This has always been one of my favourite beaches in Vancouver. This is where they hold the summer fireworks every year. Located Down at the bottom of Davie st, or you car drive around Stanley park and get here. Palm trees are planted everywhere Awsome views of the rocks when the tide is out the ocean and all the large ships. Yes there lots of logs to sit on all down the beach (HUGE) washrooms. There are large bronze status of all these guys making weird hand gestures and faces on the other side of the street, and a hole bunch of flag polls with diffrent flags. The Cactus club is right near the beach and other food places available. There is A paved walkway that goes all the way along the beach and into Stanley park. This beach is a gem 💎 definitely worth checking out 💯💯

Very nice view and wonderful, beautiful scenery and an awesome walk. Some animals will come up to you like one fella did. Please respect the wildlife and the areas surrounding them.

We like to go there. We went many times already since we moved here because it was my husband favorite beach when he used to live in that area. We like to rent bicycles and go to Stanly park then back to take a rest at the beach. We just had a wonderful night watched fireworks so gorgeous sunset. We always got lucky to find parking spot so no problem for us. Perfect beach to relaxing for the whole family

Awesome beach to go on a walk or enjoy on the logs or benches. There's plenty of area too! Plenty of places to get food regardless of the day. Definitely recommend seeing the sunset here!

I visited English Bay for the first time last summer. This is my favourite beach so far. There is a lot of sand, sea shells, seaweed and the water is cristal clear. I also met a latin lady who was selling delicious food from her colorful truck and I had a nice conversation with her. Very friendly and welcoming! I recommend this place 100%!

What better than listening to the ocean and enjoying the sunshine at English Bay Beach! Whether you want to go for a jog, meditate or do yoga on the beach, or goof around and let the mind wander … the options are limitless! A must go if visiting downtown Vancouver.

Very busy beach with a gorgeous sunset. Loads of people sit on tree trunks and play loud music. It’s not a relaxing spot but nice to see people having fun, playing volleyball etc.

There have been many summer nights where friends and I have sat on the beach and watched a firework shows. We always find that is it is relaxing and we never want to leave. The beach is kept very clean and it is fun to spend an afternoon soaking up the sun. I can’t wait to summer as this will be one of my first stops.

My favorite stroll right now is to walk from English Bay to Coal Harbor (Harbour) at night. English Bay is a signature Vancouver thing. Not the most beautiful or the cleanest, but it’s a staple bay in the Vancouver area—one of those places you just have to cross of your list. And if interested, there are lots of restaurants and coffee shops on the nearby Denman St, not the fanciest in town but still good!

Beautiful place to relax and watch the hustle bustle. It is a great place for everyone - friends, family, kids and little doggos ( on leash ). If you fancy a dip in these hot days - well, look no further. I love to come here and read. Sometimes, I come here just watching people hurriedly coming and going, trying to imagine what their life is like, what their worries and happiness are tied to. Nice place to frequent if you live downtown.

Great place if you wanna go on a walk by the beach. They have logs you can sit on as well and there's a Starbucks nearby too. At the moment they have a stranded part of a ship which is a pretty cool view, they do have security though so you can't come too close to it. Recommend you go here as often as possible!

Keep walking towards Stanley Park and you will find this gem 🌺🌷 There is a new beach that is only accessible during low tide. If you are lucky you will get to experience the live music and dance. You can also watch the sunset from here.

Love the sunsets , ❤️ always. One of the prettiest sunsets in Canada , specially when there are some clouds around. A must visit when you may be in Vancouver or BC in general. Great variety of restaurants for formal or casual dining / take out. Vegi and Halal shops abound. Budget at least couple of hours for a long walk and sit at the beach 🏖 to soak in the sun set. Visiting this place for past 49 years and not tired of it at all. Stay blessed and Enjoy it.

Stunning spot anytime of year for a walk around the sea wall. Don’t miss the sculptures and view points looking out towards the barges with the city skyline in the background. English Bay Beach itself is spacious with a good balance of sand, rocks to sit on, and benches. There are several restaurants and food kiosks (especially in the summer months). There are also ample public restrooms along the seawall, and close to the beach.

English Bay and Sunset Beach in Vancouver, British Columbia, are two iconic waterfront locations that offer a perfect blend of natural beauty, vibrant events, and delicious dining options. During the annual Festival of Lights, the area comes alive with dazzling fireworks that light up the night sky and create a magical atmosphere. This much-anticipated event draws locals and tourists alike, making it a spectacle not to be missed. The dining scene around English Bay and Sunset Beach is diverse and delightful. You can find various restaurants offering a range of cuisines, from fresh seafood to international fare. For those seeking a more casual experience, there are numerous small dining options, including food trucks and beachside cafes, serving up delicious treats to enjoy while taking in the breathtaking views. The area is also known for its accessibility to the famous Vancouver Seawall, a scenic bike and pedestrian path that winds its way along the waterfront. This makes it a perfect spot for leisurely strolls, bike rides, or jogging, allowing visitors to take in the stunning vistas of the ocean and the city scape. Throughout the year, English Bay and Sunset Beach host several events that add to their charm. The annual Gay Pride Parade is a lively celebration of diversity and acceptance, bringing together people from all walks of life to celebrate love and equality. Additionally, various marathons and sporting events take place, adding an active and vibrant energy to the area. For those seeking a serene spot to relax and unwind, both beaches provide an excellent opportunity to watch the beautiful sunset over the Pacific Ocean. The tranquil setting and soothing sounds of the waves crashing against the shore make it a perfect place to reflect and appreciate nature's beauty. Music enthusiasts will be delighted by the annual Orchestra in the Park event organized by the Vancouver Symphony. This outdoor concert allows visitors to enjoy a symphonic performance amid the lush greenery of the park, creating a harmonious union of music and nature. While English Bay and Sunset Beach offer an unforgettable experience, it's essential to remember to be responsible visitors. The area's beauty should be preserved for future generations, so it's crucial for people to pick up their garbage and maintain the pristine surroundings. Overall, English Bay and Sunset Beach are fantastic places to show visitors the best of what Vancouver has to offer. With their stunning views, lively events, delicious dining options, and access to the scenic Seawall and bike trail, these beaches provide an all-encompassing experience for everyone to enjoy.

Ugh, I just love love love it here. One of my favourite places in Vancouver. Walking along the sea wall is so insanely beautiful. A wide path leads you all along the ocean. I walked for over an hour without needing to stop (I turned around but there was so much path still ahead), lots of space to walk around slower moving people, and they have biking lanes once you’re away from the main beach areas. Do yourself a favour - plan a few hours out for here. You will not regret it 🤍

We love to walk our dog along English Bay on a nice evening, except weekends when it's very busy. The sunset view never lets me down. A really great place to enjoy a sunset and some good vibes. I just wish people would clean up after themselves and leave the beach how they found it. The police and park rangers are also very serious about removing people from the beach after dark, with groups of them on ATV's, boats and on foot directing people to leave.

In the heart of Vancouver Downtown you find this most refreshing beach which has its own calm in the chaos. Always happening with people playing around, enjoying the weekend lunch with family on the green patches across the beach or just watching the ever changing picturesque views of the ocean. The long beach not only offers the thoughtful walks but also the most blissful sunsets.

It's a cool place for enjoying open water and having a pleasant walk along the beach. Amazing contrast between harbor and urban downtown sceneries. The proximity to Denman St's eating places makes the chillaxin on the beach even more enjoyable 😀. The mid summer firework festivals are fun and very spectacular. Great place 🥰

Literally the best sunset I have ever seen in my life. Most romantic way to watch the day end. Tons of restaurants nearby or an LC if you want to grab some drinks. Water is cold as all get out in Sept but a therapeutic dip to practice your deep breathing and meditation. Cannot believe this sunset.

The beach and sand itself is so so but the view is amazing. Very cool vibe during the summer. Lots of restaurants, cafes and ice cream shops nearby. Highly recommended to go for a run here. The nearby bella gelato is a must try after a hot day on the beach

This is my most favourite Beach in Vancouver. Always try to reach early in the morning when there is less crowd and you can peacefully enjoy the beach. Mind you the water is freezing but you can try your nerves if you are up for it😆 Fantastic place to spend the day an hour any amount of time you have here. One of the fun ways is to scoot in summer all the way from the Stanley park sea wall or Canada place and enjoy the breathtaking views of the sea 🌊 We always take the transit here so no worries about parking but if you reach early there is ample parking around the neighbourhood. Loads of small food joints to restaurants bustling with energy and joy. Great pubs for you to hang out with friends. It give you a perfect holiday vibe without travelling far away. There is something for everyone here. A must see when in Vancouver.

I came at this side of Vancouver for some work. I was totally new in this city. I didn't expect to see this beauty has been waiting for me. I sat on one of the benches. It was a breezy afternoon, but I wanted to drown in nature so I braved the cold winds. It was worth it. The leaves of the trees were calming enough to relieve my stress. I enjoyed seeing people with their pets walking along. The beaming sunlight touched my heart in a positive way. I will be back for sure and will take my daughter with me. 🌞☘️

English Bay never fails to impress me. Every time I visit, it greets me with a new and captivating look that keeps me coming back for more. The constant evolution of this place ensures that each visit is a unique and memorable experience. It’s a place that never grows repetitive, always delighting me with its ever-changing charm.

English bay has a beautiful coast and is part of Vancouver. It has a unique and very large space where a large crowd can gather. Last night I went to English Bay for the fireworks of the Philippines and it was great in every way. Except for the toilets that were placed there, because it was not logical at all in relation to the crowd and there were hundreds of queues behind the toilets. Of course, this case I mentioned is related to the times when a big event happens in English bay, otherwise everything is fine. I will post some videos of the Philippines fireworks last night and Mexico fireworks last Wednesday.

Absolutely beautiful sandy beach with so much to do. From a bike/walking path along it to volley ball. The water was warm and perfect for a dip, It was my first time there so it was qute nice to find such a beautiful beach to hang out with friends and watch an amazing sunset. The are good trucks if you get hungry. The only negative I could see was not that many bathrooms but I didn't actually go foo far down to really know how many there are and there was not a line so there could be many more than I saw. 1 up though for seeing a family of Geese with their babies ❤️

Wonderful spot in the summer. If you are downtown Vancouver you have to come for the sunset. Great people watching spot. Lots of good places around to grab a meal or snack. Can't miss!

Fantastic place to make a beach day with plenty of great restaurants nearby!! Beach is quite large so finding a spot with room is pretty easy and they do events here occasionally too.

Beautiful view of the nature. My favorite spot to watch sunset. The bad thing is the smell of weed in the evening. Yet, the location is worth a visit and you will not regret. The benches can be fully occupied in that prime time, so bringing a mattres and sitting on a sand is a great alternatives.
