Excellent food and good service. Reasonably priced. Atmosphere was a bit much. Kinda like mobster meets Lawrence Welk. Overstuffed high back chairs were very comfortable

Delicious Baltic dishes. Very good use of mushrooms, beets, and (yum!) pork. Their Siberian dumplings are to die for.

The worst service that I have EVER experienced! Food was eatible at best. I am sooo sorry that I tipped the "waitress" if that is what we are calling her. The decor is fabulous and was hoping for a great experience and was very disappointment in the service. If you want to be ignored this is the place for you.

Nice little hidden gem of authentic Lithuanian food! I love how the set up is half cafe/restaurant and the other half like a shop. It’s as authentic European as it gets! Service is always more European style, where there really isn’t a rush to get the food to you in a timely manner as we are accustomed to in America. I am knocking down one star for a couple of reasons: the waitress completely forget my friends order, making him wait another half hour to get his meal …and when I ordered the tilapia as my main dish, I was led to believe that it was “just a little bit” of cheese. Having bad acid reflux I was disappointed to see the dish was heavy with cheese, leaving me to avoid most of the dish. Still, the food is unique, delicious and a place I’m willing to go back and give a second try for more authentic homemade Lithuanian dishes - the trip would be worth it just for the beet soup alone!

This cuisine, which I am otherwise unfamiliar with, has some very wonderful flavors. The tenderloin of pork was excellent. The dumplings are quite delicious. Good service and pleasant folks.

Ruta was best place to order Cepelinai,because they were just like homemade. Right now,after changing the cook,they are the worst. Same thing with Ceburekai Very disappointed

I am Lithuanian, eat family prepped Lithuanian food and cook Lithuanian food at home. I've also ordered from all the Lithuanian restos in the area and live very close to Cafe Ruta. I know what Lithuanian food is. The food here has unfortunately gone in the wrong direction. My recent order contained food that was very much overcooked and had to be taken off the table and driven back to be returned. It was that bad. Worse was how they tried to convince us that the food was normal even after we've ordered it many times from them. Sad. That food should never have made it out of the kitchen and she shoukd have just accepted the loss and owned it. It's hit or miss. The kaldunai are always good because they are frozen and boiled to order FYI.
