Very good time!! Customer service was excellent and made us feel so welcome. Food was very nice. Mixed grill was very tasty and meat was cooked perfectly. Cheesy samosa was good as well as free dessert! Definitely recommend this excellent halal option to anyone

This was my Husband & I first time at this Restaurant. We heard so much about it that we had to see for ourselves. Being an Halah restaurant made it even more of a reason for us to try their food. We weren't disappointed 😊. Food was DELICIOUS 😋. Customer Service was EXCELLENT as well. Husband also stated that it was GREAT atmosphere. The Grilled Fish that we got was our FIRST time ever trying, everything blended in so well... Waiter offered us a cup of Egyptian Tea for our great Hospitality 😁, Another first try for us. Good it was. We will DEFINITELY revisit.

Great food, atmosphere and service. As part of my International challenge, I opted for only Egyptian dishes. They were delicious. My favorite was the Maussakah - outstanding. Will definitely return once the year challenge is over. Highly recommend.

Absolutely adore this restaurant! The service was incredible as the cashier/servers were extremely welcoming and helpful. The food was well-cooked and delicious! I found myself wanting to save some for later simply because I know i'd miss it later on! Wish I had a photo of the food only but this photo basically sums up my experience at this wonderful restaurant! May God bless this establishment by increasing its success and notoriety worldwide! :)

Great family run spot for authentic middle eastern food in Philly. We tried the kofta platter, cilantro sampler and Beef shawerma . Food was tasty and fresh and the service was attentive and friendly. The owners are very nice. I hope to come back many times.

This is my new go-to place for Mediterranean! I was at dinner with a friend this past week and it was my first time there. The staff were so nice and helpful! The presentation of the dishes were incredible! The waiter suggested a really good dish where it came on a hot iron skillet. I’ve never liked baklava until I tried theirs. THE BEST BAKLAVA I’VE EVER HAD! I’ll definitely be back with more of my friends for sure :)

Food was absolutely amazing! Joshua gave our table a fantastic experience with recommendations and more than accomodating service. We shared the mixed grill family platter and everything was cooked to perfection. The lamb melted in your mouth and the hummus was one of the best I have ever personally experienced. 10/10 would recommend!

Food tasted good , parking is roadside and if you are lucky you may get spot near the restaurent. Ambience of the restaurant is nice , staffs are friendly , attentive , welcoming. Service was bit faster , their tea is very aromatic and tasted excellent. We tried kebabs, shawarma, cilantro combo , deserts ( average price per head came as middle 40. Felt like the taste of food is not in our taste bud for the price we paid.

This restaurant had really good food. Surprisingly, the size of the food is much larger than I expected. You'll definitely have leftovers to take home afterwards.

Fresh , Citrusy , Tasty And the best … Cilantro the name says it all.No wonder this place has 4.9 rating among 2500 reviews. This is one of our the Favorite place in Philly to try mediterranean food. The place is small and cozy , with some good vibe. The food here is so delicious . The hummus is so fresh along with the pita served. We have tried the chicken kebab, chicken shawarma and mutton chops over our multiple visits. The highlight I would say is their rice, it’s so flavorful yet so subtle. The best rice among all the mediterranean places I have tried so far. The chicken and mutton are so well cooked and taste amazing. Its our go to place to take our friends to try out Cilantro food who visit Philly. Definitely try it out if in Philly.

By far the best meal I have ever had. This was my first time eating whole fish and there was nothing left on my plate but bones at the end. The flavors were absolutely immaculate. I live in Maryland and plan to stop by every now and then JUST for this branzino.

The food was really good- we ordered the two person platter and it was more than enough for 3 people The meat was super flavorful, the rice was really good too, as was the baklava. They also gave us tea afterwards- it was freshly made and super minty and good. Everyone was also very kind to us and went out of their way to get us a table outside and make us comfortable.

One of the best Mediterranean restaurants in town. We tried falafel wraps and falafel platter and they were amazing. Perfect taste and wrap to filling ratio was good too. And if you have a sweet tooth must try the pistachio baklava here. The custard one is famous but we went for pistachio. So maybe try next time. Taste: 4.5/5 Quantity: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambience: 4/5 Overall: 4.5/5

My partner and I ate here for dinner on a Monday night. I got the chicken kabob entree and my partner got the kefta entree. The food was great! Chicken was tender and marinated with lots of flavor. We even got free hot tea and a bite of dessert. Service was great! Our waiters were very kind. It’s conveniently located next to the living arts theatre, where we headed to after dinner!

I've been to this place multiple times. I can't speak on authenticity, as I'm not Middle Eastern, and I have never been to Egypt. But what I can say is that it's delicious. I typically order the beef shawarma entree, and my friend ordered the mixed grill and loved it. I also ordered Baba ganoush the first time I went, and I think it was one of the best I've ever eaten. This time around, I ordered to go and got the chicken shawarma and the cheese samosa. As you can see, the portions are generous. I typically eat twice from the meals. It's hard to tell from the picture, but it comes with pita chips and salad in the plate, too. There were 3 samosas (but I was hungry and didn't remember to take the picture until after I ate the first 2 😅). Like most places, it can have its hit or miss days. So far, I've loved it all the times I've eaten or ordered here. My friend did order one time and thought it wasn't as good as the first time we went, but clearly, it wasn't too bad because she went back multiple times after and still enjoyed it. Plus, they are super sweet and sometimes even give free dessert samples. Good people, cute little space, and great food. Def one of my go-to places when I'm hungry and don't want to cook.

I came here with my fiancée for lunch the other day. We have been curious to try it out and I’m so glad we did! We ordered the platter for two. The hummus and bread was very good and I liked the dressing on the salad. When the platter came, we couldn’t believe how much food was on it! It’s definitely worth the price with how much they give you. I don’t like lamb so my fiancée was gonna eat the lamb but I tried a bite just for fun and it was actually really good. I was surprised because I normally can’t handle it and they cooked/seasoned it so well that I actually enjoyed it. The kofta kebab was just ok. It tasted like they use high quality spices in the ground meat for the kebab but it just wasn’t for me. My fiancée really enjoyed it though!! My favorite was the steak and chicken. They were so good and cooked perfectly. It was super fresh! The grilled veggies with the meat were also great and we really enjoyed them. The rice was a little lukewarm so it got cold with the fans above us. The fries were like that too. I also think the fries could be a little crispier. So the only thing that I didn’t really enjoy was how the rice and fries got cold quickly from the fans in the restaurant. It is very hot outside right now though so I can understand why they want to keep it cool inside. Our waiter was very nice! I wish they had bigger to go boxes because we ended up having to use three smaller ones. Two of those were just used for rice alone. But that’s not a huge issue, just a suggestion. We will definitely come back again when we are craving some Mediterranean food!

The food is amazing! We ate the branzino fish and shrimp, enough to feed at least 2 people. It came with a salad, rice, and fries - the rice was incredible. Also had the falafel and warm pita. I was a bit sad they were out of the grape leaves, but I’m excited to return and order those. Warning - Parking sucks, it’s south Philly. We sat outside bc the restaurant was really chilly, so bring a sweatshirt to avoid sitting outside on a warm night…the bikers will be out and it will be loud.

I had my first dine in at Cilantro, I have done takeout before. Food was amazing, I had the mix grill and my sister had the Branzino fish. The rice, meat was so tasty and well seasoned. I was surprised at how good the fries were also. Portions were really big, such a great value. Service was good, didn’t take too long and waiter was very friendly. He just let us hang out and checked in appropriately. We were offered Egyptian tea for free - tea was really good. And dessert on the house. Very nice and welcoming. Only constructive criticism is maybe use a bigger plate, my pita bread was under a lot of food and was a little soggy. Highly recommend though it’s a small business and they are really nice and make great food!!

Food was great and plentiful with good taste. What makes it 4 stars was the service, or lack thereof. Don't feel it was intended that way, but with some better (attentive) service this place could easily go 5.

The food is absolutely delicious! Everything we ordered was out of this world amazing and I would highly recommend and eat there again in a heartbeat! The portion sizes were big and enough to split between the two of us. And the service is very good too. The waiters are very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend!

The falafel pita was okay, but with a little garlic sauce helped. my partner had the chicken pita and it was much better tastier. The meat had lots of flavor, but it lacked in veggies. We had to request more, but they were more than willing to provide. The inside has interesting and appealing decor, and I enjoyed looking around at the details. The food took quite a long time to get to us. Maybe this was out of the ordinary for them, but they didn’t seem to have fountain drinks, just water bottles and soda cans. The server was very friendly and we enjoyed our conversations with him.

We came here due to the reviews and the food was as good as it sounds/and looks. Best Mediterranean food ever, Philly has some FANTASTIC restaurants and this is definitely a top 10! I had the Chicken Kabob platter and it came with the kabob, that had peppers, onion, and mushrooms, the kabob was seasoned perfectly and paired well with the white sauce. The platter had rice, salad, hummus, fries and a pita bread/with cheese? Not sure what was in it but it was a 10/10. The salad dressing was delicious as was everything on the plate, service was amazing. Don’t pass this restaurant up!

Excellent food! First time here and I will be returning. Food is well seasoned, great portions, nicely plated. The ambiance is similar to that of Egypt. We had the signature entree, along with beef shawarma wrap. Their mint tea is a great original palette cleanser.

We stopped by here for a lunch in Philly, and the food was excellent. We ordered the eggplant moussaka, chicken shawarma, branzino whole grilled fish, hawawshi sandwich, and baklava for dessert. I honestly feel like the food ratings here in Philly are .5 stars inflated, but this place deserves every one of its 5 stars. It’s a no frills, humble looking place with excellent food and service. BYOB and flavor explosion with every bite. We got the Mix Grill for 1 (honestly it feeds 2) and the baba ganoush, both delicious, generous in size, and would absolutely order again. One of the best places we’ve eaten at here so far!

Stumbled into this place while in Philly. Let me tell you, it was an absolute marvel. The food was very well made, and the service was fast and received everything that we wanted. Also, it was a family owned restaurant, and the quality of the food makes your mouth water. I'd highly recommend the mixed plate, which had an abundance of fresh food, but if you're feeling on the light side, then a platter will do. I will be back soon!

The food is AMAZING. Came here late at night for a quick bite, and was so impressed with how much care and quality is put into the food. Love that it’s family owned, too. The only thing that would improve the experience is the option to have a glass of water/tap water instead of bottled. Would definitely recommend

Nice spot to dine, great service, delicious food. Enjoyed every dish that I've ordered, especially the, "Baba Ghanoush" great dish served w/ Pita bread, it's really similar to hummus. Then for the main dish, "Cilantro Signature (Hawawshi)" amazing dish. Similar to a burger quesadilla in a way, regardless. It is scrumptious! Definitely recommended! Go check out the menu for yourself and let me know what's your favorite.

I don’t know where to begin I LOVED Cilantro. Food is delicious and the restaurant truly feels like you’re in a middle east place. This one is from Egypt and is BYOB🍷 (so you can bring your own bottle). The attention was great, the taste on point, and if you’re looking for Mediterranean food, do not hesitate to try this place. I was there for lunch, they had like 10 tables it’s a small place but it wasn’t crowded at the time, it worths every penny.

The food was absolutely amazing. The staff was very pleasant and you can tell they all work together to provide the customers with great service. Although the space is pretty intimate, the staff was able to accommodate our pretty large group. Our entree’s came out fast and hot. It was so delicious! My whole party talked about how good their meal was. We will definitely be coming back again.

If I could give them zero stars I would. My daughter, husband and I waited for almost a hour for our food which never came. We watched other parties come in after us and be served their food while we were still waiting on ours. We ended up walking out. As a black woman I have been in situations where I’ve been refused service. I greatly appreciate it when they are up front. I hope it was fun to watch us wait while you serviced everyone else. Anyway, should you choose to eat there may your experience be better than ours.

While in Philly for a cousin's wedding, we stumbled upon Cilantro, and what a gem it turned out to be! The food was phenomenal, and the service was exceptional. From the mouthwatering mint tea to the delicious eggplant appetizer and the generous mix grill, every bite was perfection. We left with full bellies, smiles on our faces, and a promise to return on our next Philly visit. To the lucky Philly residents, you've got a culinary treasure nearby – savor it for us!

We came on a road trip from Virginia and we were very hungry so coming into this place to be met with the most welcoming service and best food we have ever ate was worth the trip.
