When I started with McNulty in April 2021, I was in absolute crisis. I did not know what to do and I could not find a therapist who was taking new patients. I called McNulty and was set up with Emily. I was skeptical and tried to cancel the next day before I even started and Travis himself called me to talk through why I didn't think Emily could handle my issues. He doubled down and made a promise to me that if Emily didn't work out, he would handle things himself, giving me a personal guarantee. Well, I went to Emily and she was not only incredible, I have now been working with her weekly for almost a year. She is so smart, funny, an excellent listener, and does not let me get away with talking my way out of something. She holds me accountable for my actions and is not afraid to be honest instead of placating me. she has used several therapy techniques with me which I like because sometimes different situations require switching gears a bit. I feel more aware of my own actions, more in control of my emotional wellness, and think more critically through my anxiety, impulses/triggers, and behavioral patterns. She is an OUTSTANDING therapist. The lobby is so cute and calming. I like that they have free coffee/tea, plants, running waterfall, and dim lights while you wait. I also wanted to thank Travis for taking the time to call me when I wanted to cancel in the beginning and putting his word that he was going to make sure I was in good hands. I am very happy here.

McNulty Counseling and Wellness is worth 6 stars they are so amazing. My path to find someone to talk to did not start out great. I attempted an online service through a tele-health mobile app. After multiple therapists canceled appointments last minute with me and after bad connections ruining sessions, I gave up on the mobile app. I then turned to a local search in my immediate neighborhood and that search came up empty with multiple therapists not returning phone calls and emails. I then finally found McNulty Counseling and Wellness in downtown St. Petersburg. From the moment I called them, I was greeted professionally and respectfully by someone who did an amazing job of giving me the details I needed to know and taking down my appointment. I received multiple forms of communication about my appointment and everything to expect. My therapist, reached out with a personal email with all of the information I could possibly need to know about the upcoming appointment. And on the day of the appointment, the professionalism and extra care was very apparent when walking into the waiting room in their office. My sessions have been amazing. As someone who has never been to a therapist before, I had no idea what to expect but I can tell you that I feel amazing after each session. I truly cannot say enough good things about McNulty Counseling and Wellness. My experience has been incredible and I strongly encourage anyone needing someone to listen to reach out to McNulty and setup an appointment today. Don't wait. It's worth every minute of your time.

I started my therapy journey at McNulty Counseling a few months ago and couldn’t feel more sure I picked the right place to help me work through life challenges. I was paired with Bjorn after an initial consultation, and he’s the first therapist who I really feel like understands me. He’s an incredibly good listener and phenomenal at helping me understand any anxiety/depression related issues I am facing. I highly recommend him for counseling! I see Bjorn in-person and via virtual therapy and both have been great experiences.

I have been seeing Emily Tripp at McNulty for a few months now and I am very pleased with the experience. Flexible to do remotely if needed, very communicative and easy to contact, and really cares about the individual growth/journey. Very knowledgeable in many mental health treatment methods, I really feel I am in good hands.

I tend to be a very particular person and not so easy to please. With that being said, I have been Kiesa’s patient for several months now and she has been an amazing therapist. I truly look forward to my sessions with her. She helps me believe I can handle the curve balls life throws at me and she is so easy to talk to. I’d recommend her to anyone and everyone.

McNulty Counseling & Wellness has been a great addition to the process of my recovery from a very serious double heart attack in January. I’d never realized the serious effects if stress on my body until my heart attacks. In addition to Cardiac Rehab, Stents, Heart Medications, and proper nutritional support the hospital provided, I was lacking in mental health support until my GP recommended McNulty. Through my counselor, Bjorn I’ve been able to address this last missing piece of the puzzle in a meaningful way. I can’t say enough to adequately convey what their assistance has meant to me and my recovery. I highly recommend them to anyone seeking to address similar issues.

Francesca Otero-Vargas has been my therapist for the past six months, and she has been absolutely exceptional. From the very beginning, her professionalism, empathy, and deep understanding of my struggles have created a safe space for me to explore my emotions and gain fresh perspectives. Francesca's unwavering support during challenging times, such as starting a new job, moving to a new city, and going through a breakup, has been invaluable. Her flexibility with scheduling, genuine compassion, and insightful guidance have empowered me to make significant strides in my personal growth. I highly recommend Francesca to anyone seeking a compassionate and skilled therapist for a transformative journey towards well-being and self-discovery.

I have been impressed with Bjorn. Fluid delivery of golden nuggets of wisdom. He has seen a lot of cases and it shows in his exceptional listening skills and responses to all of the issues we are all drowning in. It has been a breath of fresh air to unload and be heard. Truly heard. We all have our problems and McNulty is a safe to be open and great place that gives back.

Where do I begin…what makes this group unique is that they offer a variety of programs to fit various personalities, experiences, & belief systems. Each therapist has their own unique way of working with you as an individual or as a family unit. Before you begin, you complete an intake to make sure you’re working with the person who is the best fit for you! The stigma of “going to see someone” is put to rest almost immediately when you realize they have a real plan tailored just for you. I highly recommend McNulty Counseling and Wellness group for any level of therapy or consultation that you seek. I guarantee they have an answer for you. I couldn’t be more pleased.

I have been so fortunate in coming to McNulty Counseling and Wellness and meeting Soula, my therapist. My expectations have far been exceeded by her compassion and understanding of my own situation. I feel she has the perfect balance between listening and speaking and is incredibly down to earth and easy to connect with. I just can’t say enough about how at ease I felt from our first session. Also, the practice in general makes everything so seamless with intake forms available as a Google doc and text reminders for upcoming appointments. I highly recommend this business to anyone who’s looking for a counseling and wellness center - look no further!

I have been attending Rachel’s Mom Group sessions for a few months now. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I have been blown away by how comfortable I am sharing difficult experiences with a group of other women. I am very much the type of person who struggles to accept help and will often say everything is fine, when in reality it is far from it. I have never felt judged, always felt welcomed and even loved by the women in the group, most of whom I had never met before. Being a mom in today’s world is no easy task. It is so refreshing to have a safe space to share and heal with other women who are going through similar experiences and challenges. Rachel is so kind and understanding. Even though it is a small group, she ensures every person’s voice is heard. She is the perfect woman (and mom, herself) to run this group with overwhelming compassion and care. I am so thankful to Rachel and McNulty for creating this much needed safe space for moms to connect and lean on each other.

As a nurse practitioner in the community, I have had the privilege of collaborating with Lindsey Brooks, LMHC on numerous cases involving children in need of psychological support. Her dedication to her work and genuine care for the well-being of each child she treats is truly remarkable. Mrs. Brooks' expertise in child psychology shines through in her ability to connect with young patients, making them feel comfortable and understood. I have witnessed firsthand the positive impact of Mrs. Brooks' interventions, as she empowers children to express their feelings and emotions, helping them develop coping strategies and resilience. Her commitment to ensuring the best possible outcomes for each child is commendable.

As an aspiring counselor I got the opportunity to interview Nicole at McNulty for a project through NSU’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. Nicole was really passionate about her work, eager to help, and very understanding along the way. I thoroughly enjoyed learning about what not only she does but McNulty Counseling as well!

I have seen Dr. Nagle only 3 times. He is very empathetic and "hands on." My mental status has changed from borderline suicidal to " I want to live." I am learning how to cope with my extreme anxiety using pragmatic thought processes that I previously was unaware of. Although I have just begun my journey with him, I have complete faith in his ability to help me get to a complacent place within myself. It also helps that he has given me support after hours when I really needed him. Knowing this, I feel even better in making my choice to have him as my therapist.

I’ve been going to therapy for about 1 year and a half seeing Bjorn. I used to think I’d never need therapy and was I wrong. Bjorn has helped me in some many ways in life. He’s taught me many things that I’d never knew about my self. He’s very professional and easy going. Ever so often I can’t make it in and he’s more than willing to do a FaceTime call with me. I have recommend him to friends and family. He’s a really good guy, listens well, and give excellent advice. 10/10 recommend.

I have been working with Nicole Wilson and it has been a wonderful experience. I received a lot of change in a few sessions. I was looking for a therapist who was well versed in the motherhood transition space and who also offered some form of neuro work such as EMDR. I love the combo of talk therapy and the EMDR that I was offered. I find our sessions very effective and I have always felt safe in the space that is created within McNulty Counseling and Wellness.

As someone who didn't have much experience with counseling, I wasn't sure what to expect. Sarah immediately put me as ease. She is welcoming, professional and understanding. She does a great job balancing listening and giving input. I would highly recommend Sarah to anyone who has a challenge in their life to talk through or even just to become more articulate in life. In the last couple months going to McNulty, I've found just how beneficial counseling can be for overall health!

I am writing this review to express my deepest gratitude to Ramon for helping me overcome grief, stress, anxiety, and burnout. I was in a very dark place when I first started seeing Ramon, but with his help, I was able to process my grief and develop coping mechanisms for my life. Ramon is a highly skilled and compassionate therapist. He created a safe and supportive space for me to share my thoughts and feelings without judgment. He also helped me to identify the patterns of behavior that were contributing to my burnout and develop strategies for change. One of the things that I appreciated most about Ramon is his holistic approach to therapy. He not only addressed the emotional aspects of my grief and anxiety, but also the physical and spiritual aspects. He also encouraged me to connect with my support system and to engage in activities that I enjoyed. After working with Ramon for several months, I am now in a much better place. I am able to manage my stress and anxiety in a healthy way. I am also more resilient and better equipped to deal with challenges in my life. I highly recommend Ramon to anyone who is struggling with grief, burnout, Stress, anxiety, depression, or any other mental health issue.Ramon is a truly gifted therapist who is committed to helping his clients heal and grow.

I have so enjoyed my sessions with Sarah Drew and administrative communication with the McNulty team. Sarah is always incredibly warm, offers an open and welcoming space, and genuinely makes me feel seen and heard. Walking into her office each session feels like a comforting hug and permission to just be- something I never thought therapy could be for me. The tools and resources she has shared with me each session have been so helpful on my mental health journey thus far, and I appreciate how we always revisit what we’ve discussed in previous sessions, too. I’m so thankful for each visit with Sarah, and I’m so grateful to the McNulty team for their flexibility and transparency.

I have been seeing Sarah Drew at McNulty for a few months now and am very happy with my experience. I didn’t go in with any major trauma, just wanted to shed myself of habits that weren’t serving me and feel more full and authentic in my life. Sarah gives me the space to explore and air my own thoughts, while asking guiding questions and pointing out patterns in my thinking that I have missed over the years. I have truly seen a change in myself and feel a new outlook on life just in the short time I have seen her. I am so glad to have found her and to have taken the leap into therapy as a whole.

Emily Tripp of the McNulty Center has been an invaluable source of support during an incredibly challenging time in my life, which included the loss of my partner and entering into a new relationship too soon with someone who, in retrospect, exhibited narcissistic tendencies and exploited my vulnerability. Emily's guidance has been instrumental in helping me navigate these complex experiences, and her insights have fostered growth, resilience, and a deepening bond within my current relationship as we embrace our unique differences. As an individual who identifies as an ethical non-monogamist, is a veteran, and is a former counselor, it was crucial for me to connect with a therapist who not only comprehended the intricacies of my lifestyle choices and background, but also challenged my belief systems rather than merely offering validation. Emily has exceeded my expectations in this regard, and I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone seeking genuine healing and personal growth. While I acknowledge that I still have unresolved matters from my past to address, I am confident that Emily's expertise will continue to be an essential component of my journey towards self-improvement. Emily Tripp has proven to be an exceptional therapist, adept at understanding and addressing the complex challenges that life presents. Her ability to empathize with diverse backgrounds and lifestyle choices, combined with her unwavering commitment to promoting personal growth, make her an ideal choice for those seeking guidance and support. As I continue to work through my past and embrace the future, I am grateful for Emily's expertise and feel confident in recommending her to others who are ready to embark on their own transformative journey towards healing and self-discovery!

I started seeing Sarah Drew I think in October or November of last year & out of all of the therapists I’ve been to she’s been so eye opening to a lot of ways I want to continue to grow as a person. It’s so important for me to feel comfortable while talking about my highs and lows in life and she provides that comfort within her space and in her as a person. Therapy will always be an important part of my life & to know I have found such a great therapist is so incredible. I’d recommended seeing Sarah if you are thinking about starting therapy!

Rachael is an absolutely amazing therapist! She makes me feel at ease even during difficult topics/conversations. She has a therapeutic and calming demeaner and I always feel reassured and validated. She has given my husband and I excellent advice and skills to help handle anything that life throws at us. We were both skeptical on doing counseling but we are so glad we took that step and went in. We are learning to grow and be better as individuals and as a couple. We are so happy we found Rachael and McNulty group!

I Was looking to get back into counseling and heard pretty good reviews of this practice. I went ahead and texted to try to schedule an appointment. Texting was easier for me at the time due to having a newborn. I explained that I was a new mom to a newborn and that I did not have childcare due to being new to the area and having no family around. And honestly, he was so little I didn’t really care to leave him behind just yet. She explained to me they do not recommend bringing children along and never responded to my message after I said I would have to bring baby along. Let me be really clear, I completely understand the reasoning behind that. That should be a time to focus on yourself and it could easily be a distraction. But as a counselor, I do believe they should meet the client where they are at. And having a baby attached to me was very much where I was at. Also, having some self care is better than none until childcare is figured out. I would not recommend this place to anyone due to this experience with them. Definitely will be looking for someone that puts client needs above their personal preference. I encourage this practice to become more mother friendly. New moms need all the support they can get. Who cares if there is a newborn taking a nap or breastfeeding while the mom gets to talk through her struggles etc? If that’s what she has to do temporarily they should welcome her with open arms.

I've been going to McNulty Counseling for a few months now and have enjoyed my experience so far. The office is in a good location in downtown and has a soothing ambiance. I've been working with Emily during that time. She's helped me tremendously! She's effective in her communication to me, helps me seek balance and uncovers blind spots in my life/psychology so I can grow more as a man. Highly recommend McNulty and their counselors.

McNulty Counseling is an excellent facility. My experience has been one of great insight with actionable steps. The guidance I've received from Sarah Drew has helped me manage challenges I faced with recent change as well as helped me keep things in a healthy perspective. In addition, they are flexible offering either in-person or virtual visits and my counselor's session room is cozy and inviting. If you are struggling with something or just need someone to help you navigate a challenging life situation, I would recommend starting here.
