👍👍 I've had both breakfast and lunch here .. if you get lunch, it's faster to call it in, they do get busy. The double cheeseburger was ok..sort of bland, but made to order with fresh veggies on the burger. The steak breakfast burrito is very very good..both reasonably priced!! People often mention good, order, sandwiches, chicken,

Had an amazing experience at a local corner favorite "The Lunch Box" They were kind and friendly come they offered to heat our sandwiches and not sure we had everything we needed. Very friendly staff and was delighted to have eaten there. They have homemade sandwiches, varying from an Italian club, to ham and cheese to a special that has turkey, ham, cheese and bacon! They also make homemade potato salad. If you were in the West bottoms in Kansas City Missouri and need a place to a place to stop for a quick beverage or bite this is a perfect stop -JMS

We made an online order, was never confirmed so I went to the store. They said their machine was down, so I had to wait 15 min for my food. A couple years ago I came here and got a really good chicken sandwich. Not sure what has happened because both the sandwiches I ordered this time were horrible. The chicken club I assume is supposed to come on texas toast but I got bread that was thrown on the grill for a sec but nowhere near toasted and was soggy. No bacon. And I asked for the ranch on the side which I did not get. My husband said the meat on his Philly tasted funny. And the onion rings were not even edible. I couldn't tell if they were really old or not cooked or what but they were gross! SO basically $30 in the trash. Won't do that again!

I got the turkey melt with mushrooms and a drink. The turkey was thick pieces &was absolutely delicious! Not to mention portions are huge! I was able to split my sandwich and mushrooms with a coworker! All for 13$. This place is going to be a reoccurring lunch spot. Also, the women behind the counter are so kind. Thank you for such a yummy lunch!

Don’t judge a book by its cover! This place has amazing, fresh food that’s made-to-order and is worth the wait. Tastes like a hearty home-cooked meal. Breakfast burritos and hot dogs are my go-to but it’s all good. The staff is extremely kind and hard-working and provide exceptional customer service. They do sell liquor and convenience store items but the food is where it’s at. It’s also just a couple minutes from downtown KCMO and KCK so if you’re in the area, just passing through or live downtown, do not skip on The Lunch Box. A lot of people that know about this hidden gem make it a point to stop here when down in the West Bottoms area for work or driving truck through KC. Believe me, it’s awesome.

It looked more like a convenient store. I bought little packets of meds for a sinus headache. Also a good wine was purchased, my daughter said it was a good price and quality brand.

If you know then you know! This place is a hidden gem with awesome staff and fast phenomenal food. This place has been serving hard-working men and women for a long.

Don’t try to put in a mobile order, just go in! The people there are so nice and friendly and the food is inexpensive and incredible. Got a two sandwiches, tots, and fried mushrooms and every item is fresh and sooo good!

We love this place. Great food. Miss being able to sit and eat there. BUT never disappoints for a quick bite. Looks are so deceiving on this one.

For the price this is place is a gem. Food was delicious, large portions. They have other snacks and drinks available along with some household items. The cashier is a nice quiet guy.

We had the cuban sandwiches and they were great! Fries were real potatoes cut and deep fried and seasoned. Onion rings were really good also. Will return.

Great food and service! I had the grilled chicken salad, which was perfect. The portions were great for the cost, and the chicken was juicy and had a slight spiciness that worked very well with the richness of the ranch dressing. Even the presentation of the food in the to-go container was nice.

Great food. We actually went twice in one day. Super convenient in the West Bottoms. Food comes out quick. Miss having a table to eat there since we ride but the additional convenience items make sense.

The cuban sandwich is amazing — wow. Wish this place still had tables inside for dining in.

A place to go for greasy, comfort Food. It was good and low priced. Unfortunately the wait time was unacceptable. It took twenty minutes to get our order and only two orders were in front of us (one being a quick to go). The beer is only big labels and 40s. I'm willing to give it another try based on recommendation of others.

Ordered two orders of chicken strips w fries and two sodas. Were given tater tots that were pretty hard but the chicken pieces were like hard cardboard. Not sure if there are new owners but this place has really gone downhill big-time!

The food is great , customer service is great, they do take call ahead orders , but all their stuff is made to order. They also have some cold deli sandwiches if you're in a hurry and need something quick , but even their hot food doesn't take that long . If you want a place to eat in , this isn't it. But believe me, the food is awesome, just get it and go and sit somewhere else.
