Amazing customer service from every staff member. Our flight was delayed and the airline put us up at the Avid. They were so accommodating and friendly they definitely helped make a horrible couple of days much easier. The complimentary breakfast with a great variety of choices was an added bonus.

My boyfriend and I discovered Avid Hotel 2 months ago and it have been our go to ever since. Let’s start hygiene and price: I have been at many expensive hotels in my life and even then the hygiene wasn’t as great. For $150 per night you would expect the bare minimum but they definitely exceeded that. They cleaning services are always on time and I genuinely feel comfortable and safe sleeping on the beds. Next is the service: If I could give a separate review to Shubhankar I would. Wow. Wow. Wow. First of all his friendliness and jokes will make you feel like home. Secondly he will always try to get you to your room clean and make sure you have everything. Thirdly he cares about everyone who stays much more than you’d expect. In general all the staff members are wonderful and so pleasant. I love this place and will never stop coming back and it’s mainly because of the wonderful service.

I really enjoyed my stay here. It was actually the second time that I have stayed here. The people are so kind and friendly, the rooms are very clean. I personally love the beds and have the best sleep ever! They have fresh ground coffee available 24/7 and a pretty decent selection of food available in the morning for you. Worth checking out, I will definitely be back!

Basics done right. This brand will rule the budget travel category. Just enough of everything. Coffee, water and breakfast were better than expected. Small rooms but not cramped. Comfortable bathrooms. Just the right amount of service. I am a fan.

Great service. The staff at the front desk were so fun to deal with. Light joking was a real treat. Very great hotel for the commuter. Rooms are on the smaller side but very clean. This hotel recently opened in November. Will stay here again soon!

Excellent customer service! We had the pleasure of staying at this location during a recent conference and we couldn’t have been happier with the staff or the room. 24 hour Fresh ground coffee and sparkling water were a plus!

I like this place, their staff were professional and the room so clean , the breakfast was great 👍, and I had a comfortable stay, the staff that attended to me was called Shankar or Shawankar. am sorry I don’t know if I spell his name right but I got a pleasant attitude and he was professional. After the stress of the day and I was so tired, He made me smile when he said he is the shortest staff there . So far so good this place was amazing

I don't usually leave reviews but this was a great place! We stayed here for Canadas Wonderland (only 15 min away) and I was very impressed. It's a new hotel, only a few months old, so everything is very new and very clean inside. The rooms are small but have everything you need. Bathrooms and shower are quite large however. I really liked that the room floors are actually like a laminate and not gross carpeting. VERY quiet hotel.. definitely the quietest hotel I have ever been in, even though it was fully booked. Excellent soundproofing. They have a free breakfast every morning, which was really good - great variety. Breakfast sandwiches (like McDonald's type), ricotta spinach egg bites, bagels, muffins, fruit, cereal, oatmeal etc. Lots to choose from. They even had almond milk for those who don't drink cows milk. My only complaint is that the pillows are way way too soft. I'm not sure what the filling is but when you lay on it your head goes straight down to the mattress and the filling puffs out on either side of your head, so you're basically laying on nothing. Staff was very nice too. Would definitely return, I recommend this place for sure.

First time staying in this location. Great hotel, lots of free parking, rooms are very modern, bright and clean. Check in was fast and easy, all staff are super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, our only complaint is no coffee in the rooms, and no tub.

We had a very positive experience while staying at this hotel. We chose this hotel after finding the prices were much friendlier than any other location closer to Toronto, without being too far from most sites. The front desk clerk welcomed us very kindly and informed us the hotel has only been around for 4 months, so everything is essentially new. The lobby was well maintained and we were happy to find there was courtesy breakfast, saving us the trouble of having to scramble to a restaurant in the mornings. Onto the important details: the room was VERY clean with a modern style of furnishings. A little on the smaller side but we never need large spaces for just sleeping overnight anyway. I really appreciated that the floors were tile which felt cleaner than gross carpeting at any other hotel!! (Who knows what's be spilled on all those carpets!) **My one advice: if you want a QUIET stay then ask if you can have a room facing AWAY from the busy road and intersection! Loud car exhausts and semis using their J-Brakes could be heard all the time. Our room faced the road and although it didn't bother us too much, I can imagine it can be a deal breaker for other travelers.

The room was so clean and comfortable, and I really appreciated the attention to the bathroom by having quality shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, AND moisturizer. The grab-and-go breakfast had a good variety of healthy choices, too. The gym is decently well-equipped and was also very clean. Easy access to and from the highway, which is convenient for driving but not pleasant for walking around, and not exactly "scenic." It was exactly what I needed for the purpose of my visit and I was pleased to find a hotel of such quality for the price.

Very unique hotel. Rooms are tiny yet so well laid out that you don't care or notice. The whole place had a modern European vibe to it. Breakfast was so so. Not the usual steam table hotel breakfast but it had premade breakfast sandwiches (think less enthusiastic versions of a McMuffin). The hotel was very clean. The staff were all personable and friendly and management moved through the lobby at breakfast chatting with guests. I did have a relatively big issue on my first day of a four day stay but it was the result of a "perfect storm" of one off things happening at the hotel and my situation. It ultimately was handled well, which is how a hotel should be judged since things do occasionally go off the rails. One downfall is the hotel's location. It isn't that easy to get in and out of and restaurants aren't that easy to get to and definitely aren't walkable. Overall, I hope my company books me there again.

The rooms were nice. The bed was super comfortable along with the pillows and blankets. The hotel is very clean and staff were nice. The coffee was really good, but I was very disappointed with the breakfast options. The website said fresh fruit, which there wasn't any. All they had were bagels, oatmeal, muffins and these breakfast sandwiches that came in a moist plastic bag. Overall great hotel, but bring your own breakfast.

I called the front desk this week and spoke to Ayesha about modifying my upcoming stay. She was very friendly and helpful. She went above and beyond what I expected in service and I'm looking forward to our upcoming stay. Her service deserves recognition 👏.

Almost brand new when we booked, obviously super clean, staff excited, super helpful, and some things needed a little more time to sort themselves out. All the staff to commended, especially Michelle- the perfect person to have in the front desk, warm smile and desire to go the extra mile to help. The only blemish was the traffic noise from HWY 7 that seeped in despite the new windows and double blinds

This is a super clean hotel with great customer service from beginning to end. The employee Meg from breakfast stood out the most with her bright cheerful smile. She was prompt in tidying up and filling up the buffet to ensure there was always enough food. I highly recommend this hotel for it's great hospitality and cleanliness. It's also pet-friendly!

Long story “medium”, the staff at this location is prejudice. We booked this hotel close to the Arlington to rest conveniently after a friend’s wedding. After the wedding, my friend asked the front desk for an extra charger and then proceeded to the elevator. Two staff members followed him in and asked what room he was staying in, and he told them he forgot. They then told him to get off the elevator and take the stairs instead. (Why? We don’t know). He then responded with a decline and told them he has a bad back, but also why would he use the stairs if there is an elevator. My friend asked why he was being followed and they said they were just following management orders. When he got off the elevator they questioned his room number again and wanted his name. My friend told them he doesn’t remember the room number but he’s walking towards it. Also, he clearly had a hotel key so why is he being questioned at all. When he gets to the hotel room, his wife opened the door and was confused with why he was being escorted. The staff then said they wanted her name as well to confirm the reservation, she instantly understood the situation and said “we are not doing this”, grabbed her husband and closed the door. Obviously at night after a wedding, nobody wanted to deal with this foolishness. My friends are a lovely Jamaican family and if their skin tone was lighter they would not be questioned or followed AT ALL. This is disgusting, disappointing and disrespectful behaviour. I am also black and luckily did not experience this when I stayed in the same hotel the same night but I’m sure it’s because my friend is a BLACK MAN. This staff should be FIRED.

Pros: service staff was friendly and accommodating Dove amenities Coffee and tea available at all times Cons: bathroom was dirty, the grout was black. There was a steamy message from the previous guest in the shower glass. The elevator buttons take significant effort to push. Purchased food from the market that was expired. Alerted staff that replaced it with damaged product. Front desk refunded. Bed and pillow was terrible.

Great location if you are attending an event nearby. Clean, simple and meets your expectation. Room size was big due to being disable accessible. My room had a big comfortable bed and a huge washroom. Shampoo/Lotion etc are provided. Quiet hotel. And coffee, tea are provided 24/7.

Front desk went above and beyond to accommodate us after a mix-up with our rooms. Rooms appear new and are very clean. Lots of USB ports in the rooms and a TV with up-to-date tech allowing one to stream directly from their phone. Also, free coffee 24hr. I highly recommend this location.

I really enjoy this hotel, check in and check out are efficient, the rooms are well thought out in layout, it’s still very new but nice and clean. It has a pretty good gym for a hotel. It really is what they say about basics done exceptionally well. My only ask is build more in Canada, preferably in Saskatchewan next.
