I lived in this guesthouse for 6 months, from December to July 2021/22while working as an English Teacher in Ulaanbaatar. I owe a lot to Bobby (the owner & the guesthouse). The hostel is clean, tidy, fair priced and has everything you need for your stays. The manager and owner (and everything in-between) Bobby, and all her staff, are incredibly kind and she was so helpful to me throughout my whole time in Mongolia, countless times going out her way to help me. Also met some great people here and proud to have called it home for a short time! Thank you Bobby and hope the future is bright! Luke

Highly recommend. In the beginning I leant towards staying at other hostels with more reviews however Bobby was always the one who answered my emails the fastest with the most well explained answers. She was flexible and informative throughout the emailing even though I eventually ended up just jumping in with a group I met over breakfast that was going that morning. She helped me plan an additional trip and when I asked if it was possible to switch a night to camping instead of sleeping in a ger, she supplied all the camping supplies; tent, sleeping pad, sleeping bag, etc for free. It took all of five minutes in person to sort out a week long trip. The trip was fantastic, absolutely incredible views, the driver Agi was a gem, and all the families we met along the way were so kind!! The location is great for vegetarians, next to a loving hut and a brand new Indian restaurant. Personal packing tips: -Deck of cards (available at any shop in every camp) -Bluetooth speaker -Hot sauce (pick up at the grocery store supply run Bobby sends you on before the trip) -Prunes (also at the city grocery store, highly recommend for any trip longer than 2 or 3 nights)

We came here 6 times over our 2 months in Mongolia and it was always perfect. Not the most luxurious hostel but it's great for a few nights while passing by Ulaanbaatar. There is a kitchen, small but well equipped. Everything is always perfectly clean. Bobby is amazing and always there to help with anything you might need, from organizing tours to simple advice. In the end it felt like home :)

Super nice place to stay and meet many different people. Bobby will always help you with anything from planing tours , to booking bus rides and giving you good recommendations. You have a small, but good equipped kitchen.

This is a no frills hostels, so not the best place if you want luxury accommodation and lazing around in Ulan Batar. But it's the best place you can be if you want to travel spontaneously in Mongolia. The hostel keeps updated information about all available tours leaving in the following days, and you can join then for very good prices. If you want to come up with your own tour, just say and they will post a note in the board for any other traveler to join. Bobby is the most helpful person you will ever meet and will make everything to ensure you will have a memorable trip in Mongolia.

This guesthouse is very well located and is very clean. Bobby is the best! She helped us get bus tickets in advance and with everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again when in Ulan Baatar.

I stayed for almost 4 consecutive months at UB Guesthouse. I absolutely loved this place and Bobby and her wonderful and hard working ladies felt like family. The hostel has everything you could wish for under Mongolian circumstances and given the fact that it is a very cheap location. The bathroom was always nice and clean, Bobby was available ALL the time for any special needs. Also, great tours can be arranged at a good price and tours can be tailor-cut to your needs. Thank you Bobby for making my stay in Mongolia a very special one ♥ I wish you all the best of health and success for the future!

Decent hostel, but doesn’t have anything special. The manager is not very approachable and the place it’s kind of grey.

Cheap hostel. Booby is very helpful in helping us plan our horse riding trip in terelj park. The bedsheets came very close to fitting.

Shower could be better and the bedcloths don't even come close to fitting, but other than that we had a good time and lot's of help and tips from the manager. The tour that we did was great as well!

Really loved this place. The owner is a very nice, conversational person and I enjoyed getting to know her. The place is perfectly quiet and well run. I would go back there in a heartbeat. Also it is well placed near the things that are important to do like the government square and the Museums.

Honestly I am not often giving any comments or ratings but this time it is a real pleasure for me. It is an old building, but the rooms and all others facilities are simple and very clean. Bobby and her team are just great in services they provide weithin the Guesthouse and even more on their recommended and organized tours. I took a 3 Day excursion to Trelell on my own and a 9 day trip into Gobi. Amazing locations, really lovely hosts and a experienced driver and last but not least or guide and cook Tuul. If someone wants to experience Mongolia this is a perfect spot to start from. Even if you arrive with no planning ahead you can trust that Bobby and her team will organize a real adventure for you!

😠 I would give 0 star if there was any. The worst customer service ever. Who hangs up the phone while talking? Tried calling them thousand times, but right after picking up the phone the guy kept hanging up on me. I guess my mistake was to check in which branch a client I am supposed to pick up is sta...

👍👍 I recently stayed here for four nights and I must say that it was a very clean place, with excellent security and a very helpful and friendly staff. The location is in downtown Ulaanbaatar, within a short walking distance to the main post office and the Chingiss Square monument. I would strongly rec...
