True NOSH is a cute little local store in a relatively quite avenue off Granville Street that serves up truly yummy nosh (read, food/ meals/snacks) with panache! It was heartening to read how losing her father to Diabetes led the founder Renée to create this company which focuses on items that are vegan, gluten-free and naturally sweetened/ no sugar minus any preservatives. Their mission is to change people's perceptions around how food can still taste good minus the added sugar, and based on our first visit here we can vouch for the fact that they are delivering on the promise, one patron at a time! When we arrived at near closing time last week on a Wednesday evening, it was super easy to find street parking in front of the place, and we were greeted and checked in by Teresa. Despite it being almost the end of a hectic day, she patiently gave her recommendations on their many amazing products on display, and kindly offered a tasting of some of the items. Truly no dearth of natural sweetness at this place! Smitten by their stuff, we got a bagful of True NOSH goodies - their signature XOXO sauce (love it!), Oy!Stir Sauce, Home Run Hot Sauce (nice and spicy!), Blueberry Ginger Compote (yummy!), Hoisin Sauce (tasty!), Granola (one of the best we've had!) and Brownie (good stuff!), and we're thoroughly enjoying these on a daily basis! We also purchased products - Jackfruit and Lily Extra Dark Chocolate - of other brands housed in the store. This loot err nosh will last us for a while! *wistful thinking* Please note that some folks might find the items to be pricey, but rest assured that you are paying for quality items and supporting a local small business in the process. We've read a lot about True NOSH's meals and cooking classes, so we'll have to check these out in the future. Until then, buenos noshes!

Amazing new cafe and market in the south granville area featuring Gluten free items and low sugar foods. They also serve fresh grab and go meals and treats. I had the brownie and it was amazing as well as grabbed some gf meals for the week!

I had an incredible experience with True Nosh Vancouver's cooking classes with my co-workers! The instructors Renee were not only highly skilled but also incredibly patient and supportive. I learned a plethora of cooking techniques and got hands-on experience in preparing a variety of delicious dishes. The small class size ensured personalized attention, and the atmosphere was fun and engaging. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced cook looking to enhance your skills, True Nosh's cooking classes are an absolute must-try. I can't wait to take more classes in the future!

I had the opportunity to attend a moon cake making class hosted by Renée and Yelp, and it was super fun and educational! True Nosh is focused on healthy foods with many healthy food alternatives, from sauces, to dumplings and of course moon cakes. Renée was such a great teacher, she was knowledgeable, organized, and made the class fun!

The True Nosh "market" carries many high quality and local natural food products as well as sauces and other goodies by owner Renée Chan. The market may seem pricey, but every cent that you pay will be returned in the quality. The "café" has things like soup, sandwiches, truffles, miscellaneous desserts, and coffee and specialty lattes. There are also premade meals that they can heat up for you! There's a little bit of counter seating inside and a few tables outside for you to eat there. The street is on is a relatively peaceful pocket of the neighbourhood, so I love to sit outside with my food and relax. Since I started experimenting with using less sugar in my own cooking I've really noticed how much sugar is used in excess in lots of commercially prepared food, so I appreciate what this store is doing. What I really like about Renée's food in particular is that, while many of the products do use small amount of natural alternative sweeteners, they don't overdo it and allow you to experience the pure taste of food without tons of sweetness added. All of the café food and True Nosh sauces I've tried here has been excellent. I love all the unique specialty lattes they have (beetroot, turmeric, black sesame, stuff like that). Besides being low in sugar, they can also accommodate vegan and gf diets. While it's a bit of different experience than eating "normal" food, it's a good kind of different for me! I'd really encourage everyone to try their products. I also took a gluten-free snowy mooncake cooking class with Renée, where she guided us through the process of making the mooncakes as well as taught us a little about the background of the mooncake and her history. She's a great teacher and clearly an expert in food and nutrition. Whether you go to True Nosh for a class, groceries, or to eat in the café, you'll get to experience the generosity and expertise of Renée and the other staff and likely learn something new. Whether you yourself are gluten-free, vegan, or diabetic, or if you are just curious about general healthy eating, True Nosh is an all-around great experience that you should give a visit.

My first time purchasing from True Nosh. I’m so excited to get to share in mid autumn festival with gluten free mooncakes. What an amazing gluten free bakery!

So happy to see a cafe and store that caters to those who need strict diets with no sugar and low to no carbs. I picked up some items from the store but I will be back to try take home meals and hot meals. Thank you True Nosh to bring all groceries, ingredients and pre-made food to keep me honest to my lifestyle change.

I don't know how they do it! It's akin to magic. The food is delicious and nutritious. I'm not gluten-free or vegan, but I definitely appreciate the 'no added sugars' and the knowledge that all of their food choices are created with purpose and health in mind! This is my new fave lunch spot. The seating area outside is perfect, and they even serve coffee! Also, the smoothies are a must. Highly recommend.

Unfortunately not good. It seems like they removed all the interesting and delicious elements of foods just to make them gluten free and plant based (and I eat plant based and gluten free a lot). The scallion pancake was dry, tasteless, and hard - more like an old pita bread. The siu mai was like lightly flavored mushroom stuffing in a dry wrapper. The meatball-ogn-asia noodles crumbled as you tried to eat them, like week old gluten free spaghetti, and the sauce was just bland tomato. The XO, hoisin, and black bean sauces were not unpleasant but I couldn't say great.

Love taking classes here. Renée and Farzana are so patient, fun, and educational. I have learned a lot of gluten free / vegan recipes that taste just as good or even better than traditional recipes, which are also much healthier. I have made these recipes with family and friends which were cleared off their plates. :)

I booked a cooking experience for a corporate team event and it was led by the owner, Renée. As a dietician and chef, she taught us how to cook healthy and delicious food. She was not only informative but so welcoming and fun! Everyone on the team got to get their hands dirty and left on very full stomachs. We ran over time but Renée was more than happy to accommodate our chatty group. Thank you True NOSH for the experience! This is definitely something we will do again!

I brought my team here for a cooking class and it was so much fun! Our instructor was Renee and she was excellent - gave us clear directions, adapted to our various levels of experience, and told us all we needed to know about the ingredients we were using. I also really loved that the recipes are accommodating to various dietary restrictions.

I took the 'Dim Sum Sunday" cooking class and was surprised with how easy Renée made the whole experience. I have never made Dim Sum and as a beginner she broke down everything from proper knife use to proper folding techniques. I now feel confident that I can surprise my friends and family by cooking Sim Sum on my own! Thank you for providing a great learning environment Renée!

True NOSH offers super healthy options for takeout currently and has plenty of house made products for those of us who just want to eat better. The staff were so genuinely friendly and accommodating, offering my friend and I samples of brownies and sauces. I ended up getting an extra bottle of hoisin sauce with black garlic, sweet potato and apple that really hit home after sampling. I took adv to get a fig lemonade and vegan chili which was so so good. And to go I got the tapioca with housemate blueberry compote and granola mix. I'd stop back for an easy lunch bite and to say hi to the friendly folks at Nosh!

Such a gorgeous cafe! Very welcoming, fantastic quality of food, friendly service. I am particularly fond of their lemonade. Most lemonades (if not all) are incredibly sweet! It's one of my biggest pet peeves!! It's so hard to find a lemonade that doesn't taste like liquid sugar. I love how they have so much variety and everything is well made, healthy, and dang good quality. Such a gem to have join the area, and Vancouver, as a whole!

The True Nosh XO sauce is FANTASTIC. I took advantage of their 'buy 3 get 1 free' Black Friday deal. I add a dallop to a bowl of noodles--takes it next level. Love their store too...scones and brownies!

Renee is great at her cooking class she leads and I took the soup dumpling one a couple months ago in the summer and was able to finally learn how to make vegan gluten free Xiao long bao aka soup dumplings. Would highly recommend for future classes and I’m planning to sign up for the mooncake making class this month so I can make a set of vegan and gluten free snowy mooncakes for myself and my family! My dad is borderline diabetic and I’m Vegan and gluten free so these classes are great for diet modifications , particular diet restrictions, or regular diets but someone wanting to eat healthier (less sugar and gluten etc) etc

I picked up Moon cakes from True NOSH to bring to a party with my wife. This business has all your gluten free needs, and can cater to all the Celiac's in your life. They have additional groceries available, so you can go to stock your pantry with gluten free treats, as well as pick up your made-to-orders.

True NOSH was the perfect host for our 16-person private cooking class! Their team had pork potstickers ready for our guests on arrival, and we learned to make Crispy Scallion Cakes and Xiao Long Bao. The lesson time was ~2 hours and 15 minutes, with time for socializing before and after. The space was cozy, Renee and Becky are bright, friendly and knowledgeable, and the food was fun to make and downright delicious. Our guests are still raving about how much fun the experience was.
