Amazing to see and free of charge. I used to live around the corner from this place and I would try to got through here whenever I had the chance. It's such a wonderfully architected (is that a word) building. In the summer you can see kids playing in the fountain outside. You don't need to plan on staying long unless you want to go inside. If you have a spare five to ten minutes of time and you are walking around in the area (Boston is an amazing walking city) then I highly recommend you walk through the outside of this building

This is a beautiful place indeed, but don't try taking pictures of the fountains, because a security guard falsely accused a friend who was with me, of taking pictures of children that weren't his. Lol, never knew taking pictures of the fountains wasn't allowed. The security guard kept looking at us, the remainder of the time we were there. My friend and I may think twice about going back here again, unfortunately.

The Christian Science Center in Boston offers a serene and spiritually uplifting experience. The architecture is striking, with the Mother Church and reflecting pool creating a peaceful atmosphere. The beautiful surrounding gardens provide a tranquil escape in the heart of the city. As you explore the center, you'll find a sense of spiritual reverence, and the tranquility of the space allows for quiet reflection. The Mapparium, an impressive glass globe, offers a unique and immersive journey through global history and geography. Whether you're interested in Christian Science or simply seeking a peaceful retreat in the midst of Boston's hustle, the Christian Science Center is a must-visit. The welcoming environment and thoughtful design make it a place where visitors can find moments of peace and inspiration.

Lovely fountain. Kind security guards will look on with vague concern if you, a (questionably) grown adult, run through the fountain fully clothed only to face-plant and remain on the ground in the fountain contemplating the choices that led you to this point. They will not, however, stop you, and I do recommend it.

Rare open space with a huge water area in the middle of the city. New and old buildings mixed together. Water fountain and music shows before 9pm. Now part of Northeastern University campus.

Lovely spot to sit and relax, definitely don't agree with the Christian Science religion, but loved spending some relaxing time in the plaza. Enjoyed watching families splashing in the fountain, a beautiful spot.

Very peaceful and beautiful reflection pond. Did not go inside but the outside is strikingly beautiful.

Not to be missed! Short on time, only walked past the Plaza and refelcting pool. Had not seen it for 48 years. Still as beautiful. Will make time to take in the Mary Baker Library, etc... next time.

Beautiful architecture, a reflecting pool, kept immaculately clean. If you are visiting Boston, do not miss it. Totally free to walk around, and to go inside.

Absolutely beautiful — one of my favorite areas in Boston. This is part of Back Bay, next to Prudential T stop. There’s a lot to do & see in the vicinity in addition to the Plaza and church buildings. “To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, the day is big with blessings.” -Mary Baker Eddy

Super cute and such amazing staff. The globe is a iconic done which also counts as a whispering museum for the amazing architecture and materials used to make the room

A relaxing park with a museum nearby. Water fountains may be one other attraction.

We decided to visit the Christian Science Plaza aka Mary Baker Eddy Library for the purpose of seeing the Mapparium which is the main attraction for most visitors, yet they do not want you to take pictures inside the globe. Unlike most reviews, we were not beat on the overhead or cornered by staff talking about religion, it is far from that all. The cost was only $6 per adult and free for kids 17 and under. The Mapparium is like walking inside a huge globe so if you are claustrophobic then this may not be for you, but overall, it was a great experience.

It was beautiful as always. Unfortunately it was closed during the Thanksgiving Saturday this year so I wasn't able to go inside, but it's always a lovely stroll around its buildings and reflecting pool. Looking forward to going inside someday, I imagine it's quite spectacular :)

beautiful especially at night, just be careful walking on the fountain. I didn’t know what it was because there was no water and it just looked like flooring but I almost got arrested. 10/10 experience!

I found the outside architecture to be interesting. I have no idea what the inside looks like because it was closed
