I brought in a diamond cluster Ring. Asked for a diamond to be replaced. She said it wasn't a diamond and said it would be 80 dollars to replace and showed me on her diamond tester. So I was shocked. !!!! 😮 When I went in to pick it up she said it WAS a diamond so it was 95 dollars. 😮 I told her I knew it was a diamond!!! Paid the money and walked out. The diamond fell out and they replaced it, no charge,Ugh that stone was half the size and It fell out as well as another diamond. Not impressed!!! Never will I ever bring in my jewelry to be repaired at this place!!

I am disappointed. I brought a ring in over a week ago to find out the material and if it could be resized. The lady there told me it was Silver, it could be sized down to a 13.5, and to call in a week. When I came to pick it up today the man working there told me it Wasn't Silver and could not be soldered shut so instead of contacting me to let me know, they'd just cut a chunk out of it and squeezed it down to an 11. It didn't fit my finger so he said he could widen it right there. He took the ring behind the counter, fiddled with whatever tool he uses, and handed it back to me WARPED out of its original circular shaped. I suggest finding a different jeweller Edit: they responded (a year later) "Sorry, Our Goldsmith tests the item and only can work on Silver or Gold". Then why did the lady working at the front tell me it was silver? Why did you just cut a chunk out of my ring?

I made the mistake of letting my friend take the watch i had just given him into Golden Leaf Jewellers to have to engraved. I had just bought him a beautiful citizen watch. Not a cheap knock off or replica but a genuine article. While there he noticed a lovely ring with a beautiful Saphire mounted in the centre. The ring was too big and he asked if they could size the ring. Although the ring was originally $500.00 regular but on sale for $300.00 plus tax the sizing wasnt included. That was the first sign that he should have steered clear of this place. however he sent off his new watch and his new ring to be sized and the watch engraved. You will not believe what returned. The ring has these dark spots where the soldering was placed. it looks like gun metal and the ring was supposed to be silver. There are areas all over the band where the silver is chipping off... im not sure where in the world a ring made from questionable materials has ever cost $300 plus tax. Now wait till you hear what happened to the watch. The engraving cost $45.00 and took about 4 days to complete. They had to send it away to be done. New watches of any and all calibres have a protective plastic layer on the back of the watch. Made so that the owner of this new watch can peel it off and feel good that the watch has not been tampered with. The watch came back with the plastic layer engraved and not the watch. Im not sure weather to laugh or to cringe at this utter lack of professionalism. my friend wont complain so i am on his behalf. now after complaining to the woman at the store he was informed that he would have to pay to have it polished in order to remove the staining left from this sizing that i have never seen such a garbage job. i want this fixed.

HORRIBLE service. I am giving one star as well because 0 is not an option. I brought them a locket to have engraved. When I went to pick it up they had engraved the incorrect side, and the engraving was very poorly done. I requested a refund for the locket ($130 value) and the engraving ($40 value) as a result. The woman working there argued and argued with me that I was wrong. I then asked to speak with the owner who also refused a refund. He proceeded to argue with me over the phone and in person (yes, I had to go back) that I was wrong even when I saw that he knew exactly what the problem was when I presented him with the locket and watched his facial expression change. Eventually they agreed to only return the engraving fee but the owner stated that "I was lucky because I got a free service." I now have a poorly engraved locket that I can no longer give to my niece as a birthday gift all for the cost of $170. I am disgusted with this business and the way they interact with their so-called customers. I strongly advise against stepping foot in that store. See the owner’s response below as an example of their argumentative behaviour….

Cheap products, shoddy service. Ive purchased jewelry from there before, and was only ever upset with the lady's service (she is dishonest about quality and value, and lies about jewelry cleaning products to boost sales) but never had a bad experience with what I assume is her husband until today. I came in to get my watch battery changed changed for $13 and requested a couple links be removed- never an additional cost anywhere else I've been. This guy says it will be an extra $10 and breaks the clasp in the process of sizing it. I say fix the clasp and forget about the links. Then have the audacity to say they've given me a discount! Sucks they are my neighborhood jeweler but I will be making the trip to go somewhere reputable in the future.

My wife bought my wedding band, it was a size 12, so the lady said she would discount if it did not fit. I was a size 10. She said normal price to downsize is 160. She said she would do it for 80. But I asked another store and they said they would do it for 35. These people are a rip off. It also troubled me on how much she paid for the band. Rip off artist here.

Brought in a gifted pocket watch from the 1800's that worked well - intermittently. Very simple but beautiful movement. The lady there said we can fix it no problem, and said that the fellow there was a 'master watchmaker'. He came out looking at me like he was disgusted and judging the way I looked and just handed it back to me. 'I can't fix this'. I may not be the best dressed as I wasn't well off at the time but I am a decent human being. I have pride too. I just received an fair sized inheretance. Will not spend a dime there. How can a watchmaker sit idly by knowing that a watch is not working on the table?

Service: I brought an antique 14K diamond ring in for resizing from a 8 to a 4 3/4. The nice Lady took the time to measure my wife's finger suggested a 4.5, but after measuring her wedding ring decided to go the extra and match the unusual size. When picking up I dealt with the Gentleman who served me quickly and billed the amount agreed. The time they gave me was 1 week, which was fulfilled. Quality: The ring size is good and matches what was requested. There is no visible join mark of damage to the ring. The overall finish is slightly better than expected. Price: The resizing was $85 plus tax for a gold ring. I did some digging on reddit prior to engaging the jeweler, local prices ranged from $60-$100, so when I was quoted $85 as an estimate I felt it was a medium range and thus fair price to pay. 5 STARS

Just brutal customer service. Ring resizing was done very poorly, sizing was done wrong by the woman working there. In the end we were blamed for their mistakes and given a $5 discount. Just go somewhere else.

I recently had visited the store looking for some jewellery for my girlfriend I ended up buying some gold diamond earrings for her and a gold necklace to go with it the necklace didn’t quite fit so I had taken it into another jeweller to have it sized for her just for fun I asked him if he would test that goal And the diamond that was in the earrings and necklace he did he found out that it wasn’t in gold and the diamond was the poorest quality someone could get had no idea I definitely would never buy jewellery from this dishonest place everybody stay away from them they are dishonest people

This is the worst jeweller we’ve ever encountered. We were quoted $150 for some work on a piece and were charged $450 when we picked it up two weeks late and then wouldn’t give it back unless we paid. I can’t explain enough how terribly run this place is. If I could give less than one star I happily would.

I’ve been visiting here for years to have batteries changed and chains repaired, I thought an East Indian couple used to own it, I always got good service from them. During my most recent visits this week there was a new fellow helping customers who appears to be the owner now. He’s super helpful and very pleasant and professional, he swapped out multiple batteries in no time flat and even set the correct date and time for me. Price was reasonable too. I’ll definitely be back.

I brought an old Pulsar LED display watch in to have the batteries changed and was told by the lady that she put new batteries in but the watch does is broken. She told me that they have a 30 year veteran watch repair fellow coming in on Friday or Saturday that will look at it. When I came in to pick it up I was told that they couldn't get the watch to work and parts are no longer available. The fellow went on to say that it may be possible to put a new mechanism in the existing housing and the price would be between $150-$175. I declined, gave it back to my brother to take a look at. He sent me a picture showing that they watch works great after he put the new batteries in. he said that the jeweller had inserted the batteries incorrectly. Either the the lady that changed the batteries and the veteran watch repair fellow are incompetent or they just were looking for an easy mark. Be aware

I had a good experience here. I needed a watch resizing and new battery. When they began to resize, they ran into difficulty as the watch was old and a screw was stuck. They offered to keep it in longer to try other methods of removing the screw and were able to get the job done within a couple of hours. I thought that they were friendly and helpful. I'll be back for future repairs!

I really loved going into a (clearly) family-owned and friendly shop to get my mother's old watch repaired. I immediately had the sense that they were honest, would care for it (not send it away), and do a good job. My impression was correct in all of that, plus they were quick, communicative and very reasonably priced. Thanks so much! :)

I bought the best 20th anniversary gift ever for my wife from these people. As I wanted a very specific design and they didn't have anything similar in stock, they offered to make one from scratch. The result was unique. It is so beautiful that my wife cried when she saw it. Thank you so much Golden Leaf!

Brought my silver necklace here to be repaired. It was pricey and it also tarnished immediately after returned. I used to wear this necklace everyday for 3 years and it never tarnished. Now my necklace doesn't even come to silver with cleaning. I'm very disappointed and a bit sus... how could my necklace never previously tarnish, but is extremely tarnished now since repaired here at this jeweler.

Fantastic prices and customer service. Needed my watch resized as it was too loose and the gentleman working there literally did it in less than 30 seconds! Didn't want to charge me but I couldn't not pay for that kind of service. The best place I've ever been to that sells and does watch repair. Highly highly recommended!

I’m extremely disappointed by this place… I had dropped my two chains off a week ago to get fixed (links were broken/popped chain), unannounced to me they welded one of my chains together, changing the colour of the gold giving it a rose gold complexion. I paid without giving a full examination of what they had done only to see in the sunlight that they messed up. The service was nice so I trusted this place, but now I’m left feeling upset, disappointed and gutted at the work they needed a week to fix. My advice to you if you ever go to the place, just ask a lot of questions… I.e what will you be doing ? What’s the cost of this procedure? Why does it need a week?
