A lovely park area in the city. Close to the dog beach, steps away from Cornwall dotted by restaurants, parking lot and street parking anf right along the transit route. Grassy area for picnics, beach for playing and tanning with a great view of the mountains. public tennis and basketballs courts for sports enthusiasts.

Beautiful beach which is not crowded on weekdays. There are several beach volleyball courts, but they are usually popular after 2pm in a sunny day. In the beach area, there are several lying logs which allow you to lean on.

Beautiful park along the English Bay with plenty of trees and grass. Nice paved path to walk on - even for someone with a walker.

The route from the Vancouver museum to this beach is a gorgeous walk along the water. The patch towards the houses with some grass isnโ€™t as nice but still very scenic looking out to the mountains.

A very pleasant place to go in Vancouver, specially in spring/summer. Public bathroom are ok, there are a lot of beach volleyball courts to play, and also basketball and tennis ones. You can find bars and restaurants nearby and enjoy the view.

The sandy beach is ideal for sunbathing and swimming, while the grassy areas provide ample space for picnics and sports. What makes Kitsilano stand out is its large, heated outdoor pool, offering breathtaking views of the mountains and ocean. The park also features tennis courts, a playground, and plenty of walking trails. The atmosphere is always vibrant, yet it never feels too crowded.

Popular busy beach with restrooms, snack shack, pool (entrance fee) and some parking. Beautiful views. Family friendly. Lots of grass behind the beach for picnics. Some picnic tables and benches. Playground area.

The perfect walk to see a beautiful sunset or just to enjoy the sea. A picnic here during the sunny days is totally worth it. There is a pet friendly area to unleash your furry friends and let them enjoy the water and the weather. People enjoy an evening walk, a barbecue, a picnic, photo shoots etc.

It was my birthday. I parked in the vicinity and was thrilled that the Kitslano Showboat a 5 instrument folk band started at 7PM. The sun was out โ™ก snd soon to set. I squeezed myself onto one of the wooden benches and took in a lot of toons of my era of the '70s and '80s. So much fun. The view is gloriously stunning.

Love this beach. Lots of parking in the area. Outdoor swim pool available but it is surrounded by asphalt so you have to sit on asphalt in-between swimming. Not comfortable at all. Really nice lap swim lanes. The beautiful view from the grassy areas is breathtaking. There is a concession stand that has grilled items and cold treats and drinks on site when open. Lots of trees in the area to provide shade on hot days. Walking paths all down the ocean side. Bathrooms available beside the concession stand. Gorgeous way to spend the afternoon!

The scenery was great but I have seen better beaches! The water seemed to be greenish at one corner although people were bathing. Great place to spend your evening!

Nice area but incredibly busy whenever the weather is nice. The area around the main bathrooms will smell of alcohol and urine most mornings in the summer.

Beautiful beach to just sit and look into the ocean. The view is unbelievable and so many nice people around you. There is a lot of things happening around you when you sit in one spot. There are volleyball nets which people were using, people were swimming, walking their dogs, bike riding and more! The list can go on. We were a little sad that we couldn't spend more than a hour there but cannot wait to go back! (Pictures don't do any justice)

My favourite Vancouver beach is Kits Beach! Volleyball, beach, swimming, water activities. Fantastic Kits Pool is there too! Concession stands & Boathouse restaurant. Lifeguards. Gorgeous!!!

One of the most beautiful places I have ever been to. The beach is nice, a bit overcrowded, but I highly recommend coming here to watch the sunset, it is a truly spectacular sight.

FYI. Changing rooms and inside showers are closed for covid right now. There is an open outside show to rinse off. I booked a 2pm slot. You get to swim for an hour and a half and them they clear everyone out between time slots. Pool was pretty great on a hot day ๐Ÿ˜Ž

The temperature was great. Not too crowded although more people started showing up at about 4pm. Everyone seemed to be in a positive mood, or maybe it was just me. Sat in my beach chair, napped, read my book, talked to my friend, watched people, and enjoyed the day. Summer is on the way!!!

Pre Xmas rush, on a fine Sunday afternoon... a great place for a walk, not crowded, which means enough social distance spacing. The views of the North Shore, Capilano, Grouse & Seymour mountains. Stanley Park & Downtown Vancouver to the right. A serene spot with magnificent views!

This very inviting green space allows the visitors to be involved in multiple activities within one visit to Kitsilano Beach Parkโ€ฆthe expansive beach where wading, swimming, volleyball or just relaxing on the inviting sandy beach..there are the tennis and basketball courts, the childrenโ€™s playground, relaxing on the many benches, the further pathways to Granville Island or as we frequently do walking up Yew St to the cafes along the way or up the steeper hill to 4th Ave where multiple good times await the visitors to the many steps to cafes, groceries and interesting consumer productsโ€ฆ

We have been here on a summer weekday, and there are more people than expected, but we can still find a nice relaxing spot. The sand is fine enough for kids to play with, and the water has a bit of rubbish flowing but is still clean enough for swimming. It has beach volleyball courts, a kid's playground, places to change and shower, and restaurants nearby. Its parking lot is quite near the beach, very convenient but the price is a bit high.

Unbelievable. An expansive sand beach in the very heart of an international city. You can walk downtown from here. Great sand, great metal detecting opportunities, friendly people including the life guards. Wait.... where am I ??? Miami Beach, Venice Beach, 100 Mile Beach.... why no. This is Vancouver, BC right here on Canada's west coast. Roger.... Metalman9.ca

Kits is arguably the best pool in the world. At 137 m in length with a backdrop of Vancouver skyline, mountains and ocean itโ€™s my favorite place in Van.

Beautiful place for a walk or a stroll. Always lovely to come here and people watch and enjoy the sunsets. Great community and people enjoy to sit on the grass and enjoy life. Close to pubs, shops, coffee shops and restaurants. Great place!

Gorgeous, whimsical, magical. You can feel the ocean call to you. It whispers your name. Sometimes, the seagulls do, too- and they're usually louder. ๐Ÿฆ‹๐Ÿงฟ๐Ÿ’™๐ŸŒŒ๐Ÿ’œ

I heard this pool is one of the ๐Ÿ” 20 salt water pools in the world! It really is refreshing and not over crowded due to covid precautions ๐Ÿ›‘ etc.. The most spectacular views of ๐Ÿ—ป โ˜€ ๐Ÿ™ โ›… ๐ŸŒŠ, from the water too. Saltwater feels very natural and clean and great for your skin ๐Ÿ‘†! The pool schedules are mixed with mostly public swims and lap swimming sessions. Hours of operation are up to date on their google my business listing. Also you can book ๐Ÿ“™ tickets ๐ŸŽŸ in advance on their site.

Pool is closed, we went to the kids play area and went for a walk along the beach... It was windy so quite cold, but the kids really enjoyed themselves... There were lots if other kids around playing at the beach and also in the play area. Beach was kind of empty and the play area was not too crowded. U have to pay for parking in this area, about alittle over $2 per hour.. The view was amazing!!

Best place in Vancouver to watch the sunset and go for a walk! Even in the cold weather there were buskers out playing music. In the summer itโ€™s a great place for a swim, volleyball, tennis, basketball, or just hanging out. Love coming here with the family!

  • 5/5 Abdullah J. 3 years ago on Google
One of the best beach in Vancouver, British Columbia. It takes only 10-15 minutes from Vancouver Downtown to reach Kitsilano beach park. It has enough parking space. Parking is free but after 2am you have to pay for the parking. The view from this beach park is amazing. A lot of people bring their kids to play in the sand. Some People comes here to do sunbathing. It's a very good place to have a date with your loved one or even spending time with your family. There are many seagulls here and sometimes they make a lot of noise. At night it gets a bit quiet and then you can enjoy a different kind of atmosphere here. All in all, it's a good place to roam around during tje weekends.
