Takakozakura is said to be 450 years old. The origin of the name is that the cherry blossoms bloomed in a season that was not even spring due to the prayer of a filial son, in response to his sick father's wish to see the cherry blossoms, and the father was able to see the cherry blossoms and die, hence the name Takakozakura. The soft, flowing branches are stunning. You can see the beautiful cherry blossoms that have revived their vitality. The 100-year-old weeping cherry tree near the school gate of Shiroyama Nishi Elementary School and the several cherry blossoms in the schoolyard are in full bloom and are very beautiful.

The beautiful weeping cherry blossoms are being protected by students and local residents. Cherry blossoms...*゜*。'*ヽ(○¨○)ノ*'。*゜*....Full bloom♡ It's wonderful that our alma mater has such beautiful cherry blossoms! The festival has been canceled this year I would like to visit again when things return to normal. Parking is free on private property. The owner is selling wild vegetables! (☆`・ω・´) Nice to meet you I went to the place where they were selling it. Skunk cabbage will welcome you.

Visited on the morning of 20220402. When I was looking at the Takako cherry blossoms through the school fence, a kind neighbor guided me to the observation deck. Thank you so much 🙇According to the person, only 30% of the cherry blossoms have bloomed yet, but I'm satisfied to be able to see the beautiful weeping cherry blossoms. This cherry tree is in full bloom and sits in the middle of the school playground. We are grateful to the people of the area for nurturing it with such care.

I was able to visit Shiroyama Nishi Elementary School on a small solo trip. This is the place where the famous cherry tree, Takakozakura, is named. I am glad that I was able to see the long-awaited Takako cherry tree, which was a feast for the eyes. True to its name, Takakozakura has an elegant and beautiful appearance. It will be fully open to the public on April 1st (Saturday), and you can enter the school grounds, but other than that, the only drawback is that you have to go up to the Takako Sakura Observation Deck to see it. This is a wonderful and beautiful Takako cherry tree.

It's very beautiful, but you can't enter the schoolyard except on the day of the cherry blossom festival. You can see the whole thing from the observation deck on the mountain side. For me, it's the best cherry blossom in Japan 🌸

Today, it's warm and sunny like early summer, and I went to see "Takako Sakura" again this year. Due to the influence of the new coronavirus, entry to the premises was prohibited just like last year, so This time, while walking around the mountain behind the elementary school, I went up to the Takako Sakura Observation Deck. The view looking down on the weeping cherry blossoms from above is quite special. The ``Takakozakura'' tree that stands in the middle of the schoolyard is past its full bloom, but the cherry blossoms that have just begun to fall and have turned a deep pink color are also beautiful.

I stopped by while driving. The sight of the weeping cherry blossoms on the grounds of the elementary school was nothing short of spectacular. It was also possible to see the view from the hill, which was also a wonderful view. I would like to visit again if I have a chance.

A 450-year-old weeping cherry tree in the schoolyard of Utsunomiya City Shiroyama Nishi Elementary School. Normally, you cannot enter the schoolyard, so you can only view it from an observation deck built a little bit up the mountain next door. During the blooming season, the Takako Cherry Blossom Festival is held, so you can see them up close.

A beautiful weeping cherry tree is blooming in the middle of the schoolyard. It feels like a local festival, and the freshly made soba noodles and directly sold vegetables are fun. I'm also looking forward to going for a walk to see the nearby anthorn colony and skunk cabbage.
