Their hot wine gave me a very bad stomachache, so stay away ! It is also way too expensive for its very low quality. The place is not very clean either. Would not recommend.

Bistros can be so-so but Bolivar is bountiful goodness. Dembe, our server, was a class act, and all the dishes were delicious. Truffle chicken, Porto sauce bavette, mushroom-garnished veal chop… all very good. Enjoy!

Just amassing! Small, topical French cafe with an amassing charm. Amassing food! Amassing staff! (at the end of the meal, we got sorbet. And I got a 0.0 one!) Everything there flirts with you and you just fall on love withe the place and everything there!

Very cozy and atmospheric place! Super friendly waiters who put effort in making your visit comfortable. The cheeseburger I had fell apart very quickly, but was one of (if not the) best burgers I ate in my life. This was a nice place to end our day with delicious dinner in a lovely atmosphere 🇫🇷❤️

this coffee is an incentive to live in its neighborhood. Quiet, peaceful, beautiful terrace for outdoor seating with great sun exposure. The personnel is very professional. the drinks are quite expensive, but it is well worth it.

Nice casual cafe on a wonderful people watching corner in Paris. I actually ended up "stuck" here for 5 hours after my Airbnb canceled on a trip to Paris so we got to try a lot of their food and drinks. Good service, and they didn't mind that we set up shop there with all of our luggage for the better half of an evening.

A-ma-zing. What a lovely place to happen upon! There's both indoor and outdoor seating (of course, it's France) but I really recommend the outdoor seating. The menu has a really wide range of prices but I went with something moderate with the 'escalope de poulet' - the one on the bottom with the truffle sauce and mashed potatoes. Escalope de poulet - the chicken was sooooo savory. Drenched in this lovely truffle cream sauce that I wish I could get the recipe for. It's also nicely browned in the pan that gives it a bit of an almost crunchy texture on the skin and a lovely soft juicy-ness on the inside. The mashed potatoes were loaded with butter and so creamy. Bread is complimentary and very french - crunchy outer and soft inner portion. You'll have to ask for oil/butter if you want any. Service is terrible - the server chatted away with a friend most of the time. Even native frenchmen couldn't get his attention for more than a few seconds - but I wasn't in a rush to get anywhere so it was alright. Price is decent especially in France if you know what to pick. Also had a glass of one of the cheapest roses on the menu which did not disappoint.

Great wait staff. All of us really enjoyed the food. Original flavors, all. Well worth the visit. Lost a star for saugy fries (common, guys!). Great experience, highly recommend.

This place is located near our residence and is open almost all day, I believe. So I went there twice and each time I felt good. The staff are friendly, and I had a good time with my uncle as a tourist. The prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is classic, and it feels cozy.

I loved the atmosphere, service and the food. The chicken steak with truffle was a bit salty for me, but overall I would give 5 stars. Friendly waiters 👍

Truly one of Paris hidden gems, had some of the greatest food of my life here and it has very nice ambience to match, especially with outdoor seating. Plan to return to Bolivar whenever I am in Paris next.

Neighbourhood café with excellent service, great vibe, and small (but delicious) menu. Three meals and one coffee in a week. Highly recommended. Will return on my next trip to Paris.

I went to Café Bolivar for lunch on June 23rd. I had good expectations but those quickly went south. The waiter took my order and there was a slight language barrier due to our different accents. I ordered the vegan burger and he even got the menu and had me point out what I want to be sure. We had both confirmed I was ordering the vegan burger and I was excited to try it. I was unpleasantly surprised when I was then brought a bacon burger. I am vegetarian for personal reasons, and for health reasons (I cannot eat meat). I kindly said that there was a mistake and this was the wrong order. He immediately got defensive and loud. Telling me exactly “It is not my fault. It is YOUR fault.” He was very passive aggressive and did not try and help. Later into the meal, where I had only eaten a few fries, I pushed the plate away from me. He passed by and seemed confused and offended that I hadn’t eaten anything. I proceeded to tell him that I cannot eat meat as I will become very sick. He then repeated his earlier statement that it was all my fault. He then aggressively walked away. I then had to pay for an overpriced burger that I hadn’t even touched. As someone who has worked in food service for several years, I was thoroughly disturbed by his behavior. He never asked if I wanted what I actually ordered, didn’t offer to replace the incorrect order, or offer to take it off the bill. There was ZERO hospitality and an alarming amount of passive aggressive behavior. And to top it all off, as I was leaving (hungry and upset), he scoffed at me and stomped away.

On my wife's first visit to Paris in October, we stumbled upon Cafe Bolivar and are we glad we did. We started out with a cup of coffee in the afternoon, and ended up coming back for dinner. She ordered pasta with truffle sauce, and I had a hamburger. The food, ambience, and service were excellent. In fact, it was the best meal we had in Paris. We came back for lunch the next day, and they did not disappoint. My wife is committed to returning to the Cafe Bolivar whenever we find a way to return to Paris,
