Luxury spa located in the Pan Pacific Hotel. Arrive early before your appointment to use their lounge. They have tea, coffee, and dried snacks. I received a manicure from Jean, the head manager of facial and nail department. Their nail colour selection is great. Although my nails did not cure properly, Jean called me personally to invite me back for a new set. I really appreciated this valuable customer service and how this issue was rectified. Ruby did my new set and she was lovely - very kind, meticulous, and thorough. I want to give praise to the dark skinned receptionist with short hair (Sorry, I could not get her name). She was extremely friendly and genuine from when she called me to confirm my appointment to when she took my payment. Overall, a high-class establishment with stellar customer service. I would recommend this place and will come back for facial treatment.

I have never written a review prior to attending a place, however I felt I needed to share my feedback. I booked a pedicure today for next week. I am currently 24 weeks pregnant and visiting from Calgary, so I thought Iā€™d do something special (I canā€™t reach my toes so this is much needed). I understand that this is a luxury spa, however as written in responses to other reviews, management justify this pricing because of all the special amenities they have that can be utilized prior or after the treatment (sauna, spa, showers, etc), that I simply canā€™t use because I am pregnant. I asked the receptionist (Anna?) if they can offer me a small discount considering I canā€™t use these amenities and she abruptly said ā€œno. The pricing is what it is. You can sit in our lounge, have some nuts/dried fruit, cucumber or lemon water and we offer a non-alcoholic mimosaā€. Firstly, being pregnant, Iā€™d never touch a help yourself snack that is sitting out in the open in bowls for anyone to touch and breath over. Secondly, who on earth wants a non-alcoholic mimosa as their spa drink? Even being pregnant, I wouldnā€™t drink non-alcoholic sparkling wine. Iā€™d rather politely pass. Finally, why would I spend extra time sitting in a lounge having a tea when Iā€™m just getting a pedicure? I am visiting this spa as my friend bought me a gift card that Iā€™ve been looking forward to using, but my initial impression isnā€™t great. I will update my review after I experience my $150 + Tip + Tax Pedicureā€¦.the cheapest thing I could get on the menu.

Warning. Read if youā€™re concerned about your health and safety. I received a RMT massage by Eugene. We discussed before the session started on focus areas and I very explicitly told him I do not want to have my neck area massaged. I even physically showed him which areas Iā€™m not comfortable with. At the start, I felt he got too close to my neck area and I asked him to focus lower on my shoulders. Then he went to stretch my neck by twisting my head to the opposite side, without giving me a chance to reject it. On one side, it had caused pain and I immediately asked him to stop. After the service, I asked him if there was any concern to the pain I felt and he responded that well I felt the pain, so Iā€™m not dead. WOW, Iā€™ve never been talked to in this way in such a vulnerable state at that. I had also requested for work on my lower back, to which he didnā€™t focus on at all. Iā€™ve had regular RMTs for the last 10 years and safe to say, this was the worst experience. Less importantly, just as I was about to get on the table for my massage, I found someone elseā€™s fake eyelash on my head cradle. I went outside and found my partnerā€™s RMT who was extremely apologetic of it. However my RMT Eugene didnā€™t even apologize for this and carried on like nothing happened. I sat in their lounge extremely uncomfortable and couldnā€™t even enjoy the rest of the spa day (which I was there for my birthday). I finally mustered the courage to speak to the manager who tried to make it right by not charging me for the service and she was very pleasant and understanding through listening to my situation. All in all, I wouldnā€™t step foot back in here. Aside from the poor RMT experience, the price point is far too high for what you get out of it. The place is looking very outdated and thereā€™s no spa etiquette upheld so itā€™s nearly impossible to relax. Also, I question just how clean and hygienic this place is. One of the washrooms in the womenā€™s change room has pink scum all around the toilet bowl, looked like it hadnā€™t been cleaned for weeks.

Would exercise great caution before coming to this spa. The steam room is tiny, much like your small closet pantry, fitting only up to 4 people at a time. It was not clean and thereafter we went to the lounge where they served apple juice, nuts and dried fruit. Don't expect more. 'RMT' gave such an awful massage I stopped her 5 minutes in and told her I wanted to speak with a manager. I met with the manager who listened but at the same time she was very combative. i did not get charged for lack of a massage and I paid for my friend's. My friend said the massage was no better than the one she gets from her RMT down the street from her house. I'm disappointed and embarrassed to have brought my friend here whom I wanted to have a great experience. $200 for a massage, Shameful and disappointing since this facility is connected to a nice hotel. Do not take the disappointing reviews lightly. Go on Yelp and other review sites, you will see the same. The more recent reviews are more relevant.

Great facility under the Pan Pacific for some self care spa day treatment. Easily booked a 50 minute massage online for me and my wife. Pro tip: indicate in the notes for a couples massage otherwise default is separate rooms. Located close to Waterfront station. Expensive downtown parking garage also downstairs. The spa is located on the CS level (cruise ship). Staff were friendly and offered a tour once checked in. Men's change room area had lockers, showers, steam and sauna room, and stocked with toiletries. Women's is the same. Recommend to arrive early to change into robe and enjoy chilling in the relaxation area. Complimentary tea, juice, and snacks. Return here after treatment and be sure to finish with steam room or sauna. We had an excellent day. Our RMTs were amazing and listened to our needs. Spa Utopia Pan Pacific charges slightly more than their other two locations.

I had a massage booked 2 weeks ago, management not front desk, management decided to call me day of my appointment an hour and 10 minutes before my scheduled appointment to let me know that whom I booked with called in sick. I explained to her that it takes me 50minutes to drive there and I was already on my way. As she was talking to me she kept talking to a gentlemen in the spa at the same time kept telling me to hold on and was talking to us both at the same time? Now first of all you called me to tell me sheā€™s called in sick and the lack of respect you gave me over the phone is so unprofessional. If you were talking to me finish our conversation not keep interrupting and talk to someone else and keep telling me to hold on? I was recommend a specific person as my regular guy no longer works at this location so obviously I donā€™t want to be booked with some random person. This is why I booked with a specific person. I use to come to this location often went out of my way to drive to this specific spa. I will not be returning you will no longer get my money/business you need to brush up on how to treat and speak to your regular clients. You never offered any kind of extra perk for the inconvenience, just a later appointment that didn't work for me. The short notice is what was really triggering. An hour before my appointment. Really? Your response was just a ok you canā€™t do those times, no big deal. You didnā€™t care. Youā€™re incredibly unprofessional. This spa is not how it use to be. Pre-covid it was good. Now you couldnā€™t pay me to come to this location.

Way overpriced and not what a "luxury spa" should be. We paid 226 each for a 50 minute RMT even though on our receipt its 60 minutes (very sneaky). The lounge is a few sofas and tables with chairs where you can drink water with cucumber or almonds and dried fruit that cost pennies. I've had better snacks in a dentist waiting room. The sauna and steam room is very small. I suppose it's better than nothing but the shower products are extremely poor quality. my skin and eyes are itchy after using the products and the razors are 1 blade. Who the hell uses a 1 blade razor? The RMT itself was below average. Not my main area of frustration but I was expecting a better experience outside of the massage.

I had a really good time, I went with my boyfriend because you can spend the money for the insurance with the massage. It was wonderful!! Mark and Megan were fabulous. My boyfriend fell asleep šŸ˜“ and I was enjoying the 50-minutes massage. The sauna is in the washroom. It is small but smells good. The location is pretty, and it has a European design.

All the people working here are great! The spa was kept clean and welcoming. I had the Royal massage 100min treatment. It was very relaxing. You are encouraged to use the dry steam room or relax and have a tea and snacks while waiting for you treatment and the a glass of wine afterward. The only downside I see here was the fee to use the pool and hot tub as they are not a part of spa utopia but belong to the hotel. Also the site mentioned that the opening hours are 10am when at 930 you are able to relax and enjoy before your treatment. All in all a good experience but could have been better.

Went there with my daughter for Hot Stone Massages - both had horrible experiences with the treatments, the Director of Spa Uptopia offered complimentary treatments to redeem our experience. Which we were thankful for, however, the treatments were worse than the first time. We will never go back there, very expensive for very bad and disappointing treatments.

Wonderful experience. Be sure to come early to take advantage of the lounge, the steam bath, and the showers. My massage was fantastic. Anabelle, I believe. The pedicure was also great. Especially the foot massage.

5 Stars to RMT Stephanie Walker who provided stellar massage on my sore shoulder blades and lower back! Highly recommend her even though doing so will decrease her availability to me LOL. Steam and sauna room were sparking clean and wonderfully hot. The seasonal cranberry mimosa and snacks were gravy on a supremely relaxing afternoon of self care.

Massage with Allison was great. However, loud construction noise next to my massage room the entire session was very disruptive and provided an unrelaxing experience. Unfortunately desk staff did not respond constructively or proactively when I addressed this with them. I also noticed that amenities are slightly scaled back compared to previous visits (e.g. bathroom toiletries and sundries provided, refreshments) even though rates have increased overall. Would hesitate to return or recommend given the less than ideal experience for rate paid. Update: Diane, the general manager, reached out to me shortly after I provided survey feedback to try to rectify the issue. I have increased my rating to 4 stars (from 3) due to her professionalism and method of managing the problem.

Ruby was great, wonderful personality and for my first pedicure I was very pleased. Kazumi gave me an exceptional massage. I have a cervical issue going on and she relaxed me so much I was put into that in between sleep and wake for most of it. The spa itself was great, the decor, the drinks and the staff made this a wonderful experience

I donā€™t normally leave reviews on bad experiences, and I apologize in advance for leaving this one, but I had to be honest with my experience. My friends and I were hoping to get a birthday gift for a friend and decided on this spa, and to also do a spa getaway together for her bday. Upon seeing the prices of the menu of services at Pan Pacific Spa Utopia, I decided on a pedicure because it seemed the cheapest of the options. Iā€™ve gotten many pedicures in my life and have never seen a price this high. I figured it must be the best pedicure you could ever get. Upon arrival the woman was kind and asked me what I wanted with my toes. I asked to a regular pedicure as I ordered. She spent a while on various parts of the pedicure, but nothing special. When she did get to painting, I felt like she didnā€™t do a very good job in coverage. I didnā€™t get a hot towel or anything like thatā€¦ maybe a minor massage but I wasnā€™t impressed. I even noticed a lot of the dirt was left under my nails and painted over. I felt like it was a very basic, low end pedicure, not at all worth what I paid. At the end I was so floored by the cost. 139$ for that kind of treatment was insane. Iā€™m sure you can use the facilities and thatā€™s why they charge you, but after our nails we were told not to use the steam room or sauna because they were concerned our nails might bubble? Anyway, about two hours after my pedicure I noticed it was already chipping anywayā€¦. Personally, I would not return to this facility based on the price of their pedicure. I have gotten pedicures 1/3 of the price that have been better than this business. Sure, the snacks and everything is nice, but thatā€™s an insane overcharge. I know some wonderful people work at this establishment (I met some great people today) but I donā€™t think the price reflects what is given. Iā€™m so sorry to say that as the people are lovely! But it is an insane price for the majority of the services given, and I am sorry to leave a negative review, but here I am. Inflation is crazy, but better places have popped up all over the downtown area that are half this price and just as good, and Iā€™d go there instead. If youā€™re willing to spend more, get a massage or something, but donā€™t go for the pedicure. But donā€™t take the negative reviews lightly- they are true.

Went here and got a massage and manicure done. Everyone there is very friendly and professional! Overall had a great experience. However after driving home I noticed that my gel manicure was already chipping in a few places. ( nothing of note that wouldā€™ve scratched the nails) Being one of the most expensive manicures Iā€™ve ever had I was hoping for better results on the polish. I called and they were able to get me in for a repair a few days later which was great. Although I notice now there is a lot more chips, I think the polish might just not be strong enough?

Had the best massage Iā€™ve ever had today here. I myself am a registered massage therapist for over 25 years and am very picky when it comes to massage. Tom was professional, personable and gave the best massage Iā€™ve had in 25 years hands down. The entire facility was superbā€¦. Very clean and relaxing as a spa should be. The eucalyptus steam was a treat! Thank you so much to everyone there but especially Tom!

I feel quite disappointed in my experience. I went for a manicure for my birthday and not even 24 hours later two of the nails chipped. By 48 hours the gel polish was gone on the 2 fingers. I spoke with the manager who kindly offered me the chance to have my gel manicure redone the following week at no cost, stating it was likely that the polish didnā€™t cure properly. The next week I went again once again the gel polish within 24 hours chipped. Iā€™ve never had this happen before with a gel manicure, let alone twice! What I find so frustrating is that the cost of a manicure is $115 at Spa Utopia and it simply isnā€™t good quality. Truly not worth getting a manicure here- so many other wonderful spots in the city at a fraction of the price that actually lasts!

Oh how we have missed this great pampering and excellent massages. Special shout out to Beverly, for making sure we are so well looked after. It was a great way to enjoy my 75th birthday.
