This is a trendy, bustling place to get some tasty but expensive Korean food/street food. I ordered the tteokbokki and Korean fried chicken, and it cost about 18€ for the two items. The portions for both were very small and overpriced. I ordered the smallest portion of chicken (5 pieces) and I could’ve ordered more, but I couldn’t justify spending more money. The chicken itself was crispy, cooked well, and big for each piece. I chose the soy ginger and garlic mayo flavors. I loved the soy ginger flavor! It was delicately gingery, and had enough soy flavor without being too salty. The garlic mayo was too thick, and it tasted much more like onion to me than garlic. The tteokbokki was tangy, sweet, and just spicy enough, though too small for one person let alone a group. Maybe this place would be better suited if you have a bigger budget or if you are not very hungry, but I would not really recommend what I ordered for someone eating alone. I would try this place again as the food was good, but I would not reorder the garlic mayo flavored chicken and I would not expect to leave stuffed.

I loved this place. The menu is quite simple but all the Korean specialties you are craving must be there. The bao with beef was so juicy and soft, and fried chicken was amazing. The sides we’ve tried were also full of flavours. I will definitely come back to try other things, next to the classics I mentioned above of course.

🤩 Delicious food! came for a quick bite at lunch. Got a table outside, service was fast and polite. We tried some raviolis with chicken and some on the bun, spicy pork 🐷 and tempura shrimp 🍤. Everything was delicious, the buns were light and fluffy. Price is correct, you will be around 20-30€ / person with starter, main and a drink. Clearly recommend this place and I would definitely come back. 👍

We went here very randomly because it was by our hotel and we were tired and looking for a meal. And we were blown away by the food and the excellent service. Every thing we ate was delicious and we tried quite a few things. The Korean fried chicken is excellent - crispy with a good amount of sauce. The bowls had tons of vegetables and meats. Must visit if you’re looking for amazing Korean food

I absolutely love their 18€ rice and fried chicken!! It's well worth a try (I also love Kimchi soup). But I was disappointed with the kimchi pancake, it was bland and had no kimchi taste. I paid 8€ for it and it let me down. But the other dishes are delicious! Hope you can revise the kimchi pancake recipe

Staff were friendly and service was really quick. The Korean fried chicken was the star of the show with the rice and beef coming in second. The prawn buns were okay. Also ordered the yuzu lemonade which a bit too bitter for my taste. Overall the food was tasty.

Tried the korean fried chicken with soy/ginger sauce and garlic mayo. The chicken was quite juicy, good crust but slightly lacking in crispiness. The soy ginger sauce was good. The mayo garlic had a pleasant taste but was too heavy and abundant on the wings. Would have preferred to have been able to dip it in the sauce. 8 euros for 5 smallish pieces.

Korean street food style, simple menu, familiar korean dishes but very well executed. I like the rustic, industrial design with food served on metal trays. Main dishes come with side dishes too so it would be ideal for a quick/simple meal. We have been trying a lot of korean restaurants in Paris and I like On the Bab fried chicken the most, crunchy with plenty of sauce!! We found this restaurant randomly but were quite impressed. Def will be back to try the rest of the menu.

The highlight of my dinner was undoubtedly the bulgogi beef and the spicy pork baos. These delectable treats were prepared to perfection, freshly steamed buns with flavors blending harmoniously. The tender and succulent bulgogi beef was a true delight, while the spicy pork baos provided a delightful kick that kept my taste buds tingling. I can confidently say that they were some of the best I have ever had. Additionally, I was thoroughly impressed with the generous portions of their bibimbap. The combination of fresh vegetables, savory meats, and aromatic sauces created a mouthwatering explosion of flavors. However, it is worth noting that the prices were on the higher end. While the quality of the food certainly justifies the cost to some extent, it might deter those on a tighter budget. Despite this drawback, I believe that the overall experience and taste make it a worthwhile indulgence. Lastly, I highly recommend trying the unique combination of soju, a popular Korean distilled spirit, with beer creates a refreshing and surprisingly smooth concoction. This Korean drinking tradition, known as "somac," is a delightful way to enhance your dining experience. I can't wait till my next visit...

One of my favorite spots in Paris! Went there for lunch & i can easily say that the food is amazing! They covered every single aspect of the korean cuisine & the way they do it and the way food tastes is really outstanding. I can highly recommend the korean chicken wings, the bao buns & the noodles. Not the most luxurious/comfiest setting but it does the job. Usually it gets really packed so be ready to stand in a small line. Eats recommends!!

Great place, very nice and basic. But hey you're there for the food right? Portions are good and the Korean fried chicken is very tasty. And I am telling you this as a self proclaimed expert..I went to Seoul to find the best chicken. Staff is super friendly. Yes prices are a bit high, but hey if you share it with some friends it should be ok...and not to mention it's Paris right.

The hot pot bibimbap was delicious. I got the one with beef. It’s huge and filling. We also ordered Korean fried chicken to share. We had the garlic mayo and the soy ginger. We queued up for about 15-20 minutes. Be ready to wait for quite some time outside. The food came quickly on the other hand. Staff was nice and polite.

As a Korean, I wouldn’t say it’s 100% authentic, I can feel that they are targetting mostly French young generation. But the thing is, they created their own Fusion style in a modern way, which is cool, it is not just ordinary typical style of Korean food that we usually eat in France. This place just has some vibes of Seoul, can’t explain what exactly. Anyway, 100% recommended. Pajeon is expensive for the size tho 😵‍💫

Recommended by my boyfriend, we ventured to On the Bab in Paris. Despite the usual long lines, luck was on our side as we secured a table without waiting. The food was simply awesome. Initially visiting for lunch, we couldn't resist returning for dinner due to the deliciousness of each dish. The flavors were remarkable, making it a must-visit spot for authentic Korean cuisine in Paris. 🥰👍🏼

The fried chicken and bibimbap are very delicious and the portions are generous. It’s just that the tteokbokki is very small.

Our hotel was near, so we decided to go there. We were honestly amazed by how great this place is. The food is excellent and worth the money. The service is of great quality, and the food came quite quickly. The staff was friendly, and the ambiance and comfort of the place were also good.

The ramen at this place might not be the top recommendation. The broth lacked the flavor I was hoping for, which was a bit disappointing. However, I must say that the dimsum in the soup was a pleasant surprise and quite delicious! My friends who has the fried chicken seemed to enjoy it though. Keep in mind that the wait can be quite lengthy during peak hours, so plan accordingly.

On the bab is one of the three best Korean restaurant where we can get the delicious and typical Korean fried chickens. I love eating inside the restaurant that make me feel like in Korean too.

I ordered Bibimbap for takeout. The taste is amazing, especially the egg - so yummy!! Gave it a 4 star because the size is too small but everything else is perfect

This Korean chain offers you a good variety of dishes - not too many to overwhelm you and not too few either. The fried chicken is fantastic and the hotpot is a must try. Service was kind and helped us out with deciding which appetizers to go for. Would definitely go again when in need of a quick, tasty lunch.

We wanted to try Korean food for the first time. Arrived towards 8.30 pm on a Sunday night. Location of this place is in a nice neighborhood. There was a queue at the door. We waited for ~15 minutes or so. We moved fairly fast. Got a table inside in the AC. The waiter, Kevin, was very welcoming, helpful, and passionate about the food. He welcomed us with a smile and gave us tips as first timers. The food was delicious!!!! We liked everything we ate. The pork was tasty. The chicken dumplings also! Everything is very savory. Price wise it’s a bit expensive. I ate entrée and main meal, and drank one coca cola = 28,5 €. Usually Korean food is much cheaper. Also water bottle that comes with food is actually very small. We were 4 and had to ask for water thrice. Overall experience was good.

Very expensive for what it is worth. Perhaps the staff is good, motivated and efficient. Despite food presentation is pretty good I can't give it a 5stars review as the food was not tasty as expected.

"On the Bab" is a very nicely located Korean restaurant. I visited the restaurant with my girlfriend in the summer, we sat outside and the service was very friendly and accommodating. The food, especially the karaage (fried chicken), was super tasty and very well presented. The homemade sodas were also very well made. We will certainly be back on our next visit to Paris! In addition, the area in which the restaurant is located is worth a visit!

OVERRATED After reading the glowing reviews, we decided to try this Korean restaurant. Curious by nature and accustomed to international cuisines, we were really dissatisfied and couldn’t understand the enthusiasm of previous reviews, especially after we waited in line for an hour. The food was of acceptable quality, but it wasn’t particularly flavorful or exceptional, and most importantly portions were WAY TOO small for the price. After finishing what we had ordered we went to a different restaurant so that we could have a proper dinner !!! Service not really helpful rather overwhelmed. Not recommended

Loooved the food, staff, place and whole experience! Everything was amazing, employees were very helpful and all spoke English and easily explained everything on the menu. The food they recommended to us was the perfect choice 🫶🏼 I recommend If you are looking for some delicious Asian food

The kimchi pork stew was very delicious with thick and tasty broth. Fried chicken was just average. Friendly services, but very noisy during dinner services, maybe it’s the atmosphere they wanted to create 😅

First time at a Korean restaurant so we were struggling to understand the menu. We were seated outside which was nice and service was friendly. The prices are high. Food was okay but maybe due to our lack of experience with Korean food hard to judge. To take it as a beginners impression: - hot pot was okay with rice some veggies egg and meat but very little to get fed. - „on the bun“ was a Korean bun with sliced spicy meat. Very good but for 16€ way too little. On the tables next to us, people had other interesting dishes i would have loved to try. All in different little plates and bowls very interesting… so if you are curious and willing to pay the price this could be a good place for you ☺️

Bao Bun: 5/5 Chicken: Sweet & Spicy 5/5 Garlic Mayo 3/5 Cabbage that comes with it - has no taste. It seems like it is there just to fill the plate. 1/5 Make sure to try the sauce that’s on the table. Perfect balance of spiciness (for me) Service is great. Thanks!
