I have been on many wine tours all over the world, this is not just a wine tour. This is a cultural experience. Caroline's knowledge of wine is extensive. If you have ever heard "Beaujolais is just table wine or for people who don't like wine", Caroline will banish those words from your lips forever. You will find yourself being a champion of the region. The wine tasting was thoughtful, educational, easy to understand and fun! The tour of Lyon was perfection. I couldn't have asked for a better guide. It wasn't rushed, and we even had time for a little shopping before lunch. The highlight of the weekend was the day trip to Beaujolais. We went to three different vinyards, each unique. I only wish I had more room in my suitcase to bring back more wine! Caroline is attentive, accomodating and a blast to be around. Book this 3 day tour now. You will be talking about it for years to come.

My good friend surprised his fiance with a wine tasting and invited a bunch of us along. Caroline was extremely knowledgeable and not pretentious in her download of knowledge on wine - she made the experience enjoyable and personable and the time flew by. Wow! I attended a virtual happy hour tasting with Caroline today and it was an exceptional experience. Caroline is a wine expert and despite the fact that she had another wine expert (me) and a winemaker plus a newbie she was amazing. It can be difficult to make wine interesting for such varied levels of experience. Not for Caroline! Using Zoom we were able to learn from the wines each person was drinking. The tasting was unstructured in that sense but structured because Caroline provided a tasting sheet and led us through each aspect of our wines. I highly recommend doing this while in Lyon or taking advantage of the online tastings she is conducting during quarantine. Sign up is easy through the website and Zoom is intuitive.

Had the best time at Carolines wine tasting! So fun- tried so many wines that were delicious and truly learned a lot. Caroline has a lot of history as she presents wine that make the whole experience a blast. I cant wait to go back and visit. Caroline was so helpful for our whole time in Lyon. My husband and I were there for the weekend and she helped us plan our whole itinerary up in beaujolais- she coordinated the car, lunch, wineries. We had the best time and all of the stops were so unique. two were beautiful chateaus and the last one was so fun and we were drinking straight from the tap! She also gave us great restaurant recommendations and told us lots of facts about what sites were worth seeing. Cant recommend enough.

We had a great time sampling local wines (and cheeses). Caroline was fantastic, providing lots of info and history of the wines, producers and wine regions. We had very like minded people on the tasting which was fun. Buffy (the dog) was super friendly and made best friends with everybody by the end of the afternoon. If you are looking to learn about all the regions around Lyon and the different types of wines they produce we cannot recommend Caroline's tastings enough. Great for beginners and connoisseurs alike.

Caroline was a brilliant host who made us feel very comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed the experience and bonus she was in walking distance of the main centre which was great! The time flew by and Caroline went over and above with lots of wine and tips throughout the experience. We got to try lots of options with a sparkling wine to start with, 3 whites, 3 reds and a digestif after. Not only was the wine amazing, Caroline had an awesome cheeseboard (accommodating us a vegetarian guests) and gave us lots of insights on what to so and where to go in Lyon which was perfect for our first day there! Brilliant experience and would definitely do it again!!

My fiancée and I had an incredible time with Caroline and really enjoyed our wine tasting. She presented us with a great selection of wines that helped us understand the diversity of grapes, soil / land, and techniques of the larger Burgundy area. She had such a fun wealth of knowledge educating us on not only wines from the Burgundy area but also wine regions throughout France. She even provided us with personalized, handmade books with terminology, information, and places for us to take notes during the tasting. Caroline provided an awesome experience in Lyon that was everything I ever hoped for. She’s a fantastic host - extremely knowledgeable regarding wine with a really fun personality. Caroline's wine knowledge is without comparison, she is also a cheeseboard master! Caroline encouraged us to ask questions and to be curious of all the different wines we tasted. Her wealth of knowledge and approachable personality made the perfect conditions for welcoming environment. Caroline’s warm and kind personality made me feel at home almost instantly. Spent a great weekend with Caroline and Lyon Wine Tastings. She is unbelievably knowledgeable about wine and food, and very entertaining. We had a private tasting with her on Friday, a great tour of Lyon's sights and hidden gems, followed by great lunch on Saturday, again featuring local wine and traditional food. And had a spectacular day in Beaujolais visiting wineries, tasting with small and large wine makers and another delicious lunch with locally grown and prepared food and wine pairing. I have visited wineries all over the world and the days with Caroline were one of my favorites. She is great combination of knowledge, humor, resourcefulness and passion! It was like taking an amazing tour with your best friend. I would highly recommend booking, you will walk away with great learning and having had a fantastic time along the way.

This was one of the best wine experiences I’ve had. I love wine tours, but I wasn’t really in the mood to do one. However, as a wine lover, I couldn’t come to France and not have a wine experience. This was an excellent choice. Carolyn had seven nicely portioned tastings from a bubbly to a delicious full-bodied red. All of the wines came from within two hours of Lyon. She served yummy cheeses, meats, and a goose rillettes that I’m on the search for. All of this took place in a cozy apartment in Lyon. It was relaxing, not rushed, and she provided a rich history about the wines in the region. If possible, this is how I would do all of my future wine tours. I highly recommend this experience.

A wine tasting session with Caroline is an absolute treat. It felt like a gathering of friends from all parts of the world. I didn't know much about wine characters but I learned quite a bit. This would suit both novices and the advanced wine connoisseur.

As we sit here on our couch in Indianapolis sipping a beautiful bottle of wine from our trip to Beaujolais, we can’t help but think about the incredible wine tour Caroline took us on last fall. Not only did we visit three unique wineries in Cote-de-Brouilly, we learned so much about the history of wine in France and specifically the region of Beaujolais thanks to Caroline. We did not anticipate the amount of fun we had on the tour which even included an amazingly delicious lunch with one of the winemakers. We did an online virtual wine tasting with a group of friends from around the country during quarantine, and not only was it an awesome way to catch up and spend quality time together, Caroline was awesome! She had everyone from our group choose a bottle of wine and send her a picture so that she could research it beforehand. At the start of the tasting she gave an overview of different types of wine, with tips for how to develop your wine tasting technique. Later she went into detail about each person's chosen wine, with background on the location and history, as well as what sets that wine apart. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and very approachable on what can be an intimidating (and pretentious) subject. I'm already looking forward to doing another session with her soon!

Since our first in-person tasting last fall, Caroline has been our go to person for wine advice all of which has led to a great friendship. The virtual tasting was a fun and informative...a most pleasant way to spend an hour sipping wine, meeting new people and feeling like something new was added to your wine knowledge.

It was an incredible experience where Caroline taught us how to smell the wine, taste the wine, and taught us a little bit about where the wine is made and how it's grown. We learnt so much in such a short time and highly recommend a tasting with her, because if this free online class was anything to go by, we are certain all of her other ones would be fantastic. Like so many, I'm suddenly taking tons of online classes to fill free time. Caroline's wine tasting class was one of my favorites. I've been to many in-person wine tasting events, but I learned more about how to actually see/smell/examine the wine in a way that made sense. My classmates ranged from newbies to a couple with a wine cellar but everyone was involved all through the class asking questions and chatting. If you ever have questions about wine and are afraid to ask it don’t be in these sessions. We had attendees with somm-level experience to beginners and everyone learned something...and had fun throughout the tasting. Caroline was very knowledgeable, engaged and approachable. When I find myself in Lyon at some point in the future, Lyon Wine Tastings is not going to be missed.
