The washroom was completely disaster. Doubted about overall hygiene of place. So much confusion for ordering fix thali vs buffet. Finally left happily without ordering any food.

Went earlier this week. The staff were nice. Some of the food was very nice in terms of flavour. Other food was not so special. There was an item with no sauce that looked quite dried out and hard. The rotis were nice and fresh - next time, I'll request no oil. The space felt dark and uninviting. I'd like to see the business succeed. I'll give it another try in a few months. I think I'd want to see a bit more selection (I went on a weekday lunch), maybe labeling the foods and spice levels, and definitely no dried out food.

Amaazing Food! Ambience is much better than Scarborough location, which makes the experience even better! Keri no rass was just like India. And they give options for bread as well so we were able to have bajri na rotla after a long time, tasted great! And cherry on the top is, super affordable as well - 15$ for unlimited thali.

The cuisine at this Gujarati restaurant "Govardhan Thal" located in Thornhill, Canada tasted as if it was prepared in Gujarat and then imported to Canada. I highly recommend trying it as you won't be disappointed.

Tried the unlimited thali for 15$ , it was really good with homely taste vibes for the curries, if they maintain the quality then this restaurant is gonna be a big hit going forward.

I felt so overwhelmed by the service and quality of food they are serving. Really hard working people trying their best to give the best experience at Lowest price. Authentic Veg .Gujarati. Go and give them a chance to serve you. I am sure you won't be disappointed.

While some of the food was tasting good, the service was way below par though it was just us at the restaurant. The owner was constantly staring at what we were serving and made us uncomfortable. Also, unless you ask for an item, they will not even show you that’s on their buffet. Very poor customer service. Also, what was more surprising is they charge my son full though he only had Aam ras… if you want to eat peacefully and not feel under pressure while eating, avoid this place… oh ya the other thing is the lady kept eating out the buffet which is not hygiene to have …

The food at this place is—holy heck—forking fantastic! Seriously! It’s so fricking good that it’s a shame that the service needs improvement, because it can distract the uninitiated from the extraordinary quality of the food. If you love Indian food, and you’re tired of Westernized menus, you are going to adore this restaurant. Their food is 100% authentic vegetarian Gujarati food, made from scratch. And I mean FROM SCRATCH! Absolutely delicious, very fresh, and full of flavour, with notes that hit just right. I’m telling you…. The people who run this place are verrry nice people who are verrry dedicated to their craft. So be patient with them. Give yourself lots of time for tedious dialogue when ordering food. (The overhead menu screens aren’t functional. The restaurant staff assume you already know everything about Gujarati food, but will help you understand what’s on offer.) The prices are too low, given what they provide. I urge you to be nice and tip them really, really generously, so that they will survive. (I have no idea how this place is going to survive.) And bring cash. They don’t take credit. And they have a very temperamental debit terminal that charges $.30. So just bring cash. Bring your nanima, dadima, nanabapa, dadabapa, elderly masis, masas, chachis, chachas, and your parents. They will love the food so much they will forgive you for all the horrible things you’ve done to them over the years. By the way, I posted a photo of the menu. You’re welcome.

The food was just awesome. Initially was hesitant to visit after seeing the reviews but once i went there i realized most of the reviews are not correct. The quality of the food and hygiene was just awesome. The staff were so friendly as well. The best part was the fresh and warm rotis are served directly off the stove to your table. Even the owner himself makes sure everything is alright or not. I can definitely recommend this place and vouch for the Gujarati food here.

The customer service at this place is horrible. The girl serving the food and doing the cashing is probably the most unpleasant I've come across at any restaurant I've been to till date. She lacks friendliness, courtesy and is rude when talking to customers. The place also is sub par when it comes to hygiene (feels that way from the vibe of this place). I would not recommend this place at all in an area where the competition is so high and you have 3 best options for any cuisine you can think of.

We visited this location during Diwali and we had amazing experience. The owner and staff were so warm and welcoming, and they served us the most delicious, hot and fresh food with big smiles on their faces. It felt like we were having a meal at home, but with even more flavor. And those hot rotis they served us were simply incredible! I've never had homemade rotis like that at a restaurant in GTA before. It was such a treat, I can't wait to go back there for another tasty and homely meal. Thanks for serving us with delicious wide menu.

Kichdi, rice and roti are fresh/ good/ excellent. Curries are oily. Could be better. Above average food and a modest dining experience.

Yummy vegetarian food. Check out their ‘undhiyu’ - the best I have had in TO. Their service can be better - the best part was that they were ready to listen to feedback on how to improve the customer experience. I am sure I’ll be ready to give them a 5 star for their service soon!

We were in the area (came from Brantford) and found this restaurant. The reviews looked average but was craving Gujarati food and so opted to dine here. Initially, I found the cashier/receptionist not welcoming but later that was compensated with hot food. My assumption is that this is family run business and everyone puts their heart and soul to run this. Ladies making different kind of breads were very welcoming and will feed you like you are at your home. I can taste that some of the items were not freshly made but I can understand that why some restaurants do that. We had fresh khaman and dhokla. They were awesome. Overall, the restaurant is good for everyone who likes Gujarati food and need to satisfy their taste buds. One drawback is you have to pay cash or debit. I know why credit card is not accepted due to its time taking process of getting paid plus the fees but they should facilitate at least Interac transfer.

Excellent Gujarati thali. Food was very authentic, both in terms of spread and in terms of quality. Right from starters/appetizers thru to the end. Note that this is a self serve thali, but no issues for me personally.

Had the unlimited thali today, and it was a delicious treat. As it was sunday, they had Puri. Menu included: Aloo Sabji, Aloo bhindi, matar sabji, cholle, undhuyi, khichdi kadi (not in pic), daal rice, puran poli, khaman and methi gota. The ambience is great, and it was peaceful lunch. For 15$ per thali, this one is great value for money.

Honestly, the taste of the food was really bad. I will never ever suggest it to my friends. We were even charged $5 for waste food. Worst experience ever. The taste is not consistent if you get the same food a second time. I would prefer not to go back to this restaurant again.
