The best fish and chips I have ever had, definitely 5*. The whole experience is just brilliant, the modern design, the lovely welcoming staff, the perfect taste, I can just sing praises of this place. There are so many horrible fish and chips places in town (most...) but this one is a real gem! My partner loved it as well, the chef Harry was really friendly and told us about how their perfectly fresh batter is made. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who wants to try the best chippy in Brighton. Will definitely return ๐Ÿ™

Amazing experience. The staff were nice, the food was perfect. Fish and chips are so common in UK that you can hardly distinguish the great ones out of the good ones, and I can safely say that this restaurant has given me one of the best fish and chips experience. The aroma of the Haddock is luring you to have a bite, and once you have a bite, the crunchiness immediately bombard your mouth. Then comes the rush of flavour from the fish, with a hint of lemon and tartare sauce. It was the perfect combination. The staff there are very welcoming. They are enjoying being part of the restaurant. They are passionate about their food. The atmosphere altogether gave us a relaxing Sunday lunch.

Just amazing. Fish and chips here are extraordinary - not your run of the mill place. The chips are excellent. Not a classic chippy kind of place with soggy chips (although I do love those) these are just the right amount of crispness with a light fluffy inside. The fish is just as good. Crispy batter and full of flavour. The curry sauce is possibly one of the best Iโ€™ve ever had (and Iโ€™ve had quite a few!) Highly recommended.

Lovely place! A very very tiny menu, because what they do (fish and chips), they do extremely well. We had the fish supper for two and it was more than enough. The lager was excellent (they do other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages) and our whole visit was fabulous, and very very reasonably priced for the utter quality of food. Highly recommended.

The best Fish and Chips Iโ€™ve ever had in the UK! Loved it! The fish was so soft inside and crispy outside! The fish felt quite fresh๐Ÿ˜ loved it! I did not like the strawberry lemonade much but i will ignore that given that we mainly went there for the fish and chips and it was better than what i expected! Even the mashed peas were good! It was a lot of food too! Definitely recommend it!

Damn good fish and chips! Was a bit sceptical about this one as from the photos the chips didn't look like the ones you get from a classic "chippy". But even though it was a bit different everything was spot on and delicious. We went for the haddock fish supper and the haddock had a really lovely batter - crispy, tasty and didn't feel oily and the quality of the fish was superb. The chips were chunky, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, not sure what potato they used but it was delicious. The sides of mushy peas and tartar sauce were equally as delicious and probably the best mushy peas I've had! This was a takeaway order to eat on the beach so I can't comment too much on the atmosphere, but everyone looked really happy and the place had a nice relaxed vibe with excellent and friendly staff. The prices, even though slightly higher than other fish and chip shops in the area and taking into account higher costs for ingredients it is definitely value for money for top quality ingredients and great flavour. Can't wait to come back and try the scampi!

Genuinely the best fish and chips Iโ€™ve ever had. Iโ€™ve had good fish and chips before when I used to visit my grandparents in Norfolk growing up, but RYBKA was on a different level. Made even better when the owners showed us the kitchen, explained their elaborate 11 hour chip cooking process to achieve perfectly crispy chips, and highlighted that all the fish is fresh (unlike everywhere else in Brighton which uses frozen fish - you really notice the difference!). Added to all of this, the waiters are super friendly and the interior, atmosphere, and location are ideal. Fully recommend!

The best chips fish and chips in Brighton and potentially the UK, I don't even need to try elsewhere in Brighton because these were unreal. No greasy fish batter, crunchy crisp chips, great ratios. The curry sauce was amazing, even the mushy peas were exceptional. It might be slightly more expensive than your usual, but it's worth it. A big shout out to the staff who were funny, friendly and warm. I can't recall the girls name, but she honestly was great.

Simply A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! It all starts from a modern design, the spot is freshly refurbished. Then it continues with great service, you feel the connection with this place immediately, the owner chats with you, learns your story, mega friendly. And then your food comes, you order small, and this huge portion arrives. Itโ€™s not typical fish and chips, itโ€™s much much better as for me. You can really taste the fish here. Plus what I particularly liked is that the fish is responsibly sourced, many forget about the downsides of the fishing industry. Regarding prices, you definitely pay a bit more than in a regular fish&chips spot, but you pay for better food, that is not served in a plastic plate, for the great atmosphere and outstanding treatment. I recommend!

Absolutely delicious fish and chips. This was my first visit to Brighton and RYBKA was a recommended chippy and it did not disappoint. Probably the best chips I've had for a long time accompanied by delicious beverages. The staff were very friendly and accommodating as well. Definitely would love to come back here next time I visit Brighton!

The best dining experience! Gorgeous fresh fish, gorgeous chips and very generous portions. Nice beers too. Staff were welcoming, lovely and friendly. We arrived as a party of three yesterday (Friday) evening and got a table straight away. Nothing was too much trouble despite lots going on. Hard recommend!

Possibly the best fish & chips Iโ€™ve ever had! 100% lives up to the hype. Had the supper for two with double mushy peas, and we were both very satisfied. Everything was perfect. Tasted their homemade strawberry soda and freshly squeezed orange juice, both delicious! Got โ€œluckyโ€ with the rainy day, because we got to sit down as soon as we arrived, we even got to pick a table. I understand you normally are asked to join an online queue and notified when a table is about to free up for you. The service was a little slow to no fault of the waitress, just mentioning so you know to allocate reasonable time to enjoy the experience (about an hour from going in, to paying the bill). Quite happily paid for the carbon footprint offset for our meal. Itโ€™s a wonderful initiative that I wish more restaurants followed. Make sure you carry some cash to tip the server tho, they donโ€™t include service charge on their bill.

Was craving for a good fish & chips meal given the cold and wet weather on that day. After checking out a few potential places; decided to put all my bets at this place given the rave review. The food definitely did not dissappoint. The fish was fried perfectly, and fries too. Decided to also order the house curry sauce to try out. The place is hidden away from the main road, and you need to walk thru an alley to reach it. Google Map will definitely help.

The decor inside is very cool, but Iโ€™m taking points off for the bathroom. They were so so dirty. One of those bathrooms where you try not to touch anything. That being said the service was very nice and the food was ok/good. I found that my haddock was a bit dry and fatty.

Highly recommend! Got take away and had it at the beach. Batter was crispy and not greasy, fish was soft and juicy, chips were divine, crispy skin and fluffy on the inside. I had mushy peas as a side, it was also very delicious. Lemon was put into a small squeeze bag which makes it easier to squeeze. Due to seagull attack on the beach, I had to hide some of my chips. Even the chips gone cold, it was still very good, not greasy at all, the skin remains crispy.

Really really delicious food. We got the sharer platter for 2 with haddock, scampi, curry sauce, mushy peas, and tartare sauce. Everything was amazing and decent portions. We booked in advance and would recommend as it was busy and a few people were turned away.

Lovely little restaurant with a great atmosphere. The owner of the premises welcomed us at the door and looked after us to the end. The food was delicious. This is the most delicious fish I have had in Brighton. Respect for serving the Czech Budwaiser in beer mugs, not plastic cups. the menu also includes a herring served with vodka. Rybka is a must stop for gourmets of fried fish and excellent handmade fries๐Ÿ‘

I dont usually like fish and chips, but I do strive to find good ones in England. To date, right here in RYBKA, the meal was excellent and the best I have had in England. We ordered a sharing supper which was more than enough for 2 people. Amazingly tasty to go with as well. To top it off they have a lovely selection of draught beers which washes down the meal perfectly. The service by those working here is also amazing and they are very pleasant. I do not have to search for the best fish & chips in an area anymore and will definitely come back on my next visit to Brighton. Pro tip: if you want to dine, remember to place a booking as they are really busy. We were pretty luck to get a seat for 2 as we came in just as they opened.

Small menu, but great execution. You guys absolutely nailed fish & scampi. Great in house made chips and super generous portions which is rare nowadays. Will be back every time I'm in Brighton. Just a side note. Why don't you guys utilise the space at the back to get more tables in?

Some of the nicest fish and chips Iโ€™ve had in brighton!! Service was amazing and the portion sizes were unreal! I was really happy to discover that the fish tasted beautiful and fresh and the batter wasnโ€™t too oily and heavy like in many other places, it was light and crispy. I also really enjoyed the curry sauce, not what Iโ€™d normally go for but it was really delicious!! Highly recommend this hidden gem

One of the best seaside fish and chips Iโ€™ve eaten in a long Time! Perfectly cooked fish, no sign of any greasy soggy batter. Crispy fluffy chips. The home made curry sauce and tartar sauce was a nice touch too! Note itโ€™s only small inside so make sure you reserve a table just in case!
