Excellent service from John and Beth! On Saturday, I had a work event in Manchester and I had left parts of my kilt at home in London. I went into Slater only a couple of hours before the event and Beth and John were incredibly helpful, allowing me to borrow the bits I needed for the event, without making me have to pay to hire a whole new outfit. Really appreciated your help, and my first experience with Slater was top class thanks to you both.

Called in for a suit for a wedding. Steve came over and was really friendly. Looked me up and down and virtually knew what size I would be and offered a few different suites. All in all it cost £180 for a 3 piece suit, tie and brown belt. The only downside (this is a joke) Steve admitted he was a Manchester City fan. Always have and always will recommend Slaters 👌 👍

Visited looking for a suit for a function, and what can I say about this place other than it is wall to wall suits. Unfortunately I wasn't able to find anything I liked in the size I needed/wanted, but there is a great range available and also tailoring to ensure that the perfect fit is achieved (as I needed that night that wasn't an option). The range is good, with a great mix from the cheaper up to more expensive suits, catering for most wallets. There are also other clothes available although as I was looking purely for a suit I didn't really see what was on offer. Staff were attentive and helpful if needed though.

We visited this wonderful shop earlier today. We needed suits etc for my son and husband - We were served by the extremely knowledgeable Paul and Jane. Their expertise was second to none and they made the whole shopping trip a very easy. We came away suited and booted and very happy with our purchases. Thank you.

Went in to find a suit for me and my best man, could not have had better service from Gemma and Alan. They couldn’t have not enough for me, tracking down the only suits left in the country in our sizes and always making themselves available for arranging visits in store. Made the whole experience stress free, and despite not getting married until March 2023 have acted so promptly to get this part of our day sorted and easy. Couldn’t recommend them any more, thank you!

I visited the store yesterday to buy a dinner suit on the recommendation of a friend. I've been shopping in Manchester for years and didn't know Slater's existed. I was looked after by Sid (who I have to say was brilliant) and me being someone who hates shopping with a passion, I have to say the experience was really good. Everyone in the store gave the impression they were pleased to see you, unlike so many retail outlets these days. Definitely give Slater's 5 stars and absolutely recommend. As an aside they will adjust your suit for free. Well done Slater's!

Great experience for buying wedding suits (3). Patience while the trying-on took place. Correct size suits ordered in within short timescales. Minor alterations carried out on premises. Polite and helpful staff. Spacious within the shop. Clean toilets. Highly recommended.

I came with my friend to get a suit for my brothers wedding! The staff were amazing! Noah did all the measurements and listened to whar colours we were looking for he even said he would get the suit fitted and back to us before the wedding next week! When Noah got my friend a beautiful suit which fit perfect, he next took us over to Patsy who also did amazing job getting the perfect coloured tie to go with his grey suit. Over all if I ever had to bring my friend suit shopping again I would come here! Everyone was so helpful, chatty and made the whole experience relaxing. Thanks guys you did amazing!

Today I went into Slaters Manchester with my husband looking for outfits for a nephews baptism next week. We were greeted by Steve, who took us through everything - selecting some beautiful suits, got everything measured up for alterations and took all the stress out of it. One of my best shopping experiences to date. Such a huge range, I'll definitely be back!

I came in because I needed measurements for a Merchant Navy uniform. I offered a tip for their time as I wasn't buying anything but the refused the money and were happy to help. Great store. Good value quality clothing and first rate service. I visited the store recently needing fast alterations to a dinner suit I purchased a while ago. The staff were so helpful and were able to arrange the alterations in good time. Slaters offer online shopping but the in store personal service really gives them the edge. Thanks again.

Fantastic experience here today. I needed a new suit in a hurry after I realised I had no chance of fitting into my old one. I had a fitting with Dave who eyeballed me into a fantastic looking suit in no time at all. Very professional and friendly and got me a really good price. Will definitely be back in the future.

We visited Slaters for tuxedo hire for my stepson's wedding. We received amazing and attentive service from the staff and they recommended 2nd fittings (for my 9 year old) which was a good shout as he had grown several inches! Nothing was too much trouble for the staff with every aspect of the hire and fab customer service from Steve Jordan and Keith Pryer. Brilliant value and would highly recommend!!

I love men’s suits and being a women it can be difficult to get them to fit nicely especially when you’re curvy. Tried lots of suits in different types of shops was not having any luck. Someone recommended slaters & I can’t fault whatsoever. The manger there helped me get sized up & had a suite bought within an hour. Very helpful & made my experience wonderful. 100 percent recommended women to go into slaters

Proper quality Customer Service as it used to be. If you can't find a suit in here then it's likely it doesn't exist, so they will tailor one for you. Rows and rows and every size, shape, form, and style and the guys and gals happen to really care what you look like in it. You are most definitely not just going to be another sale. I’ve just been to Slater’s to buy a dinner suit for my son, what a fantastic experience! One hour and he’s completely kitted out for a very reasonable price! I will definitely return as the service, choice and price far outweighs the likes of M&S who would be my normal “go to”. The fact that they alter suits free of charge is amazing! Ethan M served us with a little assistance from a young man in an amazing green velvet suit! Ethan was extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. From stepping into the store to leaving all of the staff we encountered were extremely friendly and helpful. Would absolutely recommend Slater Menswear, a very pleasurable experience thank you!

I am very disappointed with the wedding suit we got from slater. When the groom and groomsmen had picked the suit they wanted, all of them was told that alterations would be done to them and we would get a phone call to tell us to come for another fitting, we had our pageboy with us and was told he couldnt get measured for his suit until a few weeks before the wedding as they wanted to get the right measurements. When we got the phone call to come for the fitting as all suit was ready my father suit has not had any alterations done to it and was a different suit to the one his tried one which he was really disappointed with. We was told that all alterations to my father's and pageboy suits would be done in 5 working days, when they got their suit they wasnt allowed to try the suit on and when we got it home the suit was horrible didnt fit them both the pants was too big for both and the pageboy jacket was too small. I definitely wont be using slater again.

Been meaning to do this review for two months now, My son is getting married this Saturday, and we bought all our son's suites for the wedding from slaters but my son's could not all come on the same day, so we had to make three trips. The first two time's your staff was so helpful and kind I thought you could not do any better, but on our third trip the shop was very busy and all the staff was busy, but as I stood there with my six foot son by my side and two grand children a gentleman came to our rescue, he asked if could help and he put me at ease straight away he had to order the suit for son because they didn't have it in store, This gentleman was so nice , he made us laugh so I asked for his card so Alan Meredith a BIG THANK YOU for all your help and all staff 😊

Wonderful service from Alan and his team. I initially assumed the quality of service would be poor given the competitive prices however it was opposite. Suites that I bought look really good and fit perfectly.

Visited today and what a fabulous shopping experience. The staff were always available to offer advise on the different departments. On the shirt department we were assisted by a lovely young lady, and it was her first day today. She helped us with a shirt colour to match the suit and helped us move from the norm with the tie choose and hanky for the top pocket. It’s one of the best shopping experiences we have had in years - thank you so much for your wonderful service. Last but more importantly the prices didn’t break our budget!! 👏🏻😊

The 1-2-1 service was great the guy knew all our names which i find it hard to say my kids names . The services where great he measured all our suits and fit correctly . The whole service amazing my only concern was the suit felt like they where just all over no real organisation to them

Always thought of Slater's as been a bit down market. Following this (my first) I have changed mind. I was only buying a shirt to match a suit I'd bought elsewhere, the service I received (from Gemma) was outstanding on par with what you might receive at an upmarket gets outfitters. Will definitely visit Slater's again.

Three of us went in for wedding suits. We were seen by two different people at two different point in the day (as we had left and come back). They asked us loads of question, measured us up, took a real interest. The service was exceptional! The suits themselves are food quality and have a good size range. We didn't look at the hire range as we were buying. We are going back in a few months for alterations and accessories and I can't wait.

Exceptional service, phoned them for a Dinner Suit, Steve Bradley went over and above to locate a long length for us, two days later it was in store, perfect fit, and in less than a week, the trousers will be shortened free of charge. No pressure selling, great quality at competitive price, so good we bought another suit whilst we were there as a great atmosphere in store and absolutely loads to choose from. I’m a woman and needed a suit for a wedding I’m attending in a few months. I knew Slater menswear did high quality suits at affordable prices but was worried that I wouldn’t be able to get it tailored properly for my body as it’s only advertised for men. The Department Manager John Singleton helped me with my suit and was an absolute dream. He was so lovely and put me at ease. He was professional and talked me through each step of how the suit would be tailored. He assured me that he’s tailored suits for many women and made it a very comfortable experience. He gave me tips on how to find a suit to fit me and the way he pinned the suit to fit my body was excellent, showing he really knew what he was talking about. I will definitely be telling everyone I know about this and will definitely be coming back to this store in particular in the future.

Came here few days ago for a new suit for an upcoming wedding, although the choices there are many to choose from the staff couldn’t help find a similar colour we all wanted. Helpful enough to check if another store had them in colour and size which they did. Only issue I would say would be the staff seem a bit too eager to help you rather then let you browse yourself first to get an idea of what you want. Overall a positive experience but would say that staff give you a chance to browse the wide range of selection first before they start with nagging.

Had the highest standard of customer service ever. Went suit shopping with my partner and brother. Sean looked after us very well, got everything sorted head to toe with all the accessories in probably less than an hour. Sean was very professional and thorough. It was the most enjoyable experience, we cannot thank Sean and the staff there enough, they really do love their job its obvious nothing was a problem, smooth and easy. I highly recommend and will definitely come back again.

Bought my first suit for a Christmas party here in 2001 from the old Lever Street store. Went to get my sons first suit today for his school prom. Been in and out over the last 20 odd years everytime I've needed a suit/blazer/pants/shirt/shoes. Every member of staff over the years right up until today are friendly and helpful. Can not fault the place.

We had a bit of a wait because they were busy. The gentleman who helped my son is very professional who gave advice and fitted up my son and husband for suits. He even walked us to the tills and waited in line with us until we paid. Absolutely love the service in this store and would highly recommend it. We gave been going there for nearly 10 years for my son and husband's suits

popped in for something I had bought previously from this brilliant store but in a different colour which unfortunately they did not have so indeed up getting something else instead . fantastic range of apparel and accessories everything you need for the man about town . smart wear , casual wear , wedding outfits , holiday clothes etc reasonable prices for quality gear. assistants are friendly helpful and knowledgeable if you 're not quite sure they can expertly recommend the right tie , belt, shoes to make sure whatever occasion you need to stand out you certainly will !

While I was browsing the sale section for an appropriate suit for an upcoming event, I overheard one of your employees questioning my interest in the discounted items. This experience was both surprising and disconcerting, as I believe the purpose of a sale is to encourage customers to explore and purchase these products. Furthermore, the atmosphere created by the staff on that particular day was less than welcoming. The lack of friendliness and the pervasive air of discontent among the employees were palpable, contributing to a rather uncomfortable shopping experience. I also felt an unnerving sense of being constantly watched as I examined various suits, which detracted from the otherwise high standards of customer service I have come to expect at Slater Menswear. I must acknowledge, however, that I was later approached by an attentive staff member who provided excellent service and assisted me in making my selection. While I was grateful for his help, I would have preferred a more relaxed approach, offering assistance when needed rather than constant surveillance. Cannot rate this store high enough!! Just bought another suit, tailored to perfection. Great selection of formal and informal clothing and footwear to suit every occasion.
