I recently stayed at Hotel Vaneau Saint Germain for two nights, but unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The check-in process was unpleasant as I was reprimanded for arriving an hour early and was sent away. When I finally checked in at the right time, my room was not ready, and I had to wait while the cleaning lady rushed to finish. The breakfast experience was equally disappointing. On the first morning at 9 am, half of the trays were empty, and the hotel manager had to bring croissants from a bakery to supplement the breakfast spread. The breakfast selection was small, and the quality was low, resembling pastries from a cheap supermarket, which is surprising given we were in Paris. When I asked for green tea, I was initially denied, and it only appeared after I asked again, hidden away in a cabinet in a closed box that could only be accessed by the staff. I paid £13 per person per day for breakfast, but it was not worth the cost. Any cafe in the neighborhood would have been cheaper and offered better quality. The room had a strong smell, which was confined to my room, and noise from the room next door and upstairs made it difficult to sleep, since we were able to hear conversations like if there were no walls. Additionally, the shower products were empty, which was inconvenient. During check-out, when I shared my concerns about the noise after being asked “all good with your stay?”, the response was dismissive and rude, “you must be very sensitive then”, indicating a lack of empathy from the hotel staff. This attitude was evident throughout my stay, and the hotel seemed not to care that I was traveling with a baby. The general cleanliness of the hotel was also a concern, with garbage, cleaning products, and empty boxes scattered in the narrow hallways, making it difficult to navigate with a baby. Despite having a lift, a few steps in a small stair made it inconvenient to access the lift. Overall, my stay at Hotel Vaneau Saint Germain was unsatisfactory, and I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in Paris.

Elegant and discreet, within a waking distance from metro stations. Spaces are quite limited into the rooms but the same are very comfortable and appealing. Possibility of having a continental breakfast including many foods, both salty and sweet. Drawback: the upper stages (I.e. 5th and 6th floor) are not served by the elevator, therefore it might result uncomfortable to move up, especially if you have a heavy luggage. Nearby you find many supermarkets, even bio, and many bakery shop, for eating on the run. Staff is quite nice. 7

Perfect location, offers clean and comfortable rooms, and is conveniently located near two metro stations. Plus, having supermarkets, coffee shops, and excellent restaurants in close proximity adds to its appeal. Highly recommended!

We had a perfect stay here! Our family room was spacious, well-appointed and we had no issues during our week stay. All of the staff were friendly with us, and our late(midnight) check-in was smooth and welcoming! It was great to have the refillable water bottle in our room, and also to fill our bottles for the day from their dispenser in the lobby. Would love to stay here again!

This is the PERFECT hotel for anyone looking to stay in central Paris for a solid price. Everything was clean, AC blows cold, location couldn't be better. Staff was extremely friendly. Can't wait to stay again!

Room was a little big bigger than average room size in Paris . Twin room fit me and my friend with our luggage pretty well . Air conditioning available and toilet has decent size compared to small rooms in Paris . Nothing to complain about however was a bit pricey in June I would spend the same amount somewhere closer to city center but this hotel was the best I can find in that area

Very centrally located next to the metro station. Short walk to many popular locations too. Every employee that we spoke to was friendly and helpful. Rooms cleaned daily and a healthy/tasty breakfast is served every morning. Would definitely return here again.

Very convenient area as many sightseeing areas are very accessible by foot but that would be the only notably good thing I have to say about my stay. Not all but some staff were very rude, especially the one in the cafe (not sure if it’s because I’m American and slightly uncultured but still not very acceptable). Along with the unaccommodating staff we were lied to about amenities in the room such as the air conditioning, we went two nights without it and after mentioning the room was not cooling down they were quick with an excuse, but they did give us a broken fan that was better than nothing. The provided pictures are misleading in terms of size and cleanliness of the halls. With that being said I still enjoyed my stay still as I’m not here to be in the hotel but to adventure.
