First time here in the Church. We see this our eyes the hundreds of miracles that they take place here. Amazing. We had the opportunity to stay for the Saint Fanourios feast. I recommend that for every orthodox out there. Very Holy place.

The best view in Athens! So worth it, absolutely must see place, especially in sunset! Beautiful small church in traditional greek colors, coffee-restaurant with wonderful views right before the church.

This was such a unique location, definitely the coolest thing I saw in Athens! We took the tram up but we didn’t realize it wasn’t at the top, so we had to run down the hill since it was closing in about 15 mins, but well worth the run in the middle of a heat wave! The church has a few smaller churches on the way, so there are several neat buildings to look at 😊

It is very easy to miss because the path is leading towards mountain peak with the view this place is on the side so don’t climb up. Nice very well maintained and quiet place with sitting area inside and outside the church. It closes early so plan your visit. Inside it is a litter water sink in the rocks not sure if it is “holy” water but I saw people drinking and there are also plastic cups. Attaching pictures for reference. Enjoy 😊

Small church at the top of the hill. It’s very similar to most of the other tiny churches around Athens and Greece so nothing surprising here. It’s cute but that’s about it. But the bell tower is separated from the church and is at the edge of the cliff, which is unique. There is a vendor in front of the church that sells drinks and trinkets.

For sure a good hike, takes about 35minutes if you are fit. Make sure you bring your binoculars or monocular ;). Take water with you as stuff gets very expensive up there. Take the trails from the south as these are more rough and tough, but you can get a taxi to 2/3 up. Once down again there are nice neighborhoods cafes on which you get a quick drink.

If you’d like to have a clear view to whole Athens it’s worth taking a 30-minute walk to the top of this hill

So beautiful church full of atmosphere with a lovely priest very close to the people who can enjoy an unique and overnight special service all year around and on important dates like Orthodox Easter.

It is magical, resting high above Athens, an ancient Orthodox chapel has been made-over from the past couple of decades into a gorgeous religious retreat.

Make sure you've got strong and healthy legs/knees. Too many stairs to get to the church.

Priests were impolite. Things they were selling were very expensive! The only nice guy was the candian guy who guided us and told us more on the place. Two stars because of this guy and the nice church.

Truly a holy place that is loved from people all over the world. During the last couple of year we feel blessed to be able to watch their services online and to listen to the talks of father Dimitri.
