The parking ticket is a problem. you can get a ticket if you don't pay for parking right away. Some of the parking staff will stand right close to your car and wait for a minute and if you don't pay in a minute. they will issue a ticket.

This Costco is like pretty much every other Costco you would find in the world. One cool feature is that the snack bar faces onto the street so even if you don’t have a membership you can still enjoy the cheap eats and sit at the outdoor patio. Because Vancouver is warm pretty much all year round we are lucky that we have this option. There is paid parking underneath the Costco, and here’s a tip, use the parking app on your phone and avoid the long lineups that are potentially there for parking. This Costco has now finally added some self checkout stations which is handy. This Costco is generally busy most of the time but better off mid week afternoon I find is when you’ll find the smallest crowds.

This Costco is ok, it gets a lot of traffic. Unfortunately the high numbers of people who frequent the hot food area has taken its toll. The majority of the ordering machines touch screens barely work and sometimes you can’t even place an order. Other than that they have a decent selection of stuff and the location is the best in the city if you’re based downtown, or live by the skytrain station. The bakery foods are tasty and I love the rotisserie garlic chicken.

Great place to buy groceries. Easy to access, easy to park but have to pay for it. Visiting from Asia we were amazed with the quantities of the products such as 2.2kgs of potato salad, gallon of milk....was amazing for us. They have huge varieties of fresh products to.buy and just cook straight in the oven such as shepherds pie, lasagnas..... They have very cheap Jean's to buy with prices ranging from 6$ CAN to 20+ $CAN. They have an eating corner where you can buy a big hot dog with pop (a 20oz drink, for 1.5$CAN. they also have huge pizza slices for 2.99$CAN and Poutine, french fries with gravy and cheese , for 5.29 $CAN. Really fun place to visit, buy groceries and have lunch.

Costco in downtown Vancouver is an absolute gem. The sheer variety of high-quality items available at insanely good prices is mind-blowing. From household essentials to gourmet treats, they've got it all. I can't get enough of the fantastic deals that make my wallet do a happy dance every time I shop there. What truly sets this Costco apart is their incredibly friendly staff. They're always ready to help and make the shopping experience a delight. And let's talk about their return policy—it's like the Holy Grail of retail! The ease and flexibility in returning items is unparalleled. It's a comfort knowing that if something doesn't work out, they've got your back. Walking into the store feels like a breath of fresh air. The cleanliness and welcoming ambiance make the whole shopping experience a pleasure. It's a rarity to find a warehouse store that's not only well-organized but also so inviting. Costco has undeniably become a game-changer for Vancouver. It's not just a store; it's a religious experience that elevates the shopping scene in the city. With their diverse range of products, incredible deals, and top-notch customer service, Costco is, without a doubt, the best thing to happen to Vancouver.

Pretty decent selection of items. The pay meter has a special Costco rate when paying - 2$ for x amt of time you're there and 15$ until 11pm. Pretty good pricing for downtown parking! Food samples are back in full swing, so come hungry 🤣

From a tourist perspective, slightly different than Mexicans & American Costco from the outside. Here in Canada Costco Parking you need to pay & the parking is underground. Big drive way for shopping carts (: little stairs or elevator to get to the Costco (:

Really like the vegetable section. The variety of packaged salads is my favourite part to shop for. The store is so easy to navigate and most of the prices are fantastic! Are you receiving any turnips, yams or rutabaga soon? Will you ever be selling Silk oat milk again? Thanks so much.

The prices and the goods are perfect as everyone knows this about Costco. But there were huge problems. 1: there were no staff to answer any questions to where the specific products are 2: also there were no tableau that can show each isle products. It's like a maze and you literally walk and search all the store to find what you want especially if it's your first time and don't know the placement of products.

There is a great shopping experience here and the items are not overpriced. The food court/restaurant has amazing prices! The food there is extremely good for the price you are paying. They have a great selection of food, flowers, vitamins, children’s books and many other things.

As usual, Costco was great. The pharmacist was very friendly, explained everything about the Shingles vaccine, then she gently gave me the jab. Did some shopping. Self checkout was efficient. Picked up a cooked takeout lunch too. Successful shopping trip.

Good prices for most items. But be aware that not everything is cheap. Enjoy shopping here for staples (non perishables). Not a great fan of US veggies and fruit. But some of the veggies and fruit is still fine. I like shopping for that locally and in much more manageable quantities.

Went in this morning, wasn't happy with Maria's service. She didn't listen to me when I explained how I wanted to load the cart. I would rather have loaded it myself, as she only had 2 items to load into the cart. I can't believe this location charges for parking, when even the greeter at the door gives me attitude. This is the worst Costco I've been to in the area, and I won't be returning.

I recently had the pleasure of shopping at Costco, and I must say, it was a five-star experience. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the organization and cleanliness of the store. The aisles were neatly arranged, and everything was easy to find. The customer service was exceptional. The staff was friendly and helpful, and they went out of their way to make sure I found everything I needed. They even offered to help me carry my purchases to my car. Although the prices may be slightly higher than other stores, I believe it's worth it to shop at Costco because of the quality of their products. They offer a wide variety of items, from groceries to electronics, and everything is top-notch. Overall, I highly recommend shopping at Costco. The organization, cleanliness, and customer service are unparalleled, and the quality of their products is second to none. If you're looking for a one-stop-shop for all your needs, look no further than Costco.

I was changing my all season tires to winter tires at Vancouver Downtown Costco on Oct 22, 2023. While I was waiting for the installation, I inquired about getting new tires for my other car. Caterina was very helpful in researching tires selection for me and explaining the details; very patient and friendly. A big thank-you!!!!

I just lost my phone in the pastries section and freaked out. An amazing employee, Jai, helped me look for it and gave me useful emotional support, he was truly so helpful and kind, even offered to call my number to see if we could find it. Such nice and great people working there. I am on holidays but I love Costco brand, now I love it even more!!!

It's always very well stocked and you'll get the best grocery prices in proportion here, definitely. I just wish the cafeteria side was more convenient and comfortable to order. They need to realize the amount of people trying to order is way too large for the size of their operation

I'd say that while some items at Costco Chinatown Vancouver are still worth it, it's essential to compare your options carefully. After all, if you're shelling out $60 for a membership to buy and profit a company that sells items in bulk, you'd expect better prices. Let's face it, paying 10 cents less or more for something you can get at Walmart and have it delivered the same day doesn't make much sense, unless you're really brand-conscious. Otherwise, the subscription fee plus potentially higher costs at Costco might not be such a great deal.

Huge store with a great variety of items, and good quality at decent prices. However, it's always incredibly busy, with long lineups for absolutely everything, which makes it a stressful shopping experience. Also, I don't understand why they're not open later... whenever I'm there it's crazy busy, I'm sure they could make plenty more money if they would stay open until 10 everyday like similar big box stores.

Always love going to this Costco. Today though we asked for help from a worker and he didn’t even stop to help us. But another gentlemen ended up helping us find what we needed. This store has always been one of my favourite stores. Always have the best deals.

One of the few Costco warehouses that charges members for parking ($2) I wish they would reimburse you with minimum spending, similar to some other stores do. I guess this is the price you have to pay for having it in the downtown core. Other than that, the variety of merchandise is fine, similar to other warehouses, with slightly more healthy and organics options available.

Spend thousands every year at Costco. Love the good quality especially organic or gluten free foods. Got some bad experiences at other locations but this location at downtown Vancouver definitely deserve a 5 star! Staff are friendly and the manager solve problems professionally with care. Huge underground parking always have space available! So you don’t have to struggle to find a parking and walk in a rain!

  • 5/5 Colm N. 1 year ago on Google
It's cheap, food is fresh, staff are helpful but it is busy. Wish they could have bulk sizes for small families/couples rather than everything being massive. Or things could be packaged slightly differently to last longer and have less food waste. You're forced to shop elsewhere if the size is too big to be worth the savings. Firm tofu is packed ideally to last but paneer is a massive block If they introduced signs of where things are that would be helpful too.

Pharmacy… almost always only 1 person for pick up orders (spots for 3) so always a long line and a wait to go with it. Tip: call to confirm your medication is ready if your clinic or dr faxes it in. A lot of times I have found it won’t be started till you do.

It's amazing to have a large foot print store right in the middle of the city - not what is expected given that real estate prices are stratospheric. Access is easy and there is ample parking. (Although not free, $2 is really just nominal.) Apart from that, it's everything one would expect to find in any Costco - including a tire shop. And there is the $1.50 hot dog + pop deal. Who could ask for more?

  • 5/5 Colin R. 1 year ago on Google
I don't have a Costco membership so I don't know about the store itself but the food court is fantastic. A very basic menu, pizza, hot dogs, fries chicken fingers, ice-cream and sundaes as well my personal favorite poutine. They have a vegetable based gravy with no meat so vegetarians can enjoy it as well. All of it is very low priced making it great for those on a low budget. My only complaint is that ever since the pandemic started they don't accept cash. It is credit and debit only.
