The hotel staff was very nice and kindly upgraded our room to junior suite. However on one of the mornings, there is one guy with our room key card who entered our room (while we are still in the room) without knocking. The guys apologized and left the room and apparently entered the next room, where we later heard heavy noise with the wall shaking. Without knowing what is happening, we called the front desk and later received a call from general manager Alex who explained to us the guy was the engineer of the hotel who was supposedly to enter the room next to ours to do some construction work. Four things really disappointed us and it will be a firm NO that we will never stay in this hotel: 1) Having a non-cleaning staff holding a room key to an occupied room and entering the room is a serious security breach. Especially given this is a five star hotel, this is not acceptable. 2) The way that the general manager treated this matter is abrupt and unapologetic - we did not hear how he intends to help avoid this matter in the future and he did not even bother to show up although he kept saying security is hotel's top priority. 3) The hotel did not inform guest when they plans to do major construction next to an occupied room. This has caused confusion and disturbance to our stay. 4) We waited more than 30 minutes for the hotel to do the investigation and we were quite anxious given we had no idea whether the guy is even a hotel staff or not.

We absolutely loved our eight nights at this hotel. We hope to visit Paris again next year and will definitely stay here again. We had two rooms both had modern amenities. There were USB ports and plenty of outlets. There was good internet service. Both rooms had a table that was a good workspace. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The concierge made some excellent recommendations and reservations. The rooms were clean and the treats on our bed each day were a nice touch. We opted out of the breakfast as we wanted to sample as much food as possible. We did have an excellent cappuccino in the lobby one rainy morning before borrowing umbrellas to venture out. We also had wine in the lobby which is very pleasant to relax in. The area is a little off the beaten path which is nice because it is quiet. You can still walk anywhere from here. It just might be a little longer walk. There are plenty of great places to eat close by.

I came to Paris on a very unseasonably warm long weekend in September 2023 and I am so happy I stayed in this hotel. The rooms were lovely, modern, and spacious (by any large city standard). The Marias is a neighborhood filed with great cafes and doesn't feel very touristy at all. The air conditioning, water pressure, and wifi in the hotel were all perfect. The staff of the hotel was truly lovely. There was dispensable flavored ice water constantly in the lobby for guests to enjoy a refreshing glass of water on a hot day. I am a Marriott lifetime platinum member and would definitely stay again and recommend this hotel. Great hotel in a fabulous area of Paris. I just want to add that Maria at the front desk was amazing, kind, and so helpful. I hope you are paying her well because this is just the type of people you need on staff for a great guest experience.

This is NOT a 5-star hotel in terms of service or facilities - and the rooms are extremely small (pictures are misleading). We couldn’t even open our checked luggage in the room without having to do elaborate gymnastics to maneuver around. Every time I tried calling room service or the front desk I was disconnected and never got a call back. Finally went down to the lobby/bar to pick up an overpriced bottle of wine and carry it back upstairs myself in a plastic bag full of ice water (along with two wine glasses in the other hand) - sorry but that’s not “5 stars.” Maybe they think it’s worthy of 5-stars because of their “round” windows (in need of a good wash) and the gimmicky TV system that raises / lowers out of the foot of the bed with a remote (in reality the room is too small for TV to go anywhere else). *Highly recommend* to stay at the fantastic HOTEL DU SENTIER or the more affordable CASAO (both with rooms that are double the size, bigger windows, more light, better views, better A/C, and much better service!)

Really wanted to like this hotel. Was the last one on our euro trip and the one where employees seemed less caring of the bunch. We had an incident where an unidentified male entered our room without notice, didn’t speak English to communicate what he was doing and just walked out. Staff declared he was a hotel technician. He had no tools or badge and I had a small child in the room so excuse my reason for being on high alert here. Yet the staff just offered a verbal apology , nothing else. You be the judge, is this enough considering guest safety should be top priority? I’ve gotten more including major points for smaller incidents. But the overall “what’s the big deal” from their very young staff is telling. Would not recommend this hotel for families due to the indifferent staff, tiny elevators, and the surrounding area is a bit sketchy at night.

WE stayed there in Sept. We were given an upgrade with a great balcony, but it was pouring rain the 2 days we were there. The room was quirky, the lovely balcony entrance was through the bathroom. There was no desk or area for a computer accept your lap...hence "laptop"! The concierge was fantastic! We enjoyed our time there

I honestly don't know how this place has such a high rating. The rooms are horrendously tiny. The washroom layout is absurd. The bed was equivalent to sleeping on a cheap pullout sofa. Cleaning of the room was nonexistent. The restaurant was terrible. It was the worst Marriott branded hotels I've ever stayed in. The only positive thing I can say is that the doorman (fellow in the picture) was fabulous in regards to helpful tips, help with luggage, and just awesome to chat with.

My wife and I stayed here for a couple of days while visiting France and we would recommend the hotel. It is in a great location right next to the Metro with many restaurants and coffee shops nearby. The concierge and all the staff were very helpful as we were looking for some more local sites since we had been to Paris before. The breakfast was also good. Overall we had a great experience.

Context: work trip from London to Paris for 2 nights Pre-arrival Very reactive to queries via the Marriott Bonvoy app (the fastest I've experienced in this range of hotels). I asked for additional towels on arrival and lo and behold the housekeeping staff got the instructions and acted on them correctly. I checked-in via the app and was informed through a notification on my phone that my "room was ready". That was quite neat. Arrival experience Bellboy standing outside ready to receive guests with luggage. I only had my backpack so couldn't fully test the end to end experience from entry to room. Bellboy was friendly and attentive on arrival. Reception Again, very receptive to my arrival, there was a welcome and also one of the staff members offered some fresh fruit infused water - which I declined purely as I'd had a hearty dinner before arrival. Otherwise an uneventful check-in - just what you need after a day of travel and meeting work colleagues. Lift There are 3 lifts (2 directly opposite reception and 1 around the corner which is out of sight on arrival). You need to tap your card to get anywhere which is a common feature these days for security reasons. If you get an electronic key, you can use your phone to activate the lift which is quite cool. Room I booked the Queen size bedroom. On arrival you could see it has been sanitized well. The TV in the room was a standard 48" and had welcome music playing on arrival with a personalised greeting. I appreciated the golden fixtures and hanging lamps which added a really nice character to the room. The shower is generously sized and is the rain shower type.

I wanted to stay in Marisa, Paris, so we chose this hotel for out 4 night stay. The stay was very much helped by the staff upgrading us from standard room to a room with nice sitting area. The property is very well maintained. The bar staff was wonderful, we enjoyed a cocktail there every night. Try the Aperol spritz with rosemary, a twist with the bar tenders on secret homemade sauce. The outside patio is a wonderful place to sit, but it would be nice if no smoking was allowed there.

We had an outstanding experience at this hotel. Staff was great. Rooms very clean. Location was awesome, 2 min to metro, and in the thick of local young parissiens. Highly recommend. Very smoke friendly, as they had a large separate verandah.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The amenities were sufficient, clean, and accessible (umbrellas, scooters, and USA charging converters, etc, at the front desk). The temperature in the room was easily adjustable (and actually worked) and all amenities in the room were clean and operable. The hotel is about a 30 minute walk from the main attractions (Louvre 25 mins, Eiffel 1 hr walking) which is nice because it is not a busy part of the city, and on your walk to those areas you get a glimpse of the architecture and the day to day living of the Parisians. On the website, it is advertised via photos and almost implied that there is a gym and sauna, however, we were not able to access the gym with our access card, and there is a €40 charge to use the sauna. Overall, this was a great stay and a 4.5+ experience.

This hotel truly stands out as one of the finest accommodations my wife and I have had the pleasure of experiencing, largely due to its exceptional LOCATION, the warmth of the FRIENDLY STAFF, and the impressive range of AMENITIES offered. Reflecting on our holiday, we find ourselves continually reminiscing about the delightful time we had under the care of Inez. Her personalized attention not only enhanced our stay within the property but also enriched our exploration of Paris with her invaluable recommendations. Our heartfelt appreciation extends to the entire breakfast team whose attentive service added an extra layer of joy to our mornings. It's the thoughtful gestures from individuals like Inez, the dedicated breakfast team, the diligent housekeepers, and the entire staff that truly elevate the guest experience, making every moment enjoyable and memorable. Thank you from Jennifer & Justin

This hotel is really a mixed bag. Positives: great breakfast, good restaurant for dinner, our room was quiet at night. Good bedding though cramped bed for two. Titanium status landed me an upgrade to a room overlooking the inner yard. Quiet but dark. The room itself was cramped. A decent round table to work, but no closet space at all, only one towel hanger in the bathroom. Shower was impractical, hard to use without flooding the room. Other amenities ok. Housekeeping completely hit and miss. Some days they would come, some days no show. Some speak french, one not a word of french or english. Sometimes the front desk would not pick up the phone either. Location is nice, next to the Republique metro station and lots of restaurants within walking distance. Value for money remains highly questionable. Other than the nice breakfast and quality bedding/towels, almost everything else is 3* grade. There has to be a better Marriott property in that price range in the center of Paris.

Amazing help from receptionist and staff. This place is so classy and polite. The room exceeded my standards and so did the service. I will only stay Here when I visit Paris

For this trip, this was the perfect location. I would have loved this except my toilet wasn't clean when I arrived. That being said, the room was a good size for Paris. But, let's be honest, I didn't spend much time in the room. Limited interactions with the staff were very pleasant.

Nice hotel, room was good. Bed was stiff, not my preference but some might like. Was upgraded in app when I checked in for titanium level but when I arrived I was downgraded and no comment about it until I asked.

Stayed for 5 nights and it was lovely - a modern, beautiful, full service hotel. The breakfast was delicious (best pancakes we ever had) with plenty of options for tourists (four types of coffee included, smoked salmon, breads, yogurts, eggs your way, etc.). The rooms were well appointed, modern decor and fairly new, with nice views of Paris rooftops. We had a hard time picking hotel as there are many choices in Paris, but we made the right choice. It is right across the street from the train station (which allows you to go to all of the tourist attractions and different parts of the city). It is located in a residential neighborhood, with people roaming the streets all day and night, and packed restaurants open until midnight. A few small grocery stores within walking distance, and a pharmacy as well. Great staff - thank you for making our stay perfect.

Well located hotel. Polite and multilingual staff. cleaned rooms. No need to ask for the view on the Main Street as nothing to see except police bus, sexy riot control policemen and protesters for strike (loud early morning). The bathroom is in the bedroom. No privacy when one is showering with light when the other wants to sleep. Spa complicated to book for massage because indépendant of the hotel and no website to book on Kine. And Front desk can’t book for you. Small gym (can’t be more than 2 at the same time). Overrated brunch buffet. Miss a real bartender for cocktails despite having a bar in the lobby. Ugly graffiti painting windows every year for Christmas.

The customer service is on top, well beyond and above what’s expected. The staff are very pleasant, always smiling and willing to help. The rooms are spacious, clean, full of natural light and smells nice. Did I forget to mention the breakfast buffet? The food is well beyond what’s expected and they’re many options on the menu. Regarding the location, I couldn’t ask for more as it’s centrally located and easily accessible to many interesting places. I’ll definitely stay again!

My stay was seamless and this was the perfect place to enjoy Paris! Also, a special shout out to the incredible Marie-Agnès and Fabien for their above and beyond effort to help me resolve a last minute emergency. I’m so grateful and cannot wait to come back!

Room is not big but really hipster, there is a sleeper by the window not a best place to work but really nice to enjoin the view of Paris🇫🇷But remember to close the curtain cause the building is really close. There have the capsule coffee machine, TV, and USB charging sockets on both sides of the bed. There are several kinds of bread for breakfast, as well as freshly made omelettes, smoked salmon, ham and cheese, yogurt. There is water in the lobby, and electric cars can be rented. If you need a taxi, you can also ask the hotel to help.

Fantastic experience! Guest services were very friendly. The rooms felt chique and modern. Cleaningness was great. Definitely deserves the 5 star rating. If you're looking for an affordable 5 star hotel in paris, I would definitely recommend this one!

There are simply not enough praises to be heaped upon this establishment and the team who works here. My long awaited and highly anticipated trip to Paris was marred by delays and cancellations, but it was all worth it when I arrived to the most hospitable and welcoming team, followed by rest in the most immaculate room with a breathtaking view. I was supposed to stay at a couple other hotels, but I had to cancel and spend the rest of my stay with Renaissance Paris République. Special shoutouts to Alexandre and Georges for going above and beyond to make sure I had a stay to remember. Looking forward to my next visit before I even left.

This hotel is next level - everything about it is top notch really. I would be happy to live in one of the rooms. Every detail was well thought out. My wife and I stay in about 175 hotels a year worldwide and this one was one of the best. Also, great food at a decent price and lovely staff.

Excellent option in Paris. Facilities and food are top notch, but the staff is the best I have come across in many visits to the city. Every member of the staff went out of their way to help us feel welcome, very impressive. Salient among all details, was that I needed help parking a car that was too high for the hotels parking space. We received help like we were VIP guests. Well done.

It was a privilege to stay at such a wonderful hotel. The location might be intimidating, but it is centrally located near most of the tourist attractions. The staff goes above and beyond to answer any question and assist with purchasing tickets to events or places more difficult for a foreigner. They are definitely the most memorable hotel staff I have seen.
