here and smoke ganja, hukka and other items.

Ram Ghat, Ujjainย is famous for its Kumbhmela. All the pilgrims visit Ram ghat when they visit Ujjain Mahakal temple. In recent times infrastructure of ghat areas in Ujjain is improved amd it has become hangout place to locals in evening. Evening Khipra aarti (6:00-7:00 PM) is main attraction. It is also best time to visit Ram Ghat. Ujjain is considered the Greenwich of India due to the fact that the first meridian of longitude passes through it. According to the Indian astronomers, the Tropic of Cancer passes through the picturesque city of Ujjain. The historical Ujjain is an ancient city of central India, in the Malwa region of Madhya Pradesh.

As we know ujjain city is situated on the bank of river shipra. The beauty of the ghat is maintain & it is quite clean. Most of the time this ghat is crowded because before the darshan of mahakaal most of the people take bath here but for women in this ghat there is very limited service is available like only a few changing room is available. Restroom is also very bad literally very bad in condition, very dirty & unhygienic so i think this is the main drawback of this ghat.

NIce place and evening Aarati is must to attend. You can go Harsiddhi temple from there and can attend the Aarati there too UJJAIN is known for various ghats along the holy river SHIPRA. Ram ghat is one of the famous ghats among them. Kumbh melas performed here are well known. Ram Ghat is oldest and holiest Ghat. Shipra Aarthi being conducted here every day around 1830 hours is very divine and attractive,. The sunset view here is awesome and unforgettable. There are various small temples including a temple for โ€œRAJA & CHITRA GUPTโ€. All are worth seeing. If one wishes they can participate in the aarti procedures. This place is very holy place as it is believed that Lord Ram has bathed here on completion of final rites of King Dashrath. One must not miss this in a visit to UJJAIN. Ram Ghat is known for: 1. Ram Ghat is oldest holiest bathing Ghat compare to other Ghats of Ujjain. 2. Shira Aarthi held here everyday evening which is most memorable moment of this place visit. 3. This Ghat is famous for its Sun set View. 4. Due to its prime location, Ram ghat witnesses a huge croud during Khumb mela including the Akharas, who arrives here to take holy dip during Khumb.

Shri Ram Ghat: A Sacred Pilgrimage Destination Nestled along the banks of the holy Shipra River in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, India, lies Shri Ram Ghat, a revered pilgrimage site and a hub of spiritual tranquility. Its name pays homage to Lord Rama, an embodiment of virtue and righteousness in Hindu mythology. A Glimpse into History Shri Ram Ghat holds immense historical significance, believed to have existed since the 8th century AD. It is one of the most ancient bathing ghats associated with the Kumbh Mela, a grand Hindu festival celebrated every 12 years. Devotees from across India gather at Shri Ram Ghat during the Kumbh Mela to take a holy dip in the sacred waters of the Shipra River, seeking spiritual enlightenment and liberation from sins. A Serene Atmosphere Stepping onto Shri Ram Ghat is like entering a realm of serenity. The gentle breeze carrying the fragrance of the river, the rhythmic lapping of water against the steps, and the soothing chants of devotees create an ambiance of peace and tranquility. The ghat's well-maintained steps lead down to the river, where devotees can perform holy rituals and immerse themselves in the sacred waters. A Cultural Tapestry Shri Ram Ghat is not just a religious site; it's a vibrant cultural hub. The ghat's vibrant surroundings are adorned with numerous temples and shrines, each dedicated to a different deity. Devotees can offer prayers, seek blessings, and participate in various religious ceremonies.

Shree Ram Ghat. Before visiting the Mahakal , you must take bath in this holy river Kshipra. Itโ€™s not at all crowded. View in the night from the bridge of this ghat is awesome. There are several temples located near this ghat. You can visit them as well if you have time.

This is a Ghat located on the banks of River Shipra. Here you can have a holy bath in the waters. there are steps on the side of the Ghat for easy access and to have a seat while bathing in the River. There is also a pay and use toilets and Bath Facility where Gents and Ladies can change from wet clothes. This is a holy place for the worshipers of Sanatan Dharma. There is an amount of cleanliness but more can be good for visitors.

It is a very sacred place, but I don't know why, gov fails to maintain or develop this place as tourist destination despite the fact that gov is well organised for Jyotirling.

It is one of the points to visit in Ujjain. I visited this place in the morning time. The place is calm and beautiful. I did find an issue with cleanliness and should be maintained as per the place's holiness. As per belief, Lord Ram has taken the bath in this place so that's why this place is known as Ram Ghat. People used to take baths here and then visit Harsiddhi Mata Temple and Mahakaleshwar.

Shree Ram Ghat is situated at bank of River Shipra. All poojas, hawans and rituals are done here. It has importance in Khumbh mela too. #PeacefulPlace #MahakaalUjjain

One of the place where Khumb mela is hosted every 12th year. Place is well built but not maintained properly. Ghats were slippery due to accumulation of Algae( เค•เคพเคˆ ). This should also be cleaned like Ghats in Haridwar.
