The absolute worst hotel experience I have ever had.Me and my partner booked our room to have a nice new years together. We booked over the phone and was told it was a room with jacuzzi tub when we arrived in person the deposit was $100 more then we were told it would be and the hotel was tacky and dirty. The staff at the front was VERY unprofessional and unorganized, took them forever to get our room key set up. When we finally got our room keys we went up to the room and tried to get in and the room was already occupied with two other people. We went back down to the front again, they didn’t believe us that people were in the room and spent over 30 minutes going back and forth with us and arguing amongst themselves. At that point we were told they over booked and had no more rooms left at all let alone with a jacuzzi tub. They refused to give us a refund and fully charged us for the room which I will now have to dispute with my bank. Staff had terrible attitudes and took zero accountability. Completely ruined mine and my boyfriend’s New Year’s Eve.

The location and room was relatively clean however here is what you can expect from this site: - you'll receive used conditioner and lotions. We didn't even have shampoo and had to request for it at the lobby. The workers were very generous and gave us a bunch. - some of the rooms may be falling apart (ex: bathroom door knob assembly was falling off, the jacuzzi jets may eject themselves out from its holder from time to time lol). - The continental breakfast included: coffee, juice, cereal, croissants, and muffins. Actual breakfast is $8. The coffee is decent - Bring your own damn pillows. You'll thank me later! What they give you is just not fair! Overall, we enjoyed the facility and would return knowing what to expect. The price should have included a full breakfast .

**If you are planning to book this hotel, be aware that the customer service is extremely poor here!** My partner and I had booked this hotel room prior, and as we were about to check in they let us know that they overbooked the rooms. Not only did we have to wait almost over 1 hour for the rooms to be prepared, the lady who was checking us in was not only very rude, but also gave attitude to my partner. No compensation whatsoever was given, and the only service and words we were provided was "if you don't like any of this, you can contact the hotel manager - Adrian Calagiu" while giving us his card. This is unacceptable behaviour, considering the amount of time and patience we had. Never again will I be visiting this hotel.

The room was nice and so was the amount of activities near by and the maids were so kind but the staff at reception were incredibly rude. My family and I went to this hotel for 2 nights and we were coming from Ottawa and it was a 5 hour drive, and they canceled our reservation because my mom didn't answer her phone even thought we were driving and couldn't call and drive at the same times and they also gave a lot of attitude towards us and were really rude towards my mom on the phone to get our reservation back. Everything else was good though.

When I checked in, the lady behind the desk was super nice and made me feel welcome. However the girl at checkout seemed standoffish. Not a friendly vibe. I was called around lunch time the day I was checking in (check in is at 3pm) and I did not answer because I was busy and they said they tried to authorize my card beforehand and would cancel if I didn't call back (I personally have only ever been charged once I check in, not hours before check in time) I called back and sorted it out, but I just thought that was strange. The rooms were nice, bed was comfy, however the room was freezing when we walked in (I'm assuming the ac was forgotten about), there was also a few holes in the ceiling around the sprinklers. There is also very limited options for the free breakfast. We went at around 8am, and there was fresh muffins and crossiants, two choices of cereal, yogurt cups, juice, some toast & hard boiled eggs. There was no pancakes or bacon or anything like that. Overall I don't think the price suits the hotel, however I'm not deterred from staying again.

I liked this hotel at all. Is not near of downtown Toronto, however, there’s a subway station 15 minutes walking that takes you in 45 minutes to the city. Airport is 15 min by car. Every worker there is kind and respectful. The room was great, with a little living room with TV, bathroom with all need amenities, bathtub. The Bed was very comfortable with another TV, it was clean. All mornings there’s a basic breakfast to start the day. WiFi was working good.

Staff were nice enough - but didn't explain things very well. Confusing how you can book your room with a visa debit card online, but if you want to use that for your payment the deposit apparently goes up to 300 from 100? Would have been nice to be prepared for that. Carpets need updating and jacuzzi vents are dirty. Noisy in the hallways and if someone is outside your door talking you'll hear them like they're right in your room. Other than that, the room was clean and a decent place to stay.

Upon arrival the room and bathroom seemed clean. However, when we lifted the covers to get into bed there was a long dark hair in the middle of the bed as well as some shorter blond hair, which obviously did NOT belong to us! Looked like the sheets were not changed (so gross!). When I called the front desk to ask for a new set of sheets, the reply from front desk was : "Miss, we are fully booked, I'll see what I can do". Someone brought us 1 sheet and 1 pillow case. By this time it was after midnight and I was too exhausted to deal. We made do for the night and checked out the next morning. Thankfully I was refunded for the second night that I had booked. Also the employee at the check out desk in the morning was not very friendly.

Reception let us check-in early which was really nice. We had a suite with the jacuzzi. It was large, lots of space. It's an older room, could be updated but it was really clean. You could see the ceiling has had some water damage. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was on the larger side, which was also nice.

The front desk lady didn't even greet me with a smile or anything when I first checked in.... The King Suite is way smaller than the pictures look. Also it wasn't very clean, the towels had all hair stuck to them that were supposed to be "clean". When you'd call the front desk good luck on getting an answer, had to call a few times to get someone to pick up. The location is only good if you're on a business trip. There is nothing around except empty fields of dirt that's going to be build into a big condo and street. I honestly would say I am never staying here again

The hotel was great, the service from the staff wonderful. BUT the breakfast they provided was absolutely horrible. This place has a full kitchen for you to purchase many varieties of food but the free breakfast they include was nonexistent. All they had was boiled eggs, tiny Pillsbury croissants, chocolate cookies and a few drinks. Worst part was since there were barely any options all the tiny croissants were instantly gone because that's all that people would eat. For a place that charges this much per night they could at least provide a proper breakfast for the guest. I've had better breakfasts at cheaper places.

Stayed in room 223 , king size bed + zaccuzi . The hotel is very clean , quite and plasent to stay in. The stuff are very friendly. Reasonable prices. Very high end room, our room had Air conditioner but it took it more than half a day too cool the room. The room was very clean and the bed is very comfortable. I am absolutely gonna stay in this hotel again in the future if I'll be in the area. Only 2 complaints , one of the Jacuzzi jets was falling , and the breakfast is horrible and cheap. (Yogurt, concentrated orange juice, disgusting cheap croissant very artificial, and ,mini apple a nature Valley snack)

Our stay was excellent! Staff always had a smile or a "hello" we had a last minute adult come with us. I asked if we could possibly get a 2 bed room (3 in our party) instead of 1 king and we were accommodated, np! Actually got a bigger room! This was the August long weekend. Very clean, smelled fresh. Beds ok but comfy. Continental breakfast was a surprise as I didn't think it was included. Great value for price! Would stay again!

Rude and unprofessional maids. Asked for housekeeping for a week and no one came. Didn't get towels for two days. Front desk people are not friendly at all and are straight up rude. Broken toilets, broken elevator that's been not working for a week. Housekeeping doesn't even wipe down table tops or vaccum. Not worth the hassle.

The girl at the front desk spent a long time with one customer and the other girl at the counter just sat there. Never asked to help us. It would have been nice if she acknowledged us or even apologized. We waited 20 minutes while the customer they were attending to, tried numerous cards with were all declined. The room was very clean and spacious. I would stay there again, but maybe they train the staff on how not to keep customers waiting. They should call for extra help or get the girl who was just sitting there doing nothing to help up.

The experience was ok. It got the job done, not a luxury experience for sure. Room keys stopped working almost every day. The room was called an executive suite but was very basic, small fridge, tiny couch I didn't use. Carpet was very thin on a concrete floor. I mean, I wasn't disappointed, just didn't feel like royalty if you know what I mean.

Stayed for 5 days. Rooms are big. Beds are ok, too firm for my liking. Continental breakfast is simple, not too many items to choose from. The front desk staff, some are friendly, some are grumpy. Restaurant staff in the morning, one staff has her headphones in the whole time and everyday I was there, she was on the phone the whole time. I coulnd even ask her questions as she was busy on the phone. Overall not sure If i would book here again next week.

They were alright. However the room sink was clogged. Also the jacuzzi tub kept spewing dirty chunks from the jets. I did not even want to use it. The bed was comfortable. The carpet could use an update in our room. The service was pleasant. I guess you get what you pay for.

Stayed the 17 to the 19th with my husband. First time away from our child. Front desk receptionist was so rude, starting yelling at us. Wanted 6 different cards out of my husband's wallet, to handle them all during covid. Tried to charge us 500$ for safety deposit. Drove 2 hours for this. Was ready to leave. Almost ruined our visit.

I think the one who works in the reception should learn to be tactful and nice with the hotel guests, and also should show a smile with the morning greeting. The two ladies who were working in the reception do not know how to say good morning. The word “what do you want” is not acceptable in hotel work, but the smile and morning greeting, and how can I provide any service to the guest, this is the language of hotels.

Friendly staff, very comfortable and clean rooms. The basic rooms come with a bathtub as well. Love it here. Update: Stayed here a couple more times since my first review. I really enjoy it here. This last time I stayed I booked a room with a jacuzzi tub. This is my go-to when booking a hotel in this area. Staff is very friendly, rooms are very well kept, property is beautiful, and the prices are very hard to beat. I already have another stay booked next month.

Hotel staff were great! Room not so much. Beds are stiff and creaky. One of the worst sleeps ever. Odd mechanical noises all night as well. Sound proofing is not great as you can hear people talking and even showering next door. Room was decently clean, though a bit outdated. Overall not a terrible experience, however, the hotel needs a bit of TLC.

Service sucks here.. We extended our booking 1 night for 2 rooms and paid ahead. But while checking out we were asked to pay again even we showed the receipt at the front desk. The lady at the front desk should know the job she’s doing. We were showing her the transaction but she was not understanding. We were also getting late for our flight. Thankfully, the guy at the counter made her understand that we had paid.

pros - good price, 5-10 min walk to subway and metro. Walmart right around the corner, various eating places in walking distance. room big enough. Clean bathroom, cleaning staff friendly, a little language barrier, Free continental breakfast. Cons - Front desk staff need to work on their customer service, not helpful and unfriendly, i had a lot of bags and was struggling and no one came to help, just finding out information from them was a struggle, not much channels for viewing and show rentals didn't work, lost money that was a struggle to get back, kitchen staff was not friendly, wish there were more options for breakfast, sheets were not changed for my entire visit, beds were just made up. Room had a musky scent. Really hated how unfriendly and unhelpful the desk staff were. Summary - I will not recommend and would not be staying again, but then again you get what u pay for...

Our stay at Monte Carlo Inn Vaughan provided a nuanced experience, combining notable positives with a few hiccups. Beginning with the positives, the King Suite offered exceptional space and unwavering cleanliness. Despite an issue (TV was not working at all) in the living room TV, the functional bedroom TV and robust WiFi made remote work seamless. The hot tub, unfortunately, fell short due to cleanliness issues (saw some hair pieces, it was embarrassing for my guest) , and room temperature control, while effective, introduced noticeable noise. Interactions with the receptionists, albeit initially reserved over the phone, evolved into helpful exchanges when needed. A warmer welcome at the outset could enhance the overall guest experience. They were helpful but.. sounded like they hate to help. On the breakfast front, the limited options and the discovery of spoiled coffee creamers were drawbacks (be careful, don’t get poisoned!). The expectation of an additional fee for a substantial breakfast seemed out of sync with typical hotel offerings, presenting an unexpected cafe-like experience (If you have cookies, yoghurt, croissants or cereal for breakfast; good for you, but if you are into eggs, tomatoes, and other healthier stuff, well, you need to pay extra). Highlighting the positive aspects, the hotel's strategic proximity to Walmart was a convenient plus. Moreover, the affordability of our stay was noteworthy, contributing to a generally positive impression. Additionally, being close to Pearson Airport adds significant value for travelers seeking proximity to transportation hubs. With these considerations, Monte Carlo Inn Vaughan holds the potential to compete with more established hotel chains, especially considering its affordability and convenient location near Pearson Airport. I have stayed at Hilton’s close to Monte Carlo Inn Vaughan, and to be honest; except the hot tub hairs part and the breakfast Monte Carlo Inn is way better. Would I book the King Suite again? Probably yes. I like the huge room and the luxurious vibe so much.…But with some bathroom bleach and my own prepared breakfast. Here's to anticipating refinements and improvements in the future! #MonteCarloInnReview #DetailedFeedback #AffordableLuxury

The front desk staff was not friendly and welcoming. The room was good and comfortable, but breakfast was not great. There are no eggs, and hotel management should improve the quality of service.

  • 2/5 Michelle B. 2 years ago on Google
Pillow cases were dirty (black marks and stained yellow). Hairs in the bathroom. Can hear EVERYTHING outside of your room …street traffic, people in the hallways, doors opening and closing, people using their water in the rooms nearby. I came here to rest and enjoy one night away from chaos… I’m a light sleeper so this is the last time I come here for a night away. Definitely not worth the price. $$$ The front desk was crowded and disorganized on arrival. I couldn’t hear the guy behind the glass, over the noise of other guests who were not socially distanced at the front counter. It was awkward and unprofessional. Overall the place is noisy, not a relaxing atmosphere for those looking for a peaceful night and undisturbed sleep.

If you are planning to stay there for a night, then come with all your home supplies because they won't give you anything. They don't have the following: Dental kit Shaving kit Hair cover Slippers Netflix Milk Sugar Feather blanket Hand sanitizer(even for the sake of covid, still nothing)

Decent hotel but does not have a pool unfortunately. It's located right across the street from a Walmart and not far from tons of shops and restaurants. The continental breakfast (free with a voucher) was very weak. This hotel should be avoided by people with young kids due to the lack of pool.

Terrible place to stay, ice machine out of service whole stay. The right side elevator was also out of service the whole stay. The bathroom was very nasty including the blow dryer and the shower head. The air conditioner had so much dirt,I didn't even know if it was safe to turn on and breath that air in.Also my cards never worked to get into the hotel or into my room the whole 7 day stay. All their answer to everything was were sorry but never fixed issue, just blamed it on other things such as you must have had the card beside your phone.smh I wouldn't stay here again even if it was free

I had a cozy and affordable stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and had all the necessary amenities. The staff was friendly and made me feel at home. Recommended for a budget-friendly option.

This is a cheap hotel, but the quality is low. The rooms are old style and there is a bad smell inside. you couldn’t open the window. The carts are always break and you have to go down to reception to repair. I have to do this five times. Lifts are slow only one working. The breakfast is really pure. You could eat just eggs, bread, some cookies and cones. That’s all. This hotel is good for one night but not more.

Considering the cheap price of the hotel, I was not expecting a lot. Check in was quick and smooth, although the lady almost didn’t give me my drivers license back after asking for it, probably a honest mistake though, nothing compared to how terrible the restaurant service was. The room we got was spacious, clean, no issues there. The problem began when we tried to order from the hotel’s restaurant as room service. The lady who picked up the phone for us to order had quite the attitude, sounding like it was the biggest inconvenience in the world to do her job. After an hour of no food arriving we called back for an update. The woman then straight up lied, saying we were called twice (untrue, iphones do a magical thing where they show incoming call logs, not that it ever rang to begin with, in-room phone never rang once either), and knocked multiple times (we were both in the room, quiet, no knocks ever happened). Disappointed and don’t appreciate being lied too. I don’t expect the most luxury in hotels of this price, but basic customer service would be nice.

Stayed at the Monte Carlo with my partner for 2 nights mid March for a little getaway mid-week. It was short notice and I booked online for a discounted rate - overall pretty good especially for what we paid. We had a jacuzzi tub in our room which was very nice. Room overall was decent, but the air conditioner was a bit problematic. We couldn’t adjust the temperature and the AC would only stay on for maybe 5 minutes before turning off, and never turning back on on its own. This wasn’t great as the entire hotel (hallways especially) were incredibly warm. The restaurant was nice, dinner options were very yummy and decently upscale (I loved the ravioli). The complimentary breakfast was a bit disappointing compared to the dinner service. It is complimentary and a self-serve, so again, standards weren’t too high, but both mornings we encountered empty areas where food/cutlery/condiments should be, no milk out for the cereal, and overall slim pickings. Staff weren’t rude or unfriendly, but certainly didn’t go above and beyond or offer friendly smiles. Overall, a decent experience for what we paid for. Nothing fancy, but Upgrading to the jacuzzi suite made our stay feel much nicer and made up for some other lacking areas

We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel! First impressions were of a clean hotel, easy to get to and welcoming. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We ate at the restaurant in the hotel. The food was so, so good! Potato rolls as an appetizer and the ravioli for a main course. The sauce was delicious as was the delicately cheese filled raviolis. The waitress was pleasant and helpful. We stayed in room 104 and were really surprised at how quiet it was! (Aside from another patron talking loudly outside the door at 5am!) But that is not the fault of the hotel. 😊 The complimentary breakfast was adequate. Cereal, toast, bagels, and spreads. Yoghurt, coffee and juice, muffins and probably more I can't think of. Again, the staff was friendly and helpful! Definately recommend this hotel!

Large spacious rooms, bed was huge and so comfy not to mention the bedding smelled freshly washed. Was nice and cozy to crawl in to after a long day. Bath tub is huge and I could soak nice and comfy. Very clean hotel. Friendly staff with a great complimentary breakfast

Coming off the elevator the halls smelled clean. Our room was spacious and once again clean smelling. The beds were comfortable and the sheets were crisp and, once again, smelled cleaned. The coffee in the morning was not to bad considering. Would definitely be back and recommend.

Nice and spacious rooms. Stayed on the 6th floor with the jacuzzi tub. Supposed to have a queen sized bed, but the bed was most likely just a double. The same size as their Markham location. For a room on the top floor, this was SUPER noisy. The neighbors were loud. VERY thin walls... you can also hear every time someone showers or uses the jacuzzi because the pipes would fill with water and start to rumble. You can also hear doors opening/closing. Not something I would recommend if you're a light sleeper like me.. the jacuzzi was quite enjoyable. The room we stayed in had 2 TVs. 1 above the fireplace directly across from the jacuzzi and 1 across from the bed facing the opposite direction. Quite convenient. Our room was clean. Didn't smell like smoke this time. The vending machines have diddly squat in them so make sure to bring your own drinks! Don't bother with their "continental breakfast". It's a joke. Go to the diner next to the hotel instead. Gordo's Diner. The staff was kind and knowledgable. They would always smile and say hello. The hotel was also near everything you need: mall, Ikea, Walmart and a bunch of other food places. Great area to be in. Ample free parking too.

Catalytic converter was stolen in the parking lot while staying here. Over $3000 in repairs due to poor security here. General manager was extremely uncooperative and unsympathetic in offering us a room (at more than a pitiful %50 off) after the theft, as car was not drivable and we were forced to stay in the area during repairs. Truly disappointing customer service when something goes wrong. Future guests beware until customer service improves and parking lot security does too

Sandy/Sandra, the woman working at front desk is an absolute gem. We usually stay in the Romeo and Juliette Suite or the Cleopatria Suite, though tonight the sunset suite was decent as it was all that was left for jacuzzi suites. Sandra assists us when we come and we enjoy this hotel over others because of the wonderful service provided. Thank you Monte Carlo for having people like sandra that ensure we get the perfect night upon arrival.

Older hotel. Our room was pretty dirty. Hair all over the place. Tables were sticky AC in our room was super noisy, and the temperature switch wasn't working right. So it was always full blast heat, or cold. The fridge barely worked, couldn't even keep our drinks cold. Location was good, and the price was the cheapest I could find in Toronto.

I can't give this place a 5 star rating. While the rooms were clean, they were also outdated technology-wise. The front desk staff and housekeeping staff were phenomenal. No complaints there. The issues are with the "restaurant". I use that term loosely. The continental breakfast was severely lacking variety. The only source of protein was hard-boiled eggs. It was very carb heavy. We wanted to try the restaurant itself as we were craving pasta. Well first, the hostess/waitress was asleep in the corner of the restaurant. The front desk had to go wake her up. The tables were set with linen table cloths and napkins so you'd think it was "higher end". I don't know of any high end type restaurant that would allow vulgar music at a loud volume to be played during dinner. The hostess/waitress was extremely shy and soft-spoken. There was also a language barrier. We ordered simple soft drinks, an appetizer and 2 entrees. The drinks were brought right way. Over 30 minutes later, a basket of bread with butter right out of the fridge was placed on our table without side plates. We were told it would be a few more minutes. About 10 minutes later, our appetizer was brought out but we still didn't have side plates. I had to ask for some and she brought saucers instead. Not 5 minutes after our appetizer was brought out, our entrees were brought out. We both ordered the lasagna as it sounded fabulous. It was quite the opposite. It was 7 layers of noodles with maybe a tablespoon a meat filling through the entire piece. It was literally just layers of noodles with sauce and melted cheese on the very top. After clearing our plates and hearing we were done the hostess/waitress still took 20 minutes to get our bill. We only received it because my husband went up to the counter to get it. Before you say, maybe the restaurant was busy. Nope, we were the only ones there. So while the hotel itself was nice and I'd stay there again, I'd eat off site.

Grabbed a room here because it was more than affordable and close to Canada’s Wonderland. The front desk checkin staff are very friendly and manager present to ensure smooth checkin which was very nice. This hotel follows COVID expectations, exceptionally clean rooms which deserves 5stars! The downside is no pool and restaurant is onsite but not open.

Room wasn’t ready on time even though we checked in even though we arrived an hour and a half past check in time. Was given another Corner suite was told “it was nicer” then the room they were going to give me. Walked in an upon first view the room looks like a standard hotel room all be it very dated. The room was not clean to covid standards let alone pre covid standards. The toilet seat had the sanitized seal on it lifted the seat had to use a Lysol wipe to clean the urine left on the toilet there was red hairs all throughout the bathroom nothing was wiped down my youngest found pubic hairs in the Jacuzzi tub. I wouldn’t let them touch anything. We bought the “family movie package” when we booked was charged for the movie paid over 300.00 CDN for one night. I will never stay here again.

It was easy to book our suite online. Staff were consistent in their service. The room itself was nice! It was missing a lot of the little things that would've tied it all together, some things include: one use toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouthwash, slippers, kettle. Although my experience with hotels are limited I thought these were some things that would make the experience feel more complete. The complimentary continental breakfast was super basic, enough to get you off your feet, but not enough to satisfy you. They only had, sliced bread, bagels, jams, apple&orange juice, boiled eggs, cream cheese, apple crumble. Besides the egg some other protein would have been awesome, like bacon or breakfast sausage.

Great service, comfortable beds (so much so, my wife wanted to buy the pillows from the Hotel). Clean, friendly, free parking, great location with a lot of amenities nearby. Good breakfast options. All round, solid prices too. I'd stay here again for sure. Might even be planning my next trip now.

The check-inn was quick, and they changed us to a Ground Floor King exec Suite. One watched TV in the separate room, while the other did some Geocaching logging in the main room. The breakfast was nice, and the atmosphere was great. We had no major complaints. We would stay again if in the area. The price was much better than the Suites Hotel we stayed in during Covid, which at the time was half the price.

We enjoyed our stay here. We were part of a wedding party and everything about this hotel was amazing. They made sure that everything was to our satisfaction. Our cleaning lady, Luisa Caruso was excellent. She was always smiling and pleasant. Our room was always cleaned. You could tell that Luisa enjoys her job. She goes over and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable. Thank You Luisa for making our stay extra special.

We called the night before to confirm we were booked for the top floor we confirmed twice! We showed up and we were booked for the 3rd floor, but they tried to charge us for the top floor rate. The rooms are straight out of the 70s some major updates are needed The pattern on the carpet was actually worn off. The room smelt like it use to be a smoking room but they tried to make it a non smoking room and thought no one would notice. Bed was comfy but thats really all it had going 4 it

Remember to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking your room. This website will compare countless booking web sites and usually will have prices a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later! This place is one of the most well known in this area. I have been coming here for a long time. If you stay for a few nights you for sure won't be let down. It was one of the best on dayuse before as they offered rooms with Jacuzzis. They only offer basic rooms nowadays. It's still a five-star for me because the other branch smells like someone's smoking inside their room.
