Although the admission fee is a bit high, it is an excellent place to spend a whole day. I highly recommend the wonder section if you have a kid below six: there are so many things for them to play with, and they sure will wish to stay and play there forever. There is also a special T-Rex exhibition until January next year; it is worth a visit for dinosaur lovers.

It’s an amazing place for everyone! From babies to grandparents, everyone will have a good time here. Don’t miss the presentations. We saw a very interesting one about electricity and another about cold temperatures. They will advise about the presentations on the speakers, but you also may plan ahead and check the times when you get there.

I came with my daughter during spring break and she had an absolute blast. So did I. To see her light up like that was amazing. She’s 3 and a half and had such a good time. Even post pandemic craziness it wasn’t that bad. I recommend going in the afternoon it seemed to slow down

Great fun for all ages! Kids will probably enjoy it most but as an adult it was still interesting to do and a great thing to do while in the gross weather. It would be cool to see some newer more fun exhibits like I have in the past but what they had was still very informative and I learned a few new things!

It is wonderful for kids because there are lots of fun games that can teach them science, but not as much for adults. I thought it was more a museum type of thing, but I was mistaken. I think it is an amazing place to go if you have children between six and 12. They will enjoy it for sure. It is not an adult solo activity.

Always a great time for kids and adults. The facilities are quite large including a Triple O’s and theater. It’s clean, safe and well kept. If you would like to see more in-depth reviews, please follow my account.

If you have a baby and live close by, get a membership! I am here at least once if not twice a week. The wonder lab upstairs is the best for babies and kids up to 5 years old. There is SO much to do and so many sensory installations to interact with. My toddler's most favorite installation is the big lite bright wall! She is obsessed with it and MUST interact with the wall every time we go. The other fun installation for her (14 months) that she enjoys a lot is the water fountain. The Wonder Lab has a nursing room as well as a washroom with a kids toilet. This is the only washroom in Science World that has a kids toilet btw.

Amazing place for children of all ages, including toddlers. The place also impressed me as an adult. Lots of games for kids, a dinosaur exhibit, a movie theater and a perfect playground for toddlers that includes water games, a sandbox and more (need to pre-register on the waiting list). The place is 1 minute walk from the canada line station on main street. Highly recommended.

The dinosaurs love tasty children for snacks 😜 T Rex exhibit is well worth a visit for adults and children. Sorely disappointed the planetarium isn't open yet, so there's very little else to keep adults interested. Accessibility is excellent, and easy wheelchair access from the train and transit. For those with sensory issues it was loud and I couldn't find a peaceful spot to escape to. Highly recommended for families, especially those looking to feed the dinosaurs...

Took my 2 year old niece to Science World. 2 and under were free which was nice but it is over $30 per adult which is a pricey. We went tor over 2 hours and my niece was entertained and enjoyed it. We arrived around 10 and it was busy but not too bad. An hour later and the traffic picked up for sure. Lots of activities for children of all ages. We didn’t even see half of it. We had to leave after a couple hours and it was nap time for her. Thought she might be afraid of the T Rex exhibit as my niece was only 2 but she led us into the exhibit and she enjoyed it. This exhibit were the only photos I posted as my niece was in all the others. I’d recommend but it not sure I’d go back again anytime soon because of the price for adults.

Excellent place to learn the basics of science for adults. A must do activity with children as it is fun learning. It teaches children the basic science knowledge with so many fun activities. Shows are also fun to watch and participate. It is a whole day activity. Although discounted ticket after 5pm but o think 3 hours is not enough so starting early and spending the entire day in the museum is the best way to explore all the activities.

Looks pretty cool from the outside but not so great once you're inside. This place felt like a children's science fair minus the explanations on why things work the way they do. We stayed for about two hours as we'd already paid for it and wanted to get some of the money's worth but were very disappointed. We usually enjoy going to museums and science academies but this place doesn't offer much to the curious mind. Overall, I don't recommend going here especially with no kids in your group. Even with kids, you'll be on your own coming up with answers to their questions because the science behind no activity has been explained properly here.

Bring the kids and get ready for chaos lol. The fun starts before you walk in the door with a cool display just outside the door. Got thru the ticket line in minutes. The theater doubles down as a quiet zone which was wonderful after the wall of noise everywhere else. The displays were great, the technology was cool and it was a fun time. Views from the back were gorgeous.

Omg my 2 year old had so much fun here. I really didn't think there would be enough there to hold her attention but they have so many activities for toddlers it was amazing. It's really hard to find indoor spaces for my toddler to enjoy and science world is top notch when it comes to learning and sensory play :)

My daughter has loved this place since she turned one. Great place for exploratory play and running around on rainy days (or even sunny ones as there's an amazing outdoor public park for the times the outdoor exhibits are closed). There's also an upstairs eating area and White Spot for snack and lunch time. We usually stay half a day and pause every hour for snack and lunch. Also really fun to visit with parent friends as there's plenty of space for the kiddos to explore while you chat. 😊

Science World Vancouver is an absolutely wonderful place to visit and spend time. There are a lot of activities to do indoors that are related to science and there are a lot of interactive things to do as well. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience for the children as well as adults. We really didn't know how the 2 hours we spent there whizz by. Ideally you would need a 3 to 4 hour window to experience everything. Definitely visiting again.

Amazing place for kids and also parents to play, learn and have fun. Loved it and bought the annual pass for 2024. The only thing is the daily pass parking that is a bit pricey ($16.5) in addition to other expenses.

My kids (4 and 2) loved it. We went on a Thursday afternoon. There were only a handful of people so there was a lot of space to walk around and easy to adhere to social distancing. They also kept the facility really clean and I noticed employees regularly sanitizing everything. There seemed to be a sanitizing station every corner, too! Overall, it was a great experience and would recommend families with kids to go there and have an awesome time out.

Lovely. Beautifully designed and executed. It was super entertaining and even educational to us as a group of adults. Due to Covid-19, it wasn’t too busy. You can still interact with their setups. There are lots of sanitization stations around and staff were constantly disinfecting surfaces.

Plenty of things to see and learn. Mostly for children but grown-ups will enjoy too. #ScienceCommunication #KnowledgeTranslation done by experts. Perfect activity for a rainy day, both for tourists and locals... and could of course work on a sunny day too, if a visit to the nearby playground is part of the itinerary.

To be honest I did not expect much from this museum, however, my expectations were exceeded. It took us good 3 hours to walk all around the science museum. Cafeteria is not working at this moment (August 2021) so please bring your snacks, lunch with you to the museum.

One of My kids favorite place in Vancouver. It has been 2 years we haven’t been there due to Covid 19. Today we book earliest appointment to there since it was open for members. There was Dinosaur exhibition to introduce more detail about dinosaurs generation which is new to Science world. There are some new activities on the second floor and first floor, such as climbing wall, push up hanging bar . This is very good place to spend time with kids and learn the nature science knowledge. We spent 4 hours there today. Really suggest to purchase membership if you have intended to visit here monthly. Really good deal. When we step out science world around 1:40PM there was long line to entrance in. If you have enough time suggest you book early morning appointment not many people. too many people in the afternoon.

Perfect place to bring kids young and old, lots to discover and do and endless entertainment. Can be very busy at times so try to go early or on a weekday for the best experience. Also very expensive unless you get a yearly pass.

It is a lovely place to bring young kids. My son always finds something entertaining to do. We bought passes and come here 1-2 a month, and he still loves it. If you've never tried it and have young kids, they will have a blast. I would honestly buy the yearly pass for 1 adult and child if you plan on going more than once.

What a wonderful place for children and adults alike. Easily accessible by transit, bike or car. Incredible variety of activities - loved that it was very hands-on. Children can touch and manipulate almost everything. My kids couldn't even decide what their favourite part was. We watched a science presentation on balloons which was very engaging (even kept my three year old's attention). There is a snack bar and restaurant inside. More activities can also be found outside - including a playground. I would say expect to spend the better part of the day exploring.

Definitely a one-and-done experience. This was my second time visiting after about 5 years. Our party sped through most of the regular exhibits as they were primarily occupied by children who were not well mannered and had no spacial awareness. While this is not the fault of Science World, it definitely impacted our experience. We spent most of our time in the T-Rex exhibit, which is PHENOMENALLY well done! The life-sized models and displays were incredibly engaging and educational. Extra points for variety of dinosaurs depicted within the exhibit

Even the admission fee is pretty high but it's worth every cent because we had so much fun there for the whole family, fun place for all ages. We were there over 4 hrs and can't visit every room yet so recommend to plan to spend the whole day there. Bring your snacks, foods or they have snacks bar and triple O burger inside. Our first time we didn't know so next time we know what we have to bring with us. Recommend to visit even once because many things you might not know before, fun place indeed. All the staffs were so nice and helpful plus knowledge. See you again

Worth every cent! We spent hours exploring all the interactive demos here. Incredible place of fun and learning for kids of all ages. We took in 3 live science shows/experiments. There was plenty of space to sit and have some snacks and sandwiches for lunch but there are also take out options to buy inside. Bathrooms were clean and lockers conveniently located for hanging coats and excess kid paraphernalia. Money we’ll spent!

FYI - Sooo worth getting a 1 year family pass versus just a day pass. Family pass is 2 adults and up to 4 kids for a full year. Wish we were able to add our kids cousins to the membership but I understand why not. Bathrooms are meticulously clean and taken care of. Of course, different when it gets busy like when there's a bunch of field trips on the same day as a pro d day. Or a weekend. Membership hack: memberships expire at the end of the same month you purchased your passes on ( so valid more than 365 days depending on purchase date) For example, I bought my pass on May 3rd, 2023. It is valid until May 31, 2024. This might work out if you buy it December 2 and it expires on Dec 31st. You'd be able to enjoy the Christmas season twice there on the same membership!! You'd have a blast, at any age so why not!

A must visit when in Vancouver, especially with kids. The entrance fee is worth it, although it would be nice to have a family discount for single tickets. There are stage shows, exhibits (We had a James Cameron one) and so many hands on displays for the kids and adults to try. There is an outdoor area too, so don't forget to check it out. The "Chill" in the theater area is literally just a place to chill and relax and not a show

Great science museum for kids. There are a lot of science games here but it has a great balance between play an learning. A lot of fun for kids. It is quite crowded on weekends. I heard parking is 21 CAD. You can come by public transport to avoid this or park. For 16 CAD in the nearby main street parking.

pretty good science museum and very interactive. a very popular place in Vancouver judging by the number of people + kids on a saturday afternoon. Pricing was also very reasonable with canadian dollars. there was also a timely and interactive show/demonstration where one of the staff would present a science experiment or two in the main foyer. very entertaining. there is snack and 'theme park' type food available in the cafe as well - burgers, fries, hot dogs, etc. Not 5 star by any means, but pretty convenient for the location. We stayed on the other side of town off of Hornby, so it was very easy to take the water taxi across for a short walk back.

We had a great time at science world. I was a parent chaperone for a band trip. A bunch of grade 12 students and us. We had a blast. I'd been there a few years ago but they change it so much. I would definitely recommend this for an afternoon especially if you're visiting the area and won't have another chance.

Despite the pandemic, this is a nice place to take your kids. They operate on a reservation system and people generally do keep distant from one another. A few issues: they're closed Monday and Tuesday. We paid for a family membership and aren't getting much use out of it as I'm with my children on Mondays and can't take them there. The exhibits can also be repetitive after a few times. One of the exhibits (forgot the name but it's the fun one for little tots) requires an additional and separate reservation to access (so reserve there first and then check out the other exhibits before returning)

After hearing so many great things about Star of the Sea School, our family couldn’t wait for our oldest to start Kindergarten. Five years later, we continue to be impressed by the quality of education, dedication of the teachers and the leadership of the principal. The biggest surprise though, was the sense of community and school spirit that SOS brought out in us and our kids. Go Stars!

An overzealous security guard demanded I stop taking pictures of the building during sunset even though I explained I was taking pictures of the surrounding landscapes and was not particularly focused on Science World. I live down the street and have never been told to not take pictures of Science World before. Is it now a top secret military installation? Meanwhile, the guard completely ignored a drunk homeless guy smoking weed on the property and who was yelling at walkers and joggers...

Quite small compared to other science centers, and it felt like a kid's playground. If you are an adult, don't come here. The upstairs portion was closed (assumed for covid), and so was the theatre, and the outdoors section. All of the sections were laughably small. Good for kids, no for adults, or anyone that has been to another science center.

Great experience young and old... my daughters loved it. 5 and 7... There were even things for adults to find appealing. (Translated by Google) Lots of activities, for both young and old alike. (Original) Beaucoup d'activités, aussi bien pour les plus jeunes que pour les moins jeunes.

Great place for families to bring their children but not for adults too much. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Just missed the Lego display. Beside that I love it and have since I was a child. So many hands on things to do. Fun for all ages. Love the shows and the sperm game.

Great place to take younger kids. Lots of hands on exhibits and puzzles/games. Most kids from 3 to 103 years old would find entertainment.

There are some attractions closed due to pandemic, however the place is fun and the staff friendly and helpful. The tickets are quite expensive. You have the option to purchase online or presential. The access is affordable by sky train.

An amazing place to visit once every few months(or as often as you like), especially if you have kids. Numerous small fun activities and games for kids that adults can try and enjoy as well. If you have a curious child, they will learn a lot while having fun. There's a store to buy cool science stuff. The 'Eureka' section was my favorite with science based games that you will never get bored of in one visit. The optimal amount of time spent at Science World to enjoy it fully is around 3 hours on the first visit. There's a theatre for interesting stage shows, quite a few games to test your (and your kids') physical and mental strengths, a section for 'human body' and many more things to see and learn about. 10/10,would definitely recommend!

Science world was so much fun I wish I got more photos and wish we had time to go into the area for Littles that required a booked time. So much for the kids to do and see 2 hrs was not long enough.

It’s popular during vacation, weekends, or holidays! It is close to Skytrain, a bus station, or a ferry. You can see people holding events or doing some activities around here!! Parking ✅ I know there is a parking area close to Main Street.

We were worried we would be underwhelmed since this museum says it's geared toward kids, but us three 30-somethings loved it! We spent a lot of our time on the first floor playing games. We managed to miss the physics/light/sound area until just before close and had to rush through, but I would have loved to spend more time there.

One of the best science museums I've visited - high levels of engagement and interactivity for kids, and chock-full of well presented science facts for all. We went on a Friday (but it was a school holiday), it was packed and v busy but people were moving along the exhibits and didn't feel too crowded. There's a good burger joint at the entrance for refuelling.

One can spend hours here without getting bored, especially if you love science, dinosaurs or sculptures. The place has a lot to offer for people of all age groups in terms of learning. I visited there last week and I was amazed especially looking at those dinosaur structures. There’s still more to see there, will visit over and over again for sure.

Spectacular and phenomenal!! If you want to build a world class edifice then travel the world and add the pieces together in one place. This place has so much fun and science related activities and things to see and do. Great accessibility too for baby strollers throughout the building.

This place is an amazing place to visit with your kids. Children ages do not matter, 3 years old or 50 (it is not mistaken, i am 50 years old, but there are a lot of things to learn) , and there are several options for any age group. you need to make arrangements for at least 2 hours but believe me, your kids want to stay there all day.

Great place to spend 4-6 hours with kids aged 2-10. Strollers are allowed inside. There’s places to eat (Triple Os and general snack bar for frozen treats). There’s limited parking available so recommend taking the skytrain.

I've been taking my toddler to the Vancouver Aquarium for the past couple of years which is great by the way! However, this year, I decided to try out Science World, and I must say it was a great decision. Science World is an amazing place, and I wish I had visited earlier, but better late than never. The variety of fun activities for kids is astounding. They offer captivating little science projects that are not only appealing to children but also interesting for adults. It's the kind of place where your child never gets tired of playing and is continually amazed by everything they discover. Oh, and I shouldn't forget to mention the Triple O's Science world restaurant there; it's really good. The staff at Science World are incredibly friendly, which adds to the overall positive experience. I can't stress enough how much I recommend Science World and have already been encouraging my friends to get annual passes as well. Getting an annual pass allows you to keep going back and explore all the different rooms and exhibitions over time. It's an excellent investment for both fun and learning.

This is a fun place to go for all ages. I have brought my son several times over the years starting at the age of 3 and there has been lots for him to do and see. It’s really informative and allows you to explore by doing a variety of activities. There really is something for everyone and a fun way to spend time in the city. The location is great and easy to get to by transit. I also live in False Creek and have enjoyed the new exterior light instalment. So bright and beautiful! The only critique I have is that there is limited food options available. They do have a TripleO’s but it has been really hit and miss as to when they are open.

One of my favorite Science Museums in North America. Multiple floors and multiple science shows on the “Center Stage”. There are several exhibits that are rotated out every few months. This has a lot of great tactile exhibits which is great for hands on learning. There is an early morning opening for neurodiverse attendees that benefit from less people while exploring the museum. This museum is very close to the expo line and easy to get to. Buying tickets in advance is not required, though ensures entry and availability.

A fantastic and fun experience of science! There was so much to do, and the galleries and exhibits were well done and engaging. Honestly, Science World is for all ages! I highly recommend you to go! It's such fun we you go with family, friends or as a school!

Had such a great time! Was visiting the Vancouver area and we decided to stop at science world. Despite us being older than the usual age group we enjoyed the information and hands on activities they had to offer.
