Had a great visit here at the museum and visitor centre. Outside the building they have a large statue of Robert the Bruce. Inside, the visitor centre has a very interactive exhibits with knowledgeable guide staff. Especially like their digital demonstrations inside. There is also a gift store and a mini restaurant/cafe inside.

Free parking, good priced cakes n coffee, seating inside and out lovely art on display (see some from my photos). It's free to visit the battle ground and the sculpture areas describing the Battle of Bannockburn 1314. This IMO is one of the most important must visit places in Scotland to find out more about the endeavours of King Robert the Bruce (1306-1329) without whom Scotland may not now exist as a nation 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

A very modern visitor centre depicting an important piece of Scottish history. As few artefacts of the battle or Robert have been found a modern 3D digital demonstration of the battle is used. If you have the time you can follow this by a 'game' scenario as part of a team fighting the battle. Outside a short walk leads to haunting circular memorial and an imposing statue of Robert the Bruce overlooking the grounds. There are information boards alongside the path, unfortunately these are quite inaccessible for wheelchair users, being gravel filled mesh. There is a pleasant modern cafe inside the visitor centre.

A very informative and interesting visitor centre telling the story of the background to and to aftermath of one of the most important battles in Scottish history. The guide was incredibly knowledgeable with detailed information about sources and evidence, plus the impact of the battle. The battlefield is dominated by the memorial which, while a bit Brigadoon, is nonetheless powerful. Well worth a visit, and better than the Wallace monument as an adjunct to a day at the castle.

I did the tour and it was okay but nothing special. You're mostly watching videos and a guide is showing you the troops movements on a map. So if you're looking to get entertained go for it, especially if you're with kids. If you wanna get further information than it's not necessary to take the tour. Almost the same informations after displayed outside where you can go for free. I didn't book in advance as it's not possible for the same day. Walk ins are possible but you better book in advance.

Lovely place to visit, with a huge park. The centre itself has a guide that takes you through the history. A chance to dress up with helmets, swords and shields. Nice cafe and gift shop. Lots of informative boards in the park describing the battle. Huge statue of Robert the Bruce in the grounds, and a monument that they shut the day before we visited, sadly, as it was unsafe, which was a shame, but we'll be back to visit the next time we are in Scotland.

A wonderful insight into an important part of Scottish history. The installation within the monument is hauntingly beautiful and creates a special atmosphere. A great visitor centre with good parking facilities. All wheelchair accessible and easy for anyone with any mobility issues. Very helpful and informative staff.

We visited on the 26th May 2021. Signboards available to read with lots of information about the battle that took place here. Very interesting. The car park is free to park in. You can see the monument and statue for free without having to pay admission for the visitor centre. At the monument, there is some lovely Scottish music playing which is tranquil

I am giving a 5 star, probably due more to sentiment as I definitely vibed with this place of importance. The gift place is small and doesn't have alot of variety but we did have fun dressing up in the medieval equipment they provided. A moving place to go - be sure to google its history prior or whilst there if you don't know the significance of the sight.

Well laid out paths and Intractive boards outside. This area is free. The experience is very reasonably priced and well worth the money. Takes about 1 hour for the guided tour. Very high tech and modern but well done. Website says to buy tickets online up to 24hours in advance, but you can pay at the door which is not advertised.

Bannockburn is a fantastic place to visit, the site offers information panels showing the Scottish camp and points of interest related to the battle, such as the location of the first days fighting, the Roman Road, a clear view of Stirling Castle from the middle of the battlefield, a statue of King Bruce I (Robert the Bruce), a large cairn, memorial park, amazing views, and a visitor centre where you can further learn about the Battle of Bannockburn! Would highly recommend if you enjoy history and historical sites.

Immaculate building to share knowledge about the Battle of Bannockburn the guide was amazing and interesting. The battlesite was set in a glorious backdrop of scottish landscape. The multi media section of the tour was so informative . A lot of information to take in but well worth the visit.

We arrived as the centre was closing so we didn’t get in. Great free car park. Well maintained paths to the monuments. Lots of information boards cover the area and give a good insight into the battle, they stir the imagination, well thought out. It’s a popular place for dog walking and would be nice for a picnic with the children. Can’t wait to come back for a full day visit with a re-enactment.

Really disappointed with the visit. The main attraction being the battle room where you could choose how to fight the battle has been retired. It was replaced by a talk which was interesting but nowhere near as engaging. The cost of entry is still the same but now has much less to keep younger audiences interested. The staff are lovely and the grounds are well kept. The cafe is very expensive but you can bring a picnic.

Great stop over. You can book a tour online, which I recommend. You can walk the grounds for free. This is where the jacobites won against the English. It was led by Robert the Bruce, who was then made King.

Lovely well maintained grounds. They also allow you to use their costumes to dress up in.

Very educational, gives you an insight of the great battle! Lasts an hour and you're free to walk the outdoor grounds thereafter. Awesome views.

Fab place to visit!! Will take 1-2 hours. You only need to pay for the guided tour, which I would recommend. Staff are friendly and enthusiastic. Very family friendly (even teenagers) Of you get the chance, go see it.

Awesome battlefield site. We did not have the time to stay for the tour, but were pleasantly surprised to find that access to the battlefield and monuments was free. Great site that’s easy to walk and see! Super friendly staff!

A BRILLIANT experience! I thoroughly recommend booking on a tour through the Visitor Centre if you can. Our guide was funny, informative & interesting. The displays within the visitors centre are really good & we also enjoyed exploring outside & finding out more about the Battle of Bannockburn, Robert the Bruce & King Edward II.

Arrived on spec to visit at 11:00 but would have had to wait until after 13:00 to take the guided tour and exhibition so would recommend booking in advance if you want the full experience. The public displays are limited but interesting and the battlefield statues and sculptures are interesting. The cafe has a wide selection of food and drink at the expected tourist prices.

A great experience of the Bannockburn Battle. Staff are very knowledgeable. Great access and suitable for wheelchair users - no steps and plenty of space to move around. Also access outside is easy - ramp up to monument. Experience lasts about an hour with time to explore and ask questions. Quite dark and loud with large screens and scenes of the battlefield - could be a little much for the under 5's. Cafe with plenty of space and a few benches outside. Great place and fabulous gift shop!

A brilliant area to have a lovely walk with stunning scenery around the area. Fabulous statues from Scottish history & amazing information boards everywhere to learn more about the battle of Bannockburn & how Robert The Bruce & his men defeated the English. For me, I felt a sense of calm walking around the area & was absorbed in all the facts about this battle. There is a lovely wee gift shop selling the usual Scottish gifts & some items are reasonably priced. There is a restaurant/cafe on site but I found this to be quite expensive. £3.00 for a can of coke is extremely expensive. There are no fees to walk around the area. The car park isn't very big for the size of the site. If you're interested in Scottish history, then this site is a must.

N some spectacular views of stirling castle! 😉👍

Lovely place with a lot of history. They've placed plaques with details about the fight and they even have a timeliness done from the birth of Robert Bruce till the day the last Monument was unveiled. It's just on the outskirts of stirling so worth having a walk around it.

Great visit with conducted tour by enthusiastic and entertaining historian. Modern surround videos very interesting and informative. Walk outside to the monument is bleak and exposed in bad weather but it hightens your understanding of the place. The visitor centre is free to National Trust for Scotland members also other affiliated trusts including English NT so do not forget your membership card. Non members fee applies for visitor centre. Plenty of car parking available. Nice cafe and toilets.
