Nice ambient, the experience was great with a normal friendly staff. Price of items are moderate. The environment has a Dual-play setting: An exquisite restaurant on the inside and regular beer-parlour sitting arrangement on the outside.

For those on a long journey, i will advise to visit Hoeffers, The have what you need from food, snacks and drinks. The price range is moderate. Good staff with a friendly behavior.

Great bites and bakery

Quite a cool place (restaurant), I love their pastries are good! A bite will convince you.

Hoeffers restaurant is well known by travellers because they usually stop here for a recess. It is located along library avenue road. It has nice meal, but I don't usually enjoy there soup especially egwusi soap. It has a wheelchair accessible entrance, no wheelchair accessible parking. It has a fairly large parking space. It has a nice customers services. Place looked too plain. attractive enough especially inside I think their pastries are good though, that was what most people ordered so we did same.

A nice place for time out..

It would have been an interesting stop for travellers if the urinary and toilet (convenience) is at least neatly conditioned and maintained. It scares one with the thought of being infected.

Nice seat out spot with side attractions. They have very soft freshly baked bread of different types and a suya/shawarma spot. I really didn't enjoy their stewed rice the first time I tasted it but you can try their jollof. It's tasty.

Very neat, relaxing and comfortable place. Their waitresses didn't disturb. I love their sardine bread and normal loaf, soft and tasty. It was a good undisturbed outing today.

I wish the owners of this restaurant will read this. On 29/09/2023 at about 09:27 the God is Good Motors bus I traveled in made a stopover at this restaurant in Umuahia, for passengers to have their breakfast/refreshment before the onward journey to Abuja. I sought to buy snacks worth just N1,000 and offered to pay through the POS, my ATM card was inserted into the restaurant POS machine by a fair skin lady attendant who held the POS machine in her hand for an unusually long time while my card was still in the machine only for her to bring the card out and scream "declined" - at this time my bus driver was already signaling for us to get in the bus & continue our trip. I had no option than to give this apparently dubious lady N1,000 cash for the snacks only to get into the bus and receive a debit alert of N1,000 on the earlier so called "declined" transaction. This lady deliberately held the POS machine to timeout the transaction knowing I will still be debited and she still collected the N1,000 cash from me; since she knows I am on the move on a trip there is no way I'll be back to make an immediate complain. I ended up paying N2,000 for a N1,000 worth of snacks. I hereby post the Time Out POS printed receipt she gave me here. There is a rouge among the attendants here, so beware!

They have the biggest serving size of beef I've seen in Umuahia. Their meals are OK but what they're known for is their bread. It's bloody delicious.
