Dr.
Hayaty
was
adequate
but
overall
he
seemed
quick
to
make
assumptions,
impatient
with
questions,
and
lacking
in
communication
skills.
My
husband
was
also
under
his
care
and
his
experiences
were
similar.
Below
is
a
more
detailed
account
highlighting
some
of
the
unfavourable
experiences
of
being
his
patient.
On
my
3rd
visit
to
Dr.
Hayaty,
he
walked
in
and
asked,
“What’s
wrong
now?”
Make
of
that
what
you
will.
Later,
my
iron
had
been
very
low.
I
took
the
prescribed
oral
iron
medication
and
did
another
blood
test
a
year
later
to
check
if
my
iron
levels
went
up.
I
didn’t
hear
back
from
Dr.
Hayaty
about
the
results
for
2
months.
Because
I
still
felt
tired
everyday,
I
called
to
double
check.
I
found
out
the
results
still
showed
low
iron
and
he
had
not
contacted
me.
This
experience
meant
that
I
no
longer
trusted
that
“no
news
is
good
news”.
The
next
year
I
thought
I
would
give
Dr.
Hayaty
one
last
try.
I
called
to
book
an
appointment
and
explained
to
the
receptionist
that
I
hadn’t
seen
him
in
a
long
time
because
of
the
pandemic
and
I
was
apprehensive
that
15
minutes
wouldn’t
be
enough
time
to
discuss
my
concerns.
(In
all
the
years
of
being
Dr.
Hayaty’s
patient,
this
was
the
only
time
I
had
asked
for
more
time.)
The
receptionist
offered
no
alternative
solutions
and
only
told
me
that
she
would
leave
a
note
for
Dr.
Hayaty.
So,
at
the
beginning
of
the
appointment
I
asked
if
he
had
received
the
note
and
he
knew
nothing
about
what
I
was
talking
about.
I
then
explained
that
I
hadn’t
seen
him
in
a
while
because
of
the
pandemic
and
that
I
had
a
few
things
to
discuss.
I
brought
in
a
point
form
list
for
me
to
remember
what
I
wanted
to
discuss.
Dr.
Hayaty
assumed
that
because
I
had
a
list
it
meant
that
I
expected
to
discuss
everything
on
it
in
that
one
appointment.
I
am
not
mind
reading,
I
read
his
notes
on
this
interaction
when
I
received
a
copy
of
my
medical
records.
After
repeated
miscommunications,
Dr.
Hayaty
stood
up
to
leave
the
room
and
I
told
him
there
was
something
else
I
still
needed
to
discuss
with
him.
I
asked
him
if
I
should
make
another
appointment
and
his
response
was,
“I
am
sure
you
are
a
very
busy
lady”
!!!!
His
notes
however
gaslight
me
and
claim
that
he
told
me
he
would
be
happy
to
discuss
any
other
medical
concerns
if
I
make
another
appointment.
That
would
have
been
the
proper
way
to
respond
but
that’s
not
what
happened.
It
gets
worse…
In
that
last
appointment
Dr.
Hayaty
ordered
me
a
heart
test.
I
ended
up
having
two
different
ECGs.
Months
later
I
called
the
office
to
double
check
the
results
because
I
had
not
heard
anything.
The
receptionist
discovered
that
my
medical
files
had
been
archived.
Being
archived
created
a
complication
for
me
to
receive
my
test
results
since
I
was
no
longer
considered
to
be
Dr.
Hayaty’s
patient.
I
received
no
notice
from
the
clinic
that
the
doctor
patient
relationship
had
been
terminated.
And
I’ll
never
know
if
they
archived
me
before
or
after
receiving
my
test
results.
The
way
this
whole
thing
played
out
is
unprofessional
at
best
and
negligent
at
worst.
The
only
good
thing
throughout
this
last
debacle
was
the
care,
patience,
and
kindness
of
the
receptionist
Prianka.
The
one
star
in
this
rating
is
for
her.
