Great recommendation from the waitress where we dined. Not the place we would have normal checked out but a great place. The Bar is long and narrow with booths oneside and bar seating the other with low lighting. We had the cheese board to graze on which was good value The staff are excellent and we were served by Aliyah who was excellent interactive, attentive but not in your face and on her game making our visit more enjoyable. We visited on a Friday eve and was lucky to get in, unlike a British bar there was no standing which its more intimate and nice, but also you may need to book if you want to guarantee a seat.

We had an amazing evening at Bartholomew and really enjoyed our Valentine's Day celebration with our work team there. From the chic sophisticated atmosphere to the fantastic service, it’s the perfect after work hangout. The drinks were excellent and I highly recommend trying their Bart’s chocolate board – you won't be disappointed! Bartholomew is conveniently located close to our office, and it will certainly become one of our regular spots for our wonderful social evenings!

Incredible cocktails here, the creativity is amazing. Had the Night Owl (like a negroni with cold brew), Breakfast in Bed (Cinnamon toast crunch infused bourbon cocktail), Red Dress (like a whiskey sour, with red wine), and a smoked mezcal negroni… Also one cocktail with “bone marrow infused vodka”... And a couple others i cant remember lol. Just pure excellence. Their charcuterie is top tier as well, noticed they have a boudin noir “loaf” (blood sausage). Will have to try it next time. Shout out to Amin, Chris, Luke and Chef Johnny. Absolute gems. Highly recommend this place. PS- Lol to that 1-star review by Savannah… “we were only an hour and a half late” smh

Incredible cocktails, service, atmospheric and the food is understated. MUST try the house made bread basket and savoy cabbage. We got the best seats in the house right in front of the chefs Johnny and Nathan. We will be highly recommending Bartholomews for the service and delectable menu items.

Gorgeous little place, very moody lighting and pretty atmosphere. Best cheese board I've had outside my own home. Definitely recommend for a quick bite and an exciting cocktail!

Went for their happy hour. Attentive service and an extensive list of cocktails! The charcuterie board was good but still a little overpriced for what you get. All in all I’d come back again

Drinks were creative and vibe was on point but server was a bit passive aggressive in pressuring us to leave. We understand there are people waiting for a table but we want to stay and talk and have a good time too. Their food sounds good on the menu but the customer service we experienced makes me unsure if I wanna come back.

came here for late night cocktails around 9:30 p.m. on a weekend. the wait was 1 hour, but that was fine because there are other bars/food places on the street. the cocktails are so nice and the place has a great ambience. i got their french negroni, kiss, and birth of venus cocktails with some sides. the birth of venus was a 10/10. their servers and chefs were all very friendly, will definitely be coming back! the location and interior is unbeatable.

This place is incredible, from the moment you walk in. The ambiance, service, drinks and food all amazing. Our server was a gentleman named Javi and he was great, very attentive and recommended some great drinks. We will definitely be going back next time we visit Vancouver.

There was an hour wait at 11 PM on Saturday night, so we reached the next day at 5 PM. It was easy to find a seat, but they also have Happy Hour till 6 PM every day. My group liked their drink similar to Moscow mule the most, followed by the one with cucumber flavor. Their rye whiskey cocktail was also great, esp the presentation with smoke inside a box.

This place is something else! We came here on a Saturday night. There was a one-hour wait and we waited hoping it would be worth it. And worth it it was. The cocktails are award winning and expertly mixed. Our group had manhattans and some non alcoholic ones as well. The charcuterie boards were brilliant. They have a massive selection of meats and cheeses and we ripped through the first one in just a few minutes. The ambience is perfect for a lively Saturday night, as is the music. For me the highlight was their bartender and his dry sense of humour. He certainly made our night more enjoyable. I’m absolutely coming back here the first chance I get.

This place is beautiful. The prices are higher due to the bartenders actually putting attention and care into their craft, which is fair. The person seating us wasn’t entirely friendly, and despite us having reservations seated us at the bar. To be fair, there aren’t that many spots available since it’s a small space. The bartender was great and as a whole, a positive experience!

One of the if not best cocktail bars in Vancouver. Service, vibes, food and drinks were all on point. My fav drink was the one that came in a treasure box with aromatic smoke. Initially it was bitter but the complexity and taste changed with each sip. Good place for a date or to hang and catch up with friends.

Did not know about this bar until I couldn't find a place serving alcohol and wanted some food late night after a show in Vancouver. Asked one of the restaurants closeby if there's anywhere that serves food and alcohol and they recommended we go here! So glad, I got to go here! Now that I know about it I'll be coming back and bringing friends! Awesome intimate bar, great cocktails and appetizer was amazing! I definitely recommend you try the shrimp skillet!

The service was great, quick and friendly, the cocktails were amazing and the ambient was nice, the seats at the bar are comfortable, nice music selection, good relation quality-price… this place cheers you up!

Overall a fine experience! The drinks were absolutely phenomenal, and the charcuterie board was good, but would suggest to split between two people as we promptly left to go and get burgers afterwards (we split the $50 board between four people). Service was okay, but the ambience made up for it. Probably won’t go back, but am glad I tried it!

Bartholemew is an absolute gem, and, at least the few times I’ve been far removed from the Yaletown scene. Perfect date spot, real intimate vibe (including some of the most comfortable booth seating I’ve ever parked on). Excellent cocktails. Knowledgeable, engaging, and friendly service. Beautiful interior. Like it here very much and will return.

It's an amazing place. Everything from the decoration to the food, drinks and service is excellent. It's a little hidden place in yaletown that'll easily go unnoticed. It's better to make a reservation ahead of time as they don't have too much space specially if you're a larger group. We loved the chef's charcuterie and everything else we tried here! Kudos to the chef for his creativity and fantastic food!

Exceptional vibe, candle lit with great background music. Drinks were perfect and food is prepared fresh right at the bar. Service was very quick on a full Friday night. Happy hour is 5-6 and an exceptional value. Highly recommend, get reservations.

Place has really cool vibes inside. Comfortable to sit in, with a drink and some snacks. Or meals if youre feeling hungry. The menu is simple and straightforward, and the atmosphere lends for a laid back time. We got a Japan old fashioned a Save the Bees cocktail. Both tasted great! Would highly recommend making a reservation a week in advance or so. The place can get busy and most patrons will be enjoying their time. Walk ins might find themselves facing a long wait time.

We went here for a Bachlorette party, wish we had more time to stay here but only got to spend about an hour here. The ambience is lively, cozy and fun. The server was friendly and easy going as well as the other ppl that worked here. The cocktails were great and the charcuterie was very yummy.

Nice little bar with great atmosphere and drinks. Gets crowded quickly, but great place to jump to before or after an evening out. My only regret was that it’s narrow and crowded, but it adds to the atmosphere of the place.

Sensational food meticulously created by a talent kitchen. Drinks are high-quality and spectacularly presented and tasty, the service is knowledgeable, fast, attentive and impeccable. The decor and atmosphere is clean, modern and creates inviting and positive vibes all around. The Bar Manager Chris going above and beyond for service, operation execution and accommodation our guests in the party is an understatement. This is the best service and caring attention I've received in a while and stands out among the Vancouver restaurant industry as being one the best-in-town. Finally made it to the newest kid on the Mainland block and what a fantastic experience! From the atmosphere to the sevice to the food, just impeccable. I was lucky to sit at the bar and watch Daphne makes magical cocktails. They are expensive, but totally worth it! Definitely going back.

Delightful cocktails and friendly service. A bit expensive for food and drinks but they have a happy hour between 5-6pm if you can beat the rush. Overall a good experience in Yaletown.

Wow. What a lovely, cozy bar. Fantastic date place. A long cozy bar to the left, and even cozier narrow pairs of tables to the right, which I preferred. They have all kinds of charcuterie and cheeses if you want nibbles, but the real star of course are the cocktails. I had the Mumbai, which was whisky, chai, and cumin bitters. The spice was just right and augmented the whisky without overwhelming it.

My husband and I went there for a date night, and we enjoyed every minute there! The atmosphere was nice and the bartender was great! We tried his recommendation and it was one of the best drinks I’ve had in awhile. I would definitely like to go there again when we visit Vancouver and try other drinks.

Would Return. Really cool atmosphere with great bar service and a wide variety of nibbles pre, post or in place of dinner, however food lacks refinement. Tartare was kind of average, with the gf actually choosing to leave me to finish it, instead of us fighting over the last bite. Overall it was missing something that binds it together, texture and taste wasn't quite right. Too dry. Pate was below average, fantastic plating and pickles - but too much pickles vs pate, and frankly not a bad thing. It tasted like raw Chicken - very metallic and raw at the same time. Couldn't finish. Drinks are high quality, great execution and better bar service. Reservations recommended, even late into the night. Takes AMEX. $40-$50pp.

Absolutely amazing cocktails with fantastic presentation. Bartholomew is an excellent spot for a drink after dinner or to have a few plates while sipping on your adult beverage of choice.

This was our first visit to Vancouver, BC. I was looking for a high end cocktail bar. Bartholomew might be the best you'll find in this town. The prices are on the high end, but so is the detail and execution. My husband was a craft bartender for years. He said he and his colleagues could never accomplish a 'Blue Blazer'. A bartender at Bartholomew gave it a shot for us and it was great! I'd recommend reservations, they were very popular.

Awesome food & service, the waiters were extremely patient. And probably the best Creme brulee in town!!! You just have to try it🥰 Will definitely come back!!!

Stopped by as they opened before heading out to a show and had a fantastic experience. Cocktails were inventive and perfectly balanced, and the charcuterie was extremely enjoyable. The Old Fashioned and Negroni world tours are an outstanding idea to help anyone elevate their expectations and knowledge on how a mixologist can truly change your perception of a classic cocktail. The space is gorgeous but a little tight so I would recommend either getting a table early, or going with a party of 4 or less.

I think this is a good place for wine + cheese plates. They also have a good list of cocktails.

Amazing cocktail lounge with a classy and timeless high-end atmosphere but a chill, easy going crowd. Can’t remember his name (I’m so sorry!) but our server was this super cool and friendly French guy, I told him to pick some cheeses for me for the cheese board because I couldn’t decide and I actually loved his surprise recommendations more than the ones I chose! Cocktails were great and i also had the Oyster Mushrooms—delicious. Thank you for an amazing experience we will definitely be back!

Outstanding cocktail bar in Yaletown. The bartenders know what they're doing, I usually suggest telling them what kind of drink you want and go with one of their suggestions. Of course I always get a classic like a martini as well :)

While my bison tartare was delicious, I have to give it a one star because I had stomach illness the next morning. I have never had issues before with tartare and rarely get food poisoning. This was unusual and I'm disappointed. On the other hand, the cocktails were great and the bar seating was very atmospheric. I would have definitely come again if I had not experienced the food issue.
