So glad we stopped in here after seeing there wasn’t a wait. Best service we had while in NOLA, staff loved the <1yr old and kept talking to him/interacting etc. got fresh coffee, checked on by multiple people and delicious food. We will absolutely be back the next time we visit! Highly recommend it for a breakfast stop, Ruby Slipper, Daisy Dukes, etc. all had crazy waits and Daisy Dukes a lot longer than usual to serve food this past time.

I absolutely enjoyed coming here every morning during my visit! The breakfast was on point and very filling! The staff were very helpful in navigating the menu and suggesting items to try. I will definitely be returning !

This is my favorite Canal street eatery. They are open late. They have a great ambiance. We were greeted immediately when we entered by the most charming southern lady and seated immediately. Service was very prompt and accommodating. We had Sazaracs and French 75s as cocktails. They were very good. The food was even better. I asked for blackened catfish which was not on the menu. Although they did offer another blackened fish and catfish. They happily made it. The serving was huge. The biscuit was delicious although more bready the traditional buttermilk. It was great with dinner not sure how it would be as biscuits and gravy. I got a huge pile of hot seasoned fries that I could not finish although they were delicious. The catfish was amazing. The best I have had in a while. I also got the red beans and rice. They were very good and a large portion for a side. Not super spicy but you can add the tableside crystals. Dear wife had shrimp creole. She loved it. The shrimp looked a little over cooked for my liking but she said they had nice texture. This place was a winner! We will be back. They also serve breakfast.

Came Tuesday morning and there was no wait. Had the alligator sausage omelette with a side of grits and toast ($12.99 I believe). A lot of food and it was really good! Our server was super kind and recommended it to us. Portions were big and great value for the price. Coffee was good too and servers came by and refilled your cups which was nice :) Overall super yummy and a great place for breakfast!

The food was all so good. We came back a second time because it was such a great experience. This place runs like a well oiled machine. The service is out of this world. Fast, friendly servers who are absolutely amazing at their job.

From when I got there, Liz treated me like she knew me for years. The food suggestions were phenomenal. I live their fried green tomatoes and could not get enough of the blacken pork chop. We also had the blacken gator and crawfish hushpuppies. Everything was to die for. I will be back .

I have tried everything on the menu, and it is all amazing. The staff is wonderful, and they treat you like family from your first visit. I'm coming back to town just to eat here, and see my new friends.

My boyfriend and I were in NOLA for our first time. Over our five day trip, this was our favorite restaurant. We tried it for the first time our second night and returned for our last meal before heading home. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. They remembered us when we returned which was really sweet considering how many patrons they must see. We especially enjoyed the gumbo and jambalaya! Both were super well seasoned and the jambalaya was neither too dry or too mushy, an issue we had at other places. If you are canal street and looking for some wonderful food, service, and atmosphere, I can’t recommend Zesty Creole enough!!!
